Microsoft Xbox 360 - A HD Gaming Machine

Advantages: impressive graphics, great gaming, good price
Disadvantages: building quality not great

...i was blown away by the sheer detail in the games. Also the 360 allows you to play games in full 1080p high defintion. Memory With the premium and elite versions of this console you get a hard disk to store content on, so need to buy endless amounts of memory cards. The premium version comes 20gb and with the elite you get 180gb. Which in both cases provides you with a lot of space, espicially if you dont download alot of content. I have had my xbox for 2 years and have never come close to filling my 20gb Hard disk. The controller The xbox controller is one of the first to be ergonomic and truely designed to fit your hand perfectly. With the premium and elite packages you get a wireless control which uses 2 AA batteries, but you wont have to spend a lot of money on batteries as the controller can go weeks without new ones...

Xbox 360 Premium 60 GB Review

Advantages: Fast, Looks, Everything!
Disadvantages: Not anything really... Maybe the disk "Ring" issue. But nothing that major.

...This is a review of my Xbox 360 Premium with the 60 GB Hard-Disk-Drive. I got this for Christmas last year and its been great ever since. To keep it in good running condition and to prevent "The Red Ring" I only play it about 5 days a week and not for over 1.30 hours. GTA IV is great on it and runs nice and fast and never lags. The 360 looks great and beats the PS3 in my opinion. The other problem with the 360 is that very occasionally it will make a grinding noise and the disk will get a ring round it and will render it unplayble. This happened with my first GTA IV disk. It also happened on my friends 360-Elite with his "Guitar Hero" game. I have never used Xbox-Live on mine but I'm sure its a good feature. I would really reccomend this games console as a console for the serious gamer! There is a lot of good games out...

Xbox 360 Arcade - wonderful console, let down a bit by microsoft

...Problems It is best to get these out of the way first, no? I have had several Xboxes. The first suffered from a "three-quarters" fault that meant it did not work at all. This was a well-known fault in the machines, and so even though the machine was out of warranty, Microsoft would fix it. However, in order to get it fixed, we had to go through an unnecessarily complex process with shipping labels, etc. (which did not work from the emails we received), but eventually we got it sorted. However, it took so long that we actually went out and bought another one! This second one had trouble with the power supply only two months after being purchased. Intermittently, the power supply would completely stop functioning, suggesting that there was something wrong with the wiring, but we never managed to figure out precisely what...

...all sorts of horror stories about the reliability on the 360 & a few about the PS3, but to be honest I've not had a problem, I did get a red flash on the ring once a year or so ago, switched off, then back on again & it was fine & has been since (touch wood), no problems as yet on the PS3 but it's still fairly fresh out of the wrapper ( bought the slim model recently), one of my mates had a 360 that died after a year or so, but Microsoft covered it, I think they give a 3yr cover on the xbox against RROD these days (I guess they had to, as the stories that were flying about must have been putting everyone off the system). Maybe I've just been lucky with my consoles but @ the moment, they ALL still work, (Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, Wii, 360 & PS3) even my original Mega Drive (the dreamcast did need a minor repair which I did myself...

...Being a playstation boy I've never bothered with the Xbox, however through boredom and impulse I found myself buying an Xbox 360 one day. To coin a Carlsberg phrase, the 360 is probably the best console around. The graphics are second to none and until sony can get to grip with what they really want out of the PS3 the 360 will remain streets ahead. It is available from around £180 upwards depending on system and game bundles you purchase with it with again leaves it extremely better priced than the PS3. The controller whilst more bulky than sony controllers fits nicely in the hand and the rechargeable battery pack is a must get addition. I would say however that although there is a great variety of games available for the Xbox 360 it is undoubtedly at its greatest when playing shoot 'em up's, games such as Halo 3 and Gears...

...The microsoft xbox 360 is in my opinion the best games console out there, ultimately enhanced by the superb online gameplay capabilities and magnificient graphics which it has. It is incredibly easy to use (even my dad can use it) and it is easy to transfer date from a computer to it also. There is a huge variety of games that can be played on it and the games that can only be played on the xbox 360 (gears of war, halo 3) are better than the games that can only be played on Sony Playstation 3 (Little Big Planet). Even though the online gameplay costs, (£5 a month if paying monthly) it makes up for it with seriously awesome gameplay compared to PS3 live which is free however not as good. The reason the Xbox was the best was because it can do a lot more than their competitors who created the Playstation 2. The Xbox produces way better graphics, you can download music onto it, it comes with a hard drive built in, you can have four players at once and with the PS2 you can only have two.
