...windowsvista home basic Operating System.
This is one of six Microsoft's new version of Operating System. Users can install it to a Windows or Macintosh based Computer, along with upgrading from the previous xp versions. A Computer user interface, is the graphics, the layout of the software program. In simple terms it is what the user can see on the screen.
The home version that I am reviewing in comparison to my existing xp home Computer Operating System seems as the name suggests to offer just the basic new features. Is it any good?
The start button is smaller and squarer than that in xp home. The design based on what you see on the Desktop screen is far clearer and more professional from a design and quality perspective. Upon running the start menu, there is a Search Toolbar that enables fast browsing and access.

After the installation is finished, I started entering for the first time in the environment of WindowsVista Ultimate. And the difference the first time I see when entering the WindowsVista is replaced its "start" button that we usually find in Windows XP with the button that picture image of Microsoft logo. And some other different features that can not be found in Windows XP is Windows Side Bar where we can see the clock and calendar, and other gadgets that are located on the right side of the desktop. The other different thing from the WindowsVista is skin that is now black, and cannot set or change into other colors. But the most...
Advantages: If you have the hardware, the speed will be amazing. Disadvantages: If your not using a 64bit system. Only thing you will see different is the design.
...Well, are you thinking of getting vista? Well a few things you might want to know before you decide.
Vista home basic is well, basic. Maybe suitable for the basic user who has no idea how there pc is working. Its security is regarded by Microsoft as the best yet. Maybe so, but when things go wrong, because its basic, the recovery tools to fix your system without losing everything is next to nothing, hence Basic.
If you do chose to buy vista, I would recommend buying Home Premium as that has everything you need to keep your windows sweet & secure. If any problems, crashes or data lass happens. It has good recovery tools to make sure the loss is kept to the minimum.
WindowsVista is a powerful windows. Everything is designed for high quality graphics & style. So, if your pc has limited memory & CPU power, you?re going to have...
Advantages: it looks nice Disadvantages: it is unreliable and unpredictable
..., along with various other informative ones and also games and other things to entertain you whilst you work, or whatever else it is you do on your pc. This side bar tends to make it run slower however and I have resorted to disabling it as although it is a nice addition to the desktop it is a pain when I am trying to do things and it runs the laptop slower. As well as the widgets everything has had a makeover, all the boxes and menu's, including icons, and I think that it is a big improvement. The new look of Windows is a much needed refreshment of the old XP as that was starting to get boring, I particularly like the little thumbnail boxes you get pop up when you move the cursor over the open pages/folders you have minimised in the task bar.
In short I feel that Microsoft has out done themselves when it comes to the cosmetics of Vista...
Advantages: Have to read entire review Disadvantages: Compatibilty Problems

Windows Operating System
Microsoft, a software giant company has most popular operating system in the world with Windows tag. Windows operating system is ruling on almost 95% computers in the world. What is special with Windows so that it has such popularity? Question is not so complicated, and everyone knows that Windows has many user friendly features with easy access. Windows is so easy and any child who is operating it first time can easily understand it. Everything is predefined and no need for additional help to operate it. The name Windows is indicates that this operating system has all icons like windows and it can be easily access by clicking on it. Some other operating systems also have similar kind of philosophy of accessing like in Macintosh which is also...
Advantages: Speed, Durabliity, Function, less memory use & ease of Use Disadvantages: Some product in-compatible
...MicrosoftWindowsVista Home Premium is far better that any version of windows I have used, to start at the beginning the installation is more automated and easier, making a quicker installation, although in my opinion I would not recommend an upgrade, but moreover a clean install, I would also recommend you installing Microsoft compatibility software, which can be downloaded from their website.
If there is incompatible software, its a nightmare to remove and correct, i.e. when I first installed I did a direct upgrade only to find my SATA drives (64 bit incompatibility only) and Zone Alarm Internet Security was incompatible (later editions compatible, except when running 64 bit architecture).
Some Software after the direct upgrade could not be removed as the Install/Uninstall programs had been removed by the upgrade (These...
Advantages: New Programs Disadvantages: Security Box pops up alot
...WindowsVista Build 5308 is the first build that is nearly feature complete. It's also the first build that allows testers to install the five major flavors of Vista that will be offered when the OS ships: WindowsVista Business, WindowsVista Enterprise, WindowsVista Home Basic, WindowsVista Home Premium, and WindowsVista Ultimate. (We've all heard this.) The research for this story was based on WindowsVista Ultimate. Microsoft has not released a features-comparison table that shows what's offered (or not offered) in the various Vista SKUs. It's going to take people like me a while to install all those flavors and figure out what's different. Morevoer, even if we had the comparison data right now, there's every possibility that it could change in the final versions of Vista.
What does "nearly feature complete" mean, and is this...
Advantages: All of the Windows Vista Features Disadvantages: They're Windows Vista Features
...WindowsVista is the "next generation" operating system from Microsoft, well that's what they say. The "WOW" starts now is their new tagline, so does it really? I am going to review the new and rather expensive offering from the biggest computing company in the world.
Microsoft say that they are hoping for WindowsVista to be installed on 100 million computers by the end of 2007, but the people that I have discussed WindowsVIsta with, all say the same thing, they'll buy it when SP1 (codenamed, Windows Figi) is released, this will get rid of all the bugs in the system, of which there are a lot.
For a start, if you think there is fantastic driver support, then think again, when I installed Vista there were 4 drivers missing, OK, go online and get some new drivers, but the Ethernet card driver is missing, I cannot get on the internet...
Advantages: easy to use not very advanced Disadvantages: sometimes slow and hard to recover in some cases
...they are simple and very easy to use. for anyone who needs a gaming computer i reccomend vista ultimate which has practically everything and also is good for business people who need or like games and also need to work vista home premium was probably the average one out of all the windowsMicrosoft have brought out but is still good for non advanced users....
Advantages: Tight security new entertaining games, Fast search Disadvantages: annoying when it always asks you if it should proceed into opening programmes
...Before you even read further you need to know that Vista is the most amazing software that Microsoft has ever published. It is just amazing and after you finish reading the review you must think the same as well.
I actually learnt about Vista before it was published in the shops because I work in one of the biggest electronic shops (I won't say which one), so basically they wanted me to know all about Vista in case if the customers came in and asked me.
I got windowsVista with my new Advent Laptop which I bought in September 2007. My Laptop did come with WindowsVista Premium because it has a 2GB which is the best memory on RAM you should mainly have when you want WindowsVista Home Premium on you computer or laptop. You computer or laptop will still come with WindowsVista Home premium when it has 1GB of RAM. I don't know if you...
