...Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral Breathable Foundation. I have tried only one other Maybelline Foundation product in the past: the dream matt mousse, which although was so soft on my skin didn?t really stay on for long enough or cover blemishes. I had recently seen the TV Advertisement for this new Maybelline Foundation and I wanted to give it a try as I need some new Foundation and usually go for one in the Loreal range-which is quite expensive. The TV advertisement appealed to me as the new technology used for this foundation )the minerals) sounded very illuminating and good for you skin rather than just caking on loads of foundation. My skin is combination and I do suffer from mild acne around my chin area-which I need a non-oily Foundation to use for the best. I look out for a Foundation which is natural looking with long lasting...

Maybe its Maybelline Minerals

Advantages: Not too expensive, very natural
Disadvantages: Didn't last past lunchtime

...I've been swaying towards trying mineral make-up after watching those sheer cover advertisements on Sky, (yes that's how sad my life is I'm one of those strange people who flicks over to watch the same auld stuff on the shopping channel). The sheer-cover seemed to look really well on all - young and old but was a little pricey for me especially if I didn't know how it would look on my dry skin. So I tried out a few high street brands Maybelline, Avon, and NYC (see other reviews for Avon and NYC) I bought my Maybelline mineral foundation in Tesco while an offer was on for buy two get one free so I also got the mineral blush and the mousse foundation so it cost around £5.45 for the mineral foundation. Mineral Mis-Match

Disadvantages: Overpriced, over hyped, poor colour range, poor application, nasty finish

I?d seen this product advertised on TV a few times over the past six weeks or so. Most evenings, there was Penelope during the add breaks, with her flawless, wrinkle-free complexion, telling me that I too could have a face like her with one quick and easy application. Maybe Minerals are worth a try .....

Advantages: kind to skin, brush included in pack
Disadvantages: brush rough

...I bought Maybelline Pure Mineral Foundation a few months ago when it first came out and was been advertised everywhere. It was £8.99 at boots and comes in a plastic box with a brush to apply the product in the pack. The foundation is different to other products because it is a loose powder and usually the foundation I buy is liquid or mousse, I was a bit doubious as to whether it would be as good as advertised because generally think that powders don't cover as well. The product pack size is 8g, which doesn't sound like much product when your not getting much change out of a tenner! However, this powder foundation is so fine that it actually seems to go a long way and has lasted very well. The first time I used pure mineral foundation I have to say I wasn't overly impressed, it was average but as I used it more it has grown on me...

Maybelline Mineral Foundation POWDER - A must for spot prone skin

...I have already reviewed the liquid version of this foundation, and for anyone who read that review, you know that my opinion was not very high and I found it to be a completely useless product that swiftly went in the bin after only a couple of weeks. The reason for buying this particular liquid version was simply that I had missed liquid foundation after months of using this product I am reviewing now, Maybelline Pure Foundation Mineral Powder. I had used this for a long time prior to my being unfaithful (it just happened I swear!) and have since gone back to it. I am converted to mineral make-up!

Advantages: So much kinder to skin than liquid foundations, and it blends perfectly!
Disadvantages: Buying seperately is expensive but this kit is a bargain.

If you told me over a week ago I would be saying a brand of minerals foundation is one of the best types of make-up I have ever used, I just would not have believed you, simple as that. I have tried all the usual liquid foundations from brands such as Maybelline and L'Oreal, right up to the likes of Clinique and MAC. Whilst I do rate some of those more than others, there was a certain type of make-up I didn't like, minerals powder. Admittedly I hadn't tried any 'high end' mineral make-up, only Maybelline, Rimmel & The Body Shop to be honest, but each left me with a streaky appearance that certainly didn't provide the coverage I like on my oily and blemish mad skin. True Match Minerals Because You're worth It

Advantages: Good covergae, light on your skin
Disadvantages: A bit messy

...I normally don't use L'oreal Paris make up. It is in the lower end range but yet seems to be quite expensive compared to other brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline. If I am going for a cheap brand, I will go for these. If I am looking for something a little more luxury I will go for Benefit or Mac. L'oreal Paris seems to be a brand that sits in the middle. This time though, when buying foundation, I decided to go for this brand. There has been a real buzz around mineral make-up recently. Conceal those problem areas with mineral make-up.

Advantages: Gives very good coverage, and is made from minerals.
