Review of Sainsbury's Total Care Mild Mint Kids Toothpaste

I think it's going to be a Mild Day...

Advantages: Good tasty Mild!
Disadvantages: Availabilty!

...Mild was always classed as an old mans? drink?but, I?m not an old man (at least I wasn?t last time I looked) and I still enjoy it. It?s my dad?s fault that I tried this drink; he has a hiatius hernia and some bitters aggravate his condition. We were searching for a drink that he could have without any ill effects; Theakstons Mild has since become one of his favourites?we thought it would be polite to join him, and now it is a firm favourite. The mildness of the flavour makes it the ideal choice for him and the tastiness made it a great choice for us too! When a Mild is good it is very, very good, but when it is bad it can be horrid (sure I?ve heard this saying somewhere before)! A Nice Mild Gale.

Advantages: An unusual Mild that is stronger and tastier!
Disadvantages: I have trouble getting hold of more!

...To celebrate Mild Day on 10th May (and Mild Month in general) we all trooped off on a couple of buses on a Chesterfield Branch (of CAMRA) to sample some Mild Ales in the area. I love Mild as a style of beer (I won?t repeat all the info about the style because this can easily be found on the internet or by reading my other reviews of Milds) and have sampled one or two over the years. I would like to share another of my articles that appear in our local Innspire magazine (this can be seen in Derbyshire pubs and at http://www.innspire.org.uk/). This one goes against pretty much all of what is generally accepted as a Mild (see reviews of Batemans Mild, Cains Dark Mild etc) ~ it has a higher alcohol content, has a lot more going on in the taste department and has a good strong aroma too. Mild Drinkers Do it in the Dark!

Advantages: A tasty mild ale ~ and ours was FREE!
Disadvantages: Not easy to find in some areas of the country.

...Last Friday evening our local branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) trooped off on a social evening to Highgate Brewery. We were to have a tour of the building, a look at the brewing process and (most importantly) SOME BEER! The tour cost us the princely sum of £3.00 and for that we had a guide to show us round in groups and unlimited beer during the three hours we spent there ~ BARGAIN! They had three of their cask beers on (plus a couple of keg ones that were hideous) and we tried all of them. The best thing was that they didn?t limit what we had ~ in fact, at one point the bloke doing the tour noticed my glass was getting a little on the empty side and ran off to get me another one! A Very Precious Mild!

Advantages: A Fine, tasty and strong Mild Ale.
Disadvantages: Difficult to find!

Those of you who have read some of my other beer reviews will know that I love dark beers and that stout, porters and milds are my favourite styles of beer. Breathe Easy with Boots Mild Vapour Rub!

Review of Boots Mild Vapour Rub 3 Months Plus

avon kids mild n gentle body wash

...Trying to get my nearly 3 year old daughter into the bath can be a mission on the best of days. And believe me I've tried everything, rubber ducks, elaborate bath toys the lot. Recently however I became an Avon representative and saw the Avon kids range in the brochure. I immediately thought that these were a good idea because all of the bottles have got little faces on and look like little people (with no arms, legs, ears or noses but still look like little people somehow!). There are various different bubble baths available in this range but I went for the mild and gentle body wash as it is Strawberry scented and I liked the sound of it. Avon kids mild and gentle body wash

Advantages: it cleans
Disadvantages: hurt when it gets in your eyes

...Packaging~~~~~~~~ The bottle its self is roundish with a happy smiley face and feet on it, On the bottle is written mild and gentle body wash in three languages. It is a see through bottle so it is coloured pink cause that is what the wash is in side, it has a blue flip top lid.On the back of the bottle are the ingredients (which i wont bore you with ) a sign which says the plastic bottle can be recycled (doing your bit for the environment ) and a sign that it must be used within 12 months, if your children are like mine it may last 2 bath times with the amount they use ! ~~~~~~The Price~~~~~~~ I buy this on every new book thats out, this time i paid 1.50 for a 250 ml bottle which i think is very reasonable, it is usually 2.50 a bottle but very rarely are they on sale for full price. Advantages: A lovely example of a Mild Ale. Nice colour and lovley rich texture.
Disadvantages: Hard to find...style of beer isn't popular!

...As a fully paid up, card carrying member of CAMRA (Campaign For Real Ale) I always try to support their campaigns wherever I can. Mostly this involves drinking and talking about beer ~ it?s VERY difficult and such a HARDSHIP (not)! May is officially classed as Mild Month and Mild Day is 10th May.
