Brecon Carreg Still Water
Advantages: Refreshing!
Disadvantages: It's just water!
...Water water everywhere, so let's all have a drink...at a slight cost to the consumer of course. The inventor of 'bottled water' is little short of a genius in my eyes, but then again we all need to make a living, so here's a product from one of those geniuses - Brecon Carreg Still Mineral Water.
Coming from the deepest, darkest depths of the Welsh Valleys, Brecon Carreg is filtered through layers of limestone at 'Black Mountain' (that's somewhere in the Brecon Beacons for all those looking for a small geography lesson!). It's bottled at the source, as are all good brands of bottled water to help keep it's clean, fresh taste.
Being natural mineral water there's no additional ingredients to help shelf-life or taste, but instead contains quantities of all the important minerals floating around in the Welsh mountains, such as...

Water way to go.
Advantages: See text.
Disadvantages: See text.
...This review is on Volvic, but theh particular item that I am going to be writing about is their four pack of one litre bottles. And so in essence, you are in fact getting four litres (or four for theprice of one...? No, OK). But anyway, this is a review on the afore-mentioned item(s) of water.
As already pointed out, this item came in a four pack of bottles of water each at one litre in content. Every one is a sports cap (meaning you have a teat-like device at the top which makes it easier to drink from rather than always having to faff about with opening its lid on the top should you be out running like me - yeah, right!).
The bottle isi your average shaped water bottle of its size, and is a clear plastic which for those of you who are also like me and environmentally aware it can in fact actually be recycled. There is a label...

water water everywhere and none for my dog to drink
Advantages: good in times of water shortage or out on a hot day
Disadvantages: tastes like tap water
...Highland Spring - that was all they had - for 89p for 1.5litre.
The first thing I was surprised to notice was that it had a sell by date on it. This is Jan. 2010.
I thought I might as well taste it to see if I could tell any difference. We have very hard water here and it is drinkable and never had a problem with it.
On tasting I thought that it did not taste any different from our tap water.
The day after the water was on again and back to normal I thought that I woiuld have a glass of both tap and bottle water to see if I still felt the same about it.
Definately no difference at all.
My dog? Oddly he went to the tap water but perhaps that was just because it was to his front right and he is right "handed". I dont know.
Highland Spring is naturally filtered through land certified as organic by the soil association...

Ohhh ummmm refeshing WATER
Advantages: Good for you
Disadvantages: Boring!
...find Volvic water in supermarkets and probably most corner shops and newsagents too. For a 1.5 litre bottle, it's around 59p. Volvic also offer flavoured water (perfect if you're not a fan of water but still want the benefits of the minerals) for slightly more at about 99p. The only flavour I know of, however, is lemon and lime. Volvic's prices are about the same as other brands like Evian. but I think Evian and Volvic are actually made by the same company! For Sainsbury's own mineral water, it is slightly cheaper at 49p. I think their water comes from the Scottish Highlands.
So come on, get drinking!...

Volvic mineral water - better than tap water
Advantages: Very refreshing and good for you
Disadvantages: a bit on the expensive side
...Ok, I used to say to myself, why but water from the supermarket when you can get it from the tap. Why buy ready made ice cubes in bags when you can make your own? I still agree with the ice cube theory but having tried Volvic mineral water, I can finally understand why people prefer to buy the bottled water than tap water.
Firstly, I think there is a marked difference in the taste. Tap water tastes "treated", or at least it does from my tap! Volvic is refreshing and best when served ice cold.
*History*
Thousands of years ago, the Auvergne colcanoes erupted in a spectacular demonstration of their power. Apparently, in the volcanoes of the Auvergne National Park, volvic mineral water filters through layers of volcanic rock. This natural purification and the precious minerals absorbed are what give Volvic its unique...

Volvic Bottled Water.... ( from Volcanoes ! )
Advantages: De- tox your alchohol soaked kidneys.... look younger !!
Disadvantages: Pity it doesn't come through the taps.....
...Water...... water, water...... what can you say about water.........well .... quite a lot really, ..... used to laugh like a drain at the peolpe who drank the bottled stuff.
I knew a bloke once, that was a bit of a health freak..... he steamed all his food....... exercised a lot, gave up the fags, cut all the fat out of his diet, and used to wear girley shirts, .....But he still got loads of spots and caught colds as regular as the rest of us !.........he also drank Volvic bottled water. ( what a strange man he was..... ! ).But he still looked so young? , I did wonder why ?
I laughed and laughed, told him they fill the bottles up from the tap......... Bit like Dell boy and Rodney in ' only fools and horses ' with their Peckham spring water!...... Carried on drinking the rubbish out of the taps, regardless, what with all...

Water water water.
Advantages: Cheaper than othe big brands
Disadvantages: Label falls off
...Highland Spring mineral water-
This is cheaper than many other brands, first of all, like Evian, Buxton etc. Highland Spring water is from Scotland and tastes no different from any of other brands, just as pure and tastes just as watery. Highland Spring is a rather old brand as well, so you can always trust its quality.
You can just about buy it anyway water is sold, unless you aren't in england, so you can rely on not having to pay too much.
It has a nice packing and design, even though the label comes off quite easily because it's made out of paper- but I've bought a Buxton bottle of water recently and the plastic was terrible, all thin, but Highland Spring water's bottle is thick.
It is drunk by many people- it apparently won the name of 'Superbrand' because it's a leading brand.
I like the shape- it's not like Evian...

a fresh and French water from volcanoes
Advantages: good for your health
Disadvantages: heavy to carry at home!!
...I was very happy to see my favorite bottle of water in the shelves of supermarket when I arrived in England.
For me this still mineral water is a safety beverage, which help me to maintain a strong body.
I never drink tap water because I think that still mineral water is better for me.
And realy like Volvic because this water has a nice taste and is not too expensive. Indeed, you can buy a bottle of 1.5 litre per £0.59.

Eau! What a great water!
Advantages: Thirst-quenching, natural taste
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...With the warm temperatures of late, all I want is to do is keep drinking lots of ice cold water...but not just any water, I hasten to add! It has to be still mineral water, not the disgusting stuff that comes out of the tap. I normally buy bottles of mineral water from Lidl, as a pack of 6 costs a mere 99p. However, whilst out today, I stopped off at a local shop and bought a bottle of Evian.
This isn't the first time I have bought Evian mineral water, but it is not a brand I buy regularly, purely because I find it quite expensive. A single bottle (0.75 litre) will set you back around 79p and a pack of 6 x 50cl bottles costs around £2.05 from most supermarkets.
WHAT IS EVIAN?
Evian is a natural mineral water filtered from the French Alps. It is named after the village of Evian, which is situated on the banks of Lake Geneva...
