Microsoft Laser Mouse
Advantages: Easy to Use,Good technology
Disadvantages: Price and Colour
...I bought this mouse as one of my friends recommended this to me because it is a laser mouse which means that it is has more accuracy and control with the use of advanced laser technology. It is also wireless too which was handy too as i dislike having too many wires and since this is made from microsoft, it seemed like a good choice.
The feautures and unique selling points of this include the following:
- Wireless Freedom
- Ergonomic Design
- Rubber-Sided Grip
- Customizable Buttons
- Smart Receiver
- Cutting-Edge Design
- Designed for Notebook PCs
- Scroll Wheel
- Four Customizable Buttons
- 4-Button Mouse
In terms of usage it is very good and easy to use as it is very precise and is comfortable to use with either hand for long durations.
I paid £26 for mine at my local...

A great mouse from Microsoft
Advantages: Tracks perfectly and accurately, wireless freedom
Disadvantages: Included documentation is poor
...UPDATE:
~~~~~~~~
After trying to charge the mouse for the second time, the mouse would stop charging after 3-5 minutes. What would happen was the green charging light would flash for 3-5 minutes and then this would change to red and flash. On looking on the internet I read many posts on this problem, so it would appear I'm not alone.
I am in the process of returning the faulty mouse and am getting a Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. This mouse takes normally non rechargeable batteries which apparently last 6 months, so hopefully I should not have any such problems with this mouse.
This was my first Microsoft mouse as I normally purchase Logitech, but with having a bad experience with the Logitech MX Revolution I decided to give Microsoft a try, and I wasn't disappointed. I purchased the Microsoft Wireless Laser...
Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel
Advantages: Very robust and firm wheel. wireless
Disadvantages: MAY STRIKE SOME AS "CHEAP" LOOKING
...and not because it is cheap.
The pedals attach to the wheel with a cable, which is supplied but is long enough to enable you to seperate the two well and you can even purchase your own longer cable if you really want a lot of room, which is probably unlikely.
Overall this is a good unit. It comes with a copy of PGR3 along with the drivers to update your 360 to be able to use this wheel. It is appropriately priced and I personally feel good value for money as this unit does not need to be attached to the 360 as it is wireless.
It does have a slight "cheap" look to it due to the use of white plastic but atleast it means it fully matches up with the 360 itself.
The most important thing is it has excellent response in gameplay which is what you want the wheel for....
Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard
Advantages: looks smart, easy to install & use, responsive
Disadvantages: batteries wear out quickly
...I purchased this wireless mouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money.
This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly.
Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type...
Great Value Laser Mouse
Advantages: Smooth, Great Looks, Batteries Last Ages, Magnifier
Disadvantages: Side Buttons Can Be Pressed Accidentally
...I was looking for a laser mouse to play games with mostly as they are smoother than optical mouses and came across this one and couldn't believe the price for a Microsoft product. There are many gaming laser mouses that are more expensive but I found this one perfect for a gamer on a budget.
When I received the product I couldn't believe all the different features it had. The first thing I recognized though from using it was the smoothness. It was so much easier to use than an optical mouse. The software supplied is also very easy to install and helps you to set up all the different functions. The scroller also works really well and can go in four different directions. You may think this is pointless but when you have its amazing all the different things you use it for. One thing I found it was good with was Excel documents when you...
A great wireless mouse
Advantages: Scrolls up down left and right, side buttons
Disadvantages: You can accidentally press the side buttons
...I really like this mouse, although it feels quite large if your going from a laptop mouse to this.
I love the side buttons, they are great for going back a page on the internet and its something I have found very helpful even though it can be pressed accidentally. The right hand side button magnifys the pages in a some square I fins this useful when I'm lying ing bed watching a DVD as it means I can skip forward a chapter much easier as I can see clearer, although again it can be pressed accidentally.
The scroll wheel is good, although sometimes it does scoll to far (but that may be my settings, I don't know). Also with this scroll wheel the user is able to scroll from left to right, this is useful if the user is using Exel or a spreadsheet program to move from left to right, other than that I rarely use it unless a website has...
Microsoft Go Wireless Baby
Advantages: No more cables, easy to set up and a joy to use
Disadvantages: A lot of additional costs
...all comes to live.
A lot of wireless controllers made by third parties to work with the likes of the XBox tended to have quite an intermittent signal. That doesn't seem to be the case with the official Microsoft controller, which not only boasts a strong signal but can be used up to 30ft away from the console without the performance and connectivity suffering. The performance of the controller is quite similar to the normal wired controller and with no lag between your actions on the pad and the results on the screen it does seem to be a success.
Overall it would appear that Microsoft have taken the best elements of the original controller, given them a snazzy overhaul, detached the wires and created a controller that is a marked improvement on the previous effort. The only complaint I would have with the wireless controller...
WIRELESS GAMING - AT A PRICE
Advantages: Wireless connectivity to Xbox live, Simply to setup
Disadvantages: Ridiculously expensive, Doesn't come in black to match my Xbox 360 Elite
...If, like me, you have an Xbox 360, you will no doubt be aware of the dynamic and enjoyable facility available to you online, namely Xbox live. Xbox live is a place where you can download demos and game add-ons, chat to your friends, and stream movies and videos direct to your Xbox 360 in glorious high definition. But while the Nintendo Wii and the Sony Playstation 3 can go online straight from the box without any additional hardware, Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided not to include wireless connectivity as standard in the Xbox 360.
This leaves you with a couple of options should you wish to get your Xbox 360 online; an Ethernet cable from your router is probably the cheapest way, but in these wireless days I was really looking at reducing the cables stretching around my home, not add to them. There is another method...
Wireless ready!
Advantages: Plug-and-Play
Disadvantages: Pricey!
...Having tried to connect my 360 via ethernet to my wireless connection, through my Mac or my Windows laptop, and having no success, this provided the only feasible solution.
Unfortunately, unlike the PS3, the Xbox 360 is not wireless-ready out of the box, and in order to make it so, you must invest a further £50+, which is quite a pain in the rear.
Unfortunately, it seems that, in making the console itself so cheap and appealing, Microsoft aim (as always) to make their money on the peripherals, which everybody needs for the full gaming experience.
Nevertheless, this does exactly what it says on the box (sorry to be cliched).
Plug-and-Play, as expected, you connect it to your console and through your dashboard, search for your wireless connection and, with your WEP key or security key at hand, you can instantly connect to your...
Wireless mice just got a whole lot better
Advantages: Sleek design, long bttery life, excellent tracking, low cost
Disadvantages: Not particulary suitable for dedicated gaming
...Optical and wired mice are thing of the past now. Enter the wireless mice with Microsoft leading the display. The Microsoft Laser Wireless mouse 5000 0004Model is a perfect blend of style, comfort and quality tracking.
Well placed rubber grips and symmetrical design enables it to be used by either hand. Easy to set up and use and a light blue light when active gives an ambient look. It has an impressive range and can easily follow orders up to 25 feet away. The wheel is smooth and it has an auatomatic power save mode where it turns off after being inactive.
The mouse itself works on a newer blue track beam which offers fine and smooth control which surpasses most mice. Add a 3 year hardware warrenty as well as an estimated 8 months battery life and you got yourself a bargain of a product.
At 20 pound this is a deal you just cannot let...
