...I took my 6 year old son on the weekly food shop with me in the half term holidays - big mistake! His little eyes lit up at the sight of all the goodies on Tescos shelves. When walking through the freezer section he noticed some McCain Micro Chips in the freezer and asked if he could have some as his best friend liked them! I'm not a fan of frozen chips as a whole but to keep him happy I threw a packet in the trolley. Each packet of Micro Chips is a small, black, rectangular cardboard box. The box has a perforated front which you rip open before you microwave them. When I opened the front up the chips looked quite cheap in appearence. The chips themselves are quite long and thinly cut. Gameboy Micro - A Forgotten Gem

Advantages: Looks fantastic, Great battery life, amazing screen, huge library of games, cheap

...Though I was aware of the Gameboy Micro's release in 2005, it seems like myself, no one really took any notice at all when it launched, obscured by the release of 2004's original Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. The GBMicro really didn't offer anything new to the handheld gaming market at all, though there are a few factors which does help level the field of the major handhelds. Upon release, a brand new Gameboy Micro retailed for around £60-80, which for a seemingly out-of-date console was extortionate. Fortunately the price has come down a great deal in the last 2 years or so, seemingly over-stocking the Pink version as it is the cheapest available to which I purchase for a mere £13 as new from eBay. Dry chips anyone? (McCain Micro Chips)

Advantages: Quick to cook.
Disadvantages: Taste terrible.

...McCain micro chips are in my opinion a classic going back to my Uni days and they have always featured in my life! Although I do admit the chips are not the best I have ever eaten but for 3 minutes in the microwave what do you expect! The box I have is made of cardboard and branded McCain Microchips on the front and name "crinkle" which is the type of chips I selected. Cleary advertised on the front of the box is that the product cooks within three minutes. The back of the box contains cooking instructions (basically microwave for three minutes), the box contains 100g of chips, storage instructions (keep frozen) and contact details (see the end of this review). Strangely there is no ingredients list or nutritional information provided so for the meantime this information should be sought from the contact details provided at the end...

Micro in size mighty in storage

...About three weeks ago I took delivery of my new micro sd card from my beloved Amazon, the card in question is a SANDISK MICROSD 2GB PREMIER which comes complete with adaptor so it can be used in my printer or card reader. I bought a Sandisk for the simple fact that they are a well known memory card maker that gets great write ups and when it comes to my mobile phone which was what the card was bought for I take no chances. I use my phone to take photos and video clips a lot of which are of my niece and nephew and you know those special moments can't be replaced and as my phone has virtually no built in memery, I needed a card I could rely on and in the Sandisk I believe that's what I bought. I expected to pay over the odds because i wanted a Sandisk rather than the cheaper options but as usual Amazon came good and with delivery...

...I like chips almost as much as I love chocolate, so when I passed the frozen department in ASDA and saw these I thought I'd give them a try. They come in 4 packs at around £1.09. The packaging Is probably the most exciting thing about these, it's a lovely red colour with Mccains Micro Chips in big bold yellow letters. Each box is about 1.5 inches high, 4 inches wide and 6 inches high. To cook you simple open the box along the perforations at one end and flick this up. Bung in the microwave for 1 min 15 secs. Open the box fully and place the chips directly into the nearest dustbin. This will save you the unpleasant task of having to taste them. I have tried various settings on the micro wave to cook these but the end result is always the same. A limp soggy tastless chip. I wasn't expecting my chips to be as good as normal...

Advantages: good for a quick snack

...When these first came out they were on special offer - around £1 - so I decided to buy one. I don't have a sandwich toaster at home, so I dont get to eat toasties often , and I thought these were a great idea for a quick snack. They are packaged in a black box with a picture of the product on the front. The box is in the same style as those of the micro pizzas and the micro chips you can buy. You get two triangles in each box. The toastie was cheese and ham flavour, and you cook it by putting it in the microwave straight from the freezer. Apologies for not knowing how long as i no longer have the wrapper. When I opened the box, the product looked just as you would expect a toastie to look - just frozen! and when i cooked it, it still looked and smelled as it should. But the taste of it was not quite what i was expecting...
