...Microsoft is back with their second system, the Xbox 360. In my reviews for consoles, i usually review four categories, Controllers, Graphics, Multiplayer/Online, and Game Library (thus far) but for the 360 and my later review on the PS3, i'll also be reviewing the consoles Design. The design of the 360 is much like the original Xbox, odd. The original Xbox was a bulky black box and weighed more then two PS2's combined. The 360 isn't necessarily as big but it's just as odd with an unusual curved square shape. The 360 is also a pretty noisy system. You'll definitely have no trouble telling the difference on whether the consoles on or off because it has the worlds loudest fan. Advantages: Graphics, Playability, Addictiveness, range of games and XBOX LIVE.
Disadvantages: Red lights are way too common.

Xbox 360 Arcade - wonderful console, let down a bit by microsoft

...Problems It is best to get these out of the way first, no? I have had several Xboxes. The first suffered from a "three-quarters" fault that meant it did not work at all. This was a well-known fault in the machines, and so even though the machine was out of warranty, Microsoft would fix it. However, in order to get it fixed, we had to go through an unnecessarily complex process with shipping labels, etc. (which did not work from the emails we received), but eventually we got it sorted. However, it took so long that we actually went out and bought another one! This second one had trouble with the power supply only two months after being purchased. Advantages: quality product, easy to setup, lots of fun.
Disadvantages: cant think of any yet, besides game choice for women!

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - Best console ever made!

Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more.
Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor

...the reason why I never even considered the PS3 when I was choosing my next-gen console, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I would never get to play such games as Halo3 or Fable. The xbox live marketrplace is a great feature, it alows you to download themes, demos movie trailers,game trailers and even whole movies. Ofcourse some of this will come at a cost, which in most cases is a complete rip off if you are only buying things such as gamer pictures. This is the only real problem with the xbox 360, the price of the accesories :S. As with many things, microsoft liek to charge excessive prices for simple accesories and force you to buy their £60 versions by mnaking the cheaper ones not work. Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows

Advantages: Identical to XBOX 360 pad, build quality, fell

...Gone are the days of nasty sharp cornered PC game pads. This pad from Microsoft is superb in every way and it's great to see that many games now (on a decent PC) can really mirror the XBOX 360 in terms of experience. You don't need to be tucked away in a PC room getting RSI from a keyboard and mouse. You can play console games on your media centre PC in the lounge and it feels like a console. All buttons are identical to the 360 controller so the build and performance is perfect. I cannot fault this controller at all, there really is no other choice. I haven't tested the wireless version but I can just tuck it to the side and as gaming on the PC is not all does the wired version is a very good price for occasional use. Oh and as a final note, what on earth is the large X button for on the PC? It opens HOME on the XBOX but does nothing...
