...I, like most people, joined the glut of loyalty schemes when they were launched eons ago for the sake of saying I have a loyalty card. Since then, I only really use 3 of them, the Morrisons scheme being one. The Card -------------- Easily identifiable luckily! It is in Morrison's corporate black and yellow colours with motoring related logos on the front. Quite frankly, if you have one, you will instantly recognise it is Morrisons Miles card! ...What ever you think of Morrisons quality of service since the Safeway takeover, they should be congratulated for the "Morrisons Miles" scheme. Joining the scheme is very easy - you just pick up a card from the petrol station (no forms to fill in). The concept is that 15 of the miles are awarded for every litre of fuel purchased at a Morrisons petrol station. Once 333 litres have been purchased (or 4995 miles have been "banked"), you receive a voucher for £5 to spend in the store (anywhere other than the petrol station, kiosk, drycleaners or pharmacy). The usual exclusions apply i.e. national lottery, cashback etc. Otherwise you have the run of the store. The idea is to get you into the store to start buying (hopefully to a final value much greater than the original £5!). There is the risk for Morrisons that people buy the petrol...

I looked down at the leaflet and saw that it said quite boldly: 0% INTEREST FOR 10 MONTHS, so when I would usually say "No, thankyou" I said that I would take a leaflet to read at home. APPLICATION Inside the leaflet/booklet I took home contained all the relevant information about the credit card as well as an application form. ...Card buying can be an expensive thing, especially at this time of year and as much as I love the quality of the cards in stores such as Clintons, with my large family I just cannot afford to buy all my family cards from stores such as these at Christmas. So I was pretty impressed with Card Factory opened up a store in my local town recently. For me this store offers good quality products, but at really cost effective prices. Obviously their main market is the card market. They offer cards for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, moving, sorry, thank you and general cards too. Their cards are priced at 59p for a small card, 89p for a medium card and 99p for a large card, which for me is excellent value for money.
