...ol' Mike's Hard Lemonade, just goes to show how much he loves ya, and telling y'all about what he's eating and drinking. However, the fact it itself was on offer helped. The bottle itself is the usual 275ml one, with clear glass, and black and yellow labels, with the design of a lemon silhouette on. Also, each label has a stupid slogan on - "Grab life by the lemons", "Make it Mike's", "Tastes kinda like homemade lemonade with vodka" - some clearly snappier than others. This is just silly, and loses marks in trying to appeal to the yoof market with nonsense spelling (or just plain no sense). PACKAGING gets 3 stars, so from now on in we'd better be a bit more scientific. AROMA On popping the bottle we remember we're "working" for our readers at ciao, and so try and find a scent. Ways to get the wife drunk...

Advantages: Cheap..not unpleasant
Disadvantages: alcohol seems to settle at the bottom of the bottle!

...8.30pm last night I was given my orders.... Go to Asda Buy me alcohol Must be chilled So off I go without a complaint (knowing full well I'll be able to purchase myself a few large Grolsch bottles). Upon finding the solitary chiller cabinet I see that the only chilled booze they have on offer is the oddly titled Mike's Hard Lemonade. So, with all good intentions, I pick up a pack of 4 and head home (after paying of course). I had the honour of trying a bottle, but I'm not sure if this was because she wanted to see if it killed me before she tried it...hmmm So.....to the review Introduction: Mike's Hard Lemonade originates from the good old USA, where it seems to have a strangle hold on the alcopop type market. I'm almost certain that it's only recently appeared over here in the UK, maybe only a year or two ago...

Advantages: Very likeable and playable album

...MIKE & THE MECHANICS "Hits" - Relatively cheap to purchase these days ... I wouldn't pay anymore than £6.99 I am just listening to it as I write this ... very beneficial! This album is a collection of the bands hits from 1985 through to 1996 and includes songs that the band have experienced great success with in various regions of the world over an eleven year span. The album sleeve is fairly basic, with a cartoon design of a mechanic slumped asleep upon a tyre, resting upon his tool box in front of a gas filling pump. Advantages: Big hits

...Mike Jones is a Houston-based rapper. He specializes in this the H-town style of rap which also involves 'Screwed and Chopped' in this style, the music is cut and jerked about, or at least it sounds like this to create an original sound. This style slows down the tracks and this album was brought out later with a second disc using the same tracks that are screwed and chopped. Many who do not listen to this music will think that the music has some digital glitches in them, but this is the effect that they are trying to create. "Who is Mike Jones?" is the debut solo album from this album. He chose to give it this title due to his name being so regular, its very common in America. This album was recored in 2004, but it wasn't until late in 2005 when it was released by Swishahouse. Jones' Swishahouse label mates feature on this album...

...Love this film :-p And not only because its got a VERY sexy Bruce Willis running around!!!! The film has been on TV alot recently, possibly promoting the new Die Hard 4.0 film, and I was (forced!!) to watch it with my husband, I didn't want to...its not my kind of film, but when we watched it, I found it amazing!!! ...My first experience of Mike's Hard Lemonade was in the deepest darkest regions of north west Ohio. It's not that mid-west America doesn't have it's own curious charm, but it deserves it's reputation of being Hickville, USA. In a land where beer is not only king but the only inhabitant, it was refreshing to see the immigration of Mike's Hard Lemonade into the bars of the area. As the only alcopop on sale in many of the Ohian bars it soon became my regular tipple. Unfortunatley this was mainly due to it's monopoly of the market more than my love for the lemony tang. This drink is definitely tuned to American tastes and has much of the charm of the good ol' lemonade stalls that Americans used to run as kids. Mike Bassett for England

Advantages: An absolutely faultless flick in which EVERY cinematic element is 100%
Disadvantages: You will want to watch it time and time again!!!

...Mike Bassett: England Manager is a comedy and an absolutely hilarious one at that!! This is actually one of the few comedy films that is actually far funnier than it's teaser trailer!! In fact, it is so funny that it makes me feel proud to be English in that this film, in my opinion is THE Brit-flick of 2001!! Ricky Tomlinson (of 'The Royle Family' fame) plays Mike Bassett, a down and out football manager who is chosen to manage the England team.
