Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - Best console ever made!

Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more.
Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor

...the reason why I never even considered the PS3 when I was choosing my next-gen console, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I would never get to play such games as Halo3 or Fable. The xbox live marketrplace is a great feature, it alows you to download themes, demos movie trailers,game trailers and even whole movies. Ofcourse some of this will come at a cost, which in most cases is a complete rip off if you are only buying things such as gamer pictures. This is the only real problem with the xbox 360, the price of the accesories :S. As with many things, microsoft liek to charge excessive prices for simple accesories and force you to buy their £60 versions by mnaking the cheaper ones not work. Advantages: Good value for money, looks quite trendy
Disadvantages: live points can mean extra to pay out if you want to go online.

...In my opinion the XBOX 360 is a really good buy priced at around £200 if not less if your lucky, it's a console that you (or whoever you intend on purchasing one for) will get a lot of use out of. The arcade is the cheapest and it costs around £140. My son and my brother both had one each for christmas last year and they have been used pretty much constantly!! The games can be quite expensive but you can find some good bargains in some shops and you'll find pre-owned games a lot cheaper, sometimes saving atleast £20 off the usual selling price! They aren't that bad to look at either and do not look out of place under you TV. ...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console. Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. ...I am quite a demanding gamer.... but alas i have given in to the xbox 360 and have even bought one for my little brother. The best thing about the xbox 360is the quality and catalouge of games which it supports. Microsoft have hit the nail on the head with its graphics which I think are far better than its rival ( sorry sony ) . The set up of the console is extremely easy and wireless control pads stop us from tripping over it like we did with our old console. The cost of the xbox 360 is very competitive compared to rival game stations and depending on where you shop you can now get an extremely good deal including game bundles. ...all sorts of horror stories about the reliability on the 360 & a few about the PS3, but to be honest I've not had a problem, I did get a red flash on the ring once a year or so ago, switched off, then back on again & it was fine & has been since (touch wood), no problems as yet on the PS3 but it's still fairly fresh out of the wrapper ( bought the slim model recently), one of my mates had a 360 that died after a year or so, but Microsoft covered it, I think they give a 3yr cover on the xbox against RROD these days (I guess they had to, as the stories that were flying about must have been putting everyone off the system).
