Fantastic Miele Cat & Dog Hoover !

Advantages: Powerful..Easyand light to use . Worth every penny for the easy housework !
Disadvantages: The Miele hoover bags i think are a little on the expensive side ..

...I have owned my Miele cat & dog hoover now for 3 weeks . I have run my own house now for 30 years and have owned a few hoovers in that time and have cursed and sworn and each and every one of them ! One was way to heavy and bulky to use on the stairs ( upright Hoover ), another could'nt even suck the fluff off the carpet ( vax hoover ) . I have even owned a Dyson , which i paid good money for and it worked brilliantly for the first few months , then it just seemed to lessen in power and eventually it was used for cleaning the car only. I then was reduced to sweeping the carpets with a broom ! Then my daughter bought a Miele cat and dog hoover because she has 5 dogs and cat . Miele Cat & Dog 700

Advantages: it works! sturdy, unbreakable
Disadvantages: bags are quite expensive

...We bought this after reading other reviews on Ciao. We have 7 cats, 3 of which are Persian, and also 3 lovebirds who leak feathers like there's no tomorrow. We had previously exhausted 2 Dysons and an Electrolux . I wasn't too keen to go back to a 'bag' cleaner, but I have no doubts about recommending this one. This hoover works! It deals with all manner of fluff and dirt. The provided on board tools are standard, but great for all jobs. You can use this for the car and narrow staircases with no loss of efficiency. The Turbo head is a boon on carpets, but not so good on flat floors. The 6 settings mean you can use it for dusting picture rails and coving, sucking fur of f your pets favourite armchair, and the curtains that lie touching it, as well as give the carpets a really good go at the same time. Hoover Cat & Dog - Miele TT5000

...Over the last year my hoover has gradually been losing its suction, and I was rather annoyed to discover a few weeks ago that it had almost completely stopped sucking. That would explain why I had to go over and over my carpet time and time again before it would look anywhere near clean. I am one of these people that never like to throw things away so I just struggled on with it. But now it has stopped sucking completely I guess I was left with little choice but to throw it away and buy a new one (it was about 5 years old anyway). So with a tear in my eye I took my old hoover down to the dump and set out to buy a new one.. After spending an hour or so hunting around the shops I came across the Miele Cat-Dog TT5000. Not just for cat and dog hair

Advantages: Excellent at picking up long human hair
Disadvantages: Expensive replacement parts

...I've had my Miele cat and dog vacuum for almost 4 years and it has consistently outperformed all other vacuum clearners I've ever had. I almost didn't buy it because the sales person said that it's only suitable for pets with short hair - so I was worried that long human hair would cause problems. There was no need for my concern though, it's been wonderful at picking up long hairs (I've had to resort to using the nozzle to pick them up with most vacuums - and a friend used to use sellotape to pick them off the floor before getting a Miele). After almost 4 years the Miele cat and dog vacuum has suffered its' first problem - the vacuum head stopped going round (possibly due to long hair getting tangled in it). I'll admit that the £70 ish replacement wasn't cheap but on balance I'd prefer to get a new vacuum head every 4 years than...

S5260 CAT & DOG MIELE VACUUM CLEANER

Advantages: Great cleaning results for dog hairs on all floor types

...Excellent machine, I am so please I actually love to hoover now! The cleaner is solid, but light weight. The metal tubes extend to a fantastic length and the head can be altered so it will fit up my sofa, bed, etc. The cleaning result is amazing, especially for dog hairs. The tools are brilliant, so I now use the vacuum for carpets, hard floors and tiled floors. The tools give great results on sofa and curtains. I use the small brush tool everywhere - skirting, door tops, ceilings and loads more. The S5260 is very simple to use and stores away very well, as it has a side and bottom brakets that hold the metal tube and head. This also makes lifting up and down stairs very easy. Miele Cat & Dog Max

Advantages: Unbreakable, don't worry about the dog chewing the hose or the kids jumping on it!
Disadvantages: You can only buy the bags from Miele or John Lewis

...After having so many vacuum cleaners abused by husbands and pets. Miele Cat & Dog MAX has survived it all. The body is made of 'crash helmet' material and the tube is indestructible! If you don't believe me, get your kids to ride on it and pull it along or your pet to chew it. It is so silent on the low setting my husband can watch TV as I get on with dusting. The high setting will pick up any pet hair, my husband even found the upholsery turbo brush great for his fur-covered suit! Best of all it's so silent your cats will stay asleep as you clean their pet beds. Great if you're an asthme sufferer too! With a cat and a log burner this vacuum is a God send!

Advantages: Works well on lots of different surfaces

Frightened of dog hair? Enter the mother of all suckers.

Advantages: Quiet, easy to use, excellent for pet owners and it looks quite nice
Disadvantages: Miele's aren't usually cheap

...empty, with fur flying literally everywhere outweighed it's advantages for me. Furthermore, I didn't find the suction to be as good as it should have been. So when the time came to replace the Dyson, unlike other electrical items I've bought recently, the main criteria wasn't the price but performance. I needed a vacuum cleaner which was easy to manoeuvre, and most importantly would remove the dog and cat hairs from our carpets. So having spent some time online, looking at various makes of vacuum cleaner, I settled on the Miele TT2000 Cat and Dog cleaner. This is one of the earlier editions from Miele, which now do a range of other vacuums for pet owners.
