The package comes in a range of versions, ranging from home to professional, and thus varying in price – up to £500!! The professional edition consists of the famous five, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher – all useful and productive tools for both the home and office. The depth and complexity of these programs is such that it is beyond the scope of this opinion, however, it must be stressed that if you want something done – use Office. ...Microsoft office 2007 is a fantastic update to the other microsoft office packages, I purchased tis produced 1 year ago, and at first was a bit sceptical about how the new layout was done. However once i got used to the new layout and design of the product it wa clear how much easier this version was to use. With many other new extras like - choice of hedding wthout having to scroll through all of the font designs. Everything about this product is so much easier to navigate around. I think that this is because there are no drop down menus in this vertion of microsoft office, the drop down menus have been changed to static menus which go across thetop of your page, so there is no longer the need to go into the same drop dow menu several times as it stays fixed until you choose a different menu. ...Microsoft Publish 2000 is the newest edition of publisher, publisher has been going for some years but the latest version is much easy to use and is more flexible and has better integration with the rest of the office suite. The wizards help you to load in your information, personal / business and it saves you typing each time. The clipart that comes with publisher is never any good but I only buy publisher for the tool to combine any of the documents I have created. The templates are excellent and easy to change and produce professional looking documents. I would recommend this to any small business user.... Read review

...an option to have more pages than before too, and the menu of things to create is pretty much the same. The main and most noticable change is the coloured background but this looks quite nice and does not affect the usage of the programme New Features... There are not really any new features to the 2007 version that the 2003 version did not have, which although it is a let down it makes life relatively simple. Installation... Installing the product is incredibly simple but beware, you need time on your side as it takes a very long time. The loading time is also a problem when you start it up after installation. The installation is poor in this respect but otherwise not too bad. Pricewise... Microsoft word is included in the lowest edition of office 2007 which costs around £100, however for other more advanced versions with more programmes... Read review

...Microsoft Office 2007 2007 is going to be a big year for Microsoft as they plan three major releases, pretty much concurrently. They will be bringing to market a new Operating System (OS) for PC's (Vista), a new OS for Server's (Longhorn) and a new Office Suite (I'm guessing the 'creatives' were in the pub by now so they just called it 2007). Bearing in mind the sheer scale of their global customer base, both commercial and retail, this is a massive exercise and you can be sure their marketing team will be bombarding us with promotions between now and then. As a Microsoft Partner I often get an early view of their releases and I have now been using the new Office suite for a several weeks so thought I'd take the chance to offer this brief overview. ...Although the Lotus SS (SmartSuite) package is appealing to the less computerly educated user, to the normal user, the services Lotus offer in the SS package just can't keep up with MS Office. The office suite although containing the same, lacks the cutting edge a business needs with an office package. Both the spreadsheet and the database lack the power and advancitivity that MS Access and MS Excel offer. Also the word processing package also needs a lot of inprovement if it is going to keep up with MS Word. The only up this has on MS Offiec is that interactivity between applications is better than that of MS Office.... Read review
