...After hearing how good Microsoft's next-gen gaming console was, I decided to invest. And what a good choice that was. I purchased an Xbox 360 Elite last year and how glad I am that I did. Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - Best console ever made!

Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more.
Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor

...the reason why I never even considered the PS3 when I was choosing my next-gen console, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I would never get to play such games as Halo3 or Fable. The xbox live marketrplace is a great feature, it alows you to download themes, demos movie trailers,game trailers and even whole movies. Ofcourse some of this will come at a cost, which in most cases is a complete rip off if you are only buying things such as gamer pictures. This is the only real problem with the xbox 360, the price of the accesories :S. As with many things, microsoft liek to charge excessive prices for simple accesories and force you to buy their £60 versions by mnaking the cheaper ones not work. Advantages: All the basics you need to get started

...The X-Box 360 Arcade package is probably the cheapest X-Box package currently available and contains just about everything you need to get you started in your gaming experience. Personally, I see this more as a starters kit, it contains all the basics that you need and that's about it, so it's a good package for testing the X-Box out and finding out if you'd like to upgrade. I bought one of these around Christmas time (2008) for around £130, just after they came right down in price and must say that I am more than satisfied with the product. The arcade pack comes in with twelve months warranty, though a lot of people say that the X-Box console has a tendency to pack in just as the warranty runs out. ...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

Xbox 360 Elite - It covers all angles!

Advantages: Faster, Larger Memory, More Games, Fantastic Online System, Looks Stunning
Disadvantages: Slightly noisy when watching a dvd, will asorb you into a long life of gaming.

.... Then there is the xbox dashboard, this is where you can launch games, download game demos, movie trailers, HD movies for renting, game add ons, new themes and gamer pictures and so much more! There are also arcade games such as Uno, Original Doom and Metal Slug which can bring back those nostalgic moments in arcades and on ancient PC's. The huge 120 Gigabyte hard drive means that you can store more game info and saves but also HD movies to watch and and any videos you feel like downloading. The only issue with the new drive is transferring the old drive contents which can be done easily with the cable and cd supplied by microsoft by request. ...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console. Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. The Elite seems to be slightly less noisy but this still depends on what DVD drive you get in your system. Unfortunately it is down to luck which one you\'ll get. ...all sorts of horror stories about the reliability on the 360 & a few about the PS3, but to be honest I've not had a problem, I did get a red flash on the ring once a year or so ago, switched off, then back on again & it was fine & has been since (touch wood), no problems as yet on the PS3 but it's still fairly fresh out of the wrapper ( bought the slim model recently), one of my mates had a 360 that died after a year or so, but Microsoft covered it, I think they give a 3yr cover on the xbox against RROD these days (I guess they had to, as the stories that were flying about must have been putting everyone off the system). Maybe I've just been lucky with my consoles but @ the moment, they ALL still work, (Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, Wii, 360 & PS3) even my original Mega Drive (the dreamcast did need a minor repair which I did myself...
