Konika-Minolta Magicolor with magical printed colours

Advantages: Vivid colours, reliable, prints beautifully
Disadvantages: Photo printing quality is only 7/10 in my rating

We decided to buy this printer because it is specially designed for optimal performance in Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, and other environments as well. This was important for us, as I use Windows but my husband is an IT professional and uses several other operation systems on his computers and sometimes also he wants to print something. He worked for a company where there were a lot of printers of this type and he had really good opinion about them. This opinion hasn?t changed since then. Hardly A cuteLaser

Advantages: Superb Colour Quality
Disadvantages: Bit big, bit noisy and a bit fiddly

...I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86. They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads. So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road. The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat. Specification ++++++++++ I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers. But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately. That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper. It uses four toner cartridges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow...

Top Notch Laser Printer for the Office

The company I work for had decided to standardise all printers to cut costs on toners and so they didn?t need to buy so many different toners. The main printer in use was the HP LaserJet 2420N but this was discontinued and superseded by the HP LaserJet P3005 printers so I decided on this one. The P3005 printers come in several flavours. There?s the P3005 (no network), P3005N (with network) and P3005DN (duplex, with parallel connection and network). All of them have a USB connection. The P3005N costs £436.98 at Dabs.com, with the DN version costing slightly more and I replaced four printers with P3005N?s across several sites. The printer has two paper trays. Konica Minolta 2550 - a step up from the entry level printer

Advantages: Quality prints, quiet
Disadvantages: A little expensive to run

...The Magicolor 2550 is positioned as one of Konica Minolta's entry level colour laser printers, well almost entry level, as it offers some very nice features without taking the price of the device too high. The specification on offer from this full colour model is a cracking 20ppm (pages per minute) in monochrome and 5ppm in full colour. The native resolution is 600dpi with a x4 dithering method which beefs this up to an effective 2,400dpi. The model on review here is the standard model, which has 128MB of memory, is network ready and offers Postscript 3 printer language in addition to PCL6 and PDF support. The 2550DN which is the next model up adds a built-in duplexer and has 256MB of memory, it also adds Pictbridge support for direct connection of a compatible digital camera. Great Little Laser Printer for the Home

Advantages: Compact, Quick, Reliable, Good quality, Cheap Compatible toner
Disadvantages: Official HP toners expensive, No cancel button

...The HP LaserJet 1020 is a simple and compact black and white laser printer from HP. It superseded the LaserJet 1010, 1012, 1018 model s but as it has been out for quite a while, has itself been superseded by the LaserJet 1022 and maybe the LaserJet P1006 models, although mine is still going strong. The printer chassis has two shades of light greys and the body is quite curvy. It is small enough to fit in a book shelf, which is where I have mine. The trays stick out when extended but I fold up the paper feed tray when not in use. It only measures 370 x 242 x 209 mm so is probably one of the most compact laser printers you can get. I originally bought mine from Amazon for £45, which was an excellent deal but this printer usually sells for £60 - £100. INSTALLATION The printer came with a CD containing the driver. Advantages: fun, fast and singlehanded

...I have been involved with Lasers since the early '80s mostly in teaching environments. They are very adaptable - having a series of different sized rigs to suit people of different sizes and ages. Being a strict one-design they are useful in coaching - the difference in performance being due to the sailor rather than other factors. Being one-design does mean that for serious racing you need to buy your spares from the manufacturer and there is no scope for tweeking outside very strict perameters. They are fun to sail, simple to rig and are suitable for improvers and above - you need to be fit and agile in higher wind strengths. The mainsheet can hook-up on the corner of the transom when tacking and (usually) gybing when you are reaching or further off the wind. The secret is to add in a roll and a flick of the sheet as the boom...

A cheap, high quality colour laser printer

Advantages: Small, excellent quality output, takes glossy paper and networkable too

...Having paid £250 for this printer, I have found it to be an outstanding quality colour laser printer for home use. To start by looking at it's size, the printer takes up much less desk space than my previous colour laser printer. It is 430 mm wide, 395 mm deep and 341 mm high. On the front of the printer is a fold down tray were you feed in the paper, which then comes out at the top. Above the paper tray is another fold down area where the toners go. In terms of print QUALITY this printer gives an excellent finish with a semi-shiny appearance. Having compared it to printers costing over twice as much (such as the OKI 5000 series) the print quality is as good, in my opinion. Konica Minolta describe the print resolution as PhotoART-9600TM resolution (600 x 600 x 4) and I have to say that it's excellent. The printer...

...This HP LaserJet is a life-sver for anyone who has lots of work and works form home or students. It has a print speed of 16 pages per minute and has a USB interface. Also, it an input tray that can hold up to 150 sheets of paper at a time. It's monthly duty cycle is 5000 pages and it comes with an 8Mb installed RAM and 266MHz processor. The printer also comes wiht a black toner cartridge. This printer is stylish so looks very appealing whilst still being able to have many features to do the job properly. I have been using this printer to print out my coursework for the last year for school and it has never ocne jammed or stopped wokring. Just incas ti does, it comes with a 1 year warranty. =]...
