Getting Your Kid Into Digital Cameras
Advantages: Features Like Any Regular Digital Camera
Disadvantages: 16 MB Internal Memory and No Zoom Capabilities
...No digital camera review on CIAO would be complete without a few entries about cameras designed for kids. After all, kids are almost universally enthusiastic about taking pictures. And parents with a love of photography often pass down their passion to their children. But digital cameras are not always kid-friendly, due to fragile construction, price, or complicated menus and buttons. The newest trend in children's electronics is a group of digital cameras made especially for small children. These cameras are easy to hold, come in bright colors that kids love, and have many of the same features as grown-up digital cameras. Kids love them.
The VTech KidiZoom Digital Camera is one of the top digital cameras for kids. This camera was made with fun in mind. Kids like the KidiZoom's large LCD screen and the onboard photo editing options...

Digital Dream
Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: see op
...An excellent little digital camera just bursting with great features. That's my opinion on my Dimage V. Now before you get all excited and want to rush out and buy one I must warn you that this is an old model. I've had it for about 3 years. However, if you were to see one of these being sold second-hand, I'd tell you to buy it quickly.
~~~~ Technical Specs ~~~~
Resolution - 640 x 480 with 24 bit colour (16 million Colours)
Features ~ 1-2x optical zoom, Macro setting, rotating lens, removable lens
Memory ~ 5V SmartMedia (2mb card supplied)
Capacity ~ Standard Jpeg compression 25-40 images per 2mb card
~ Fine Jpeg compression 10-20 images per 2mb card
That's as technical as I'm going to get, you really want to know about how good it is don't you?
~~~~ Quality ~~~~
I have had no complaints about the quality...

Minolta F300 - Digital Camera & Video
Advantages: Easy to use,Fantastic Photographs,Video Capabilty
Disadvantages: None
...of a new member of the family,this was an important Factor.This was simple to Operate,turning the Main switch to the correct marker,and clicking start.There is a limit to the amount of Video you can take,according to the Hard Drive Card Size.My Middle Range Card enabled me to take 40 Minutes of Audio Video,but i was shooting 20/30 seconds pieces of film,downloading onto the laptop and then deleting from the Camera,opening up the space again.
The Other Main use of my Camera is to take Excellent Quality Digital JPG Photography for my Ebay Site.There are 6 settings in the 'focus' range,enabling Photography of Landscapes down to the minutest detail on a stamp.This range is perfect for me,and after a little use,i found myself setting the focus,by a couple of clicks.The Camera though,is so advanced,that from a Facial Shot upto Landscape Shot...

Canon IXUS 95 IS: The best amateur digital camera on the market
Advantages: Very high quality pictures for both print and web work.
Disadvantages: The bundled software that comes with it has a very Fisherprice feel about it.
...After reading many reviews on Amazon and amateur camera sites about the different types of hobbyist level digital cameras, I decided to buy one of these.
The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual.
When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. The photos it and you produce are very high quality, as I found out the other day when I had some printed off at home.
The only downside is the bundled software...

Advanced and good value for money digital camera
Advantages: Good camera
Disadvantages: Price
...I bought this camera from marks and spencers for £279.99.
This camera is great due to all the features that it has. It has a great 12x optical zoom, which even at 9x or 10x zoom, the pictures look quite clear and well taken photos. It has a good image stabilisation feature which allows you to take photos even if the object of person is moving very fast.
Its battery life is quite good compared to most ordinary cameras which allows you to take 250 photos on average. It is a 10.1 megapixel camera which has a very high number of pixels for each picture, and I can say this is definitely so when I upload my pictures onto my laptop as the pictures are VERY clear and they still look good when zoomed in by half the size of the picture....

So glad to be back to a Canon!
Advantages: Small, tough, simple and fast to use
Disadvantages: A little expensive
...First of all let me explain that I'm actually reviewing the Canon IXY 210 IS. It's the exact same camera, but the name and model number are for the Japanese market.
Second of all let me mention that I only take photos to remember places I've been or nights out, I know nothing about photography and so will not attempt to explain anything technical. This review will compare with other cameras I have used, my experience is somewhat limited.
So, a little history. I first owned a little 2MP Sony camera, it was tiny and nice to look at and the photos weren't too bad. Later I upgraded to a lovely little Canon IXUS I, I got on with it very well and produced what I considered to be some decent photos. Then somebody stole by beloved little IXUS and I was forced to buy a new camera. What came next was some Konica Minolta dimage thing that I...

Polaroid PDC 3030 Digital Camera
Advantages: Cheap, Good specifications
Disadvantages: Not Readily Available
...I was looking for a simple, cheap digital camera for both home and business use. I'm self employed and on occasion I need to take a client's photograph to insert in a document. After much deliberating, enter the Polaroid PDC 3030 digital camera.
How Much And From Where?
++++++++++++++++++++++
I bought the camera, 64 MB smart card and a leather carrying case for £99.97 from Argos where the camera alone is £79.99. All in all this deal saved me £20. I searched the internet today and couldn't find this model at any other suppliers.
So What Did I Get For My Money?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
The whole package was delivered as part of a big order I'd placed, and the camera, case and smart card came packaged as one item. It was all sealed in a tamper proof, grey polythene bag. When opened the three items were packaged by...

My First Digital Camera - A Gushy Tribute
Advantages: Bargain buy and provides high quality pictures
Disadvantages: Bit on the bulky side
...Okay,
I was walking down the main shopping street in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I passed a high-street electrical goods retailer. And there, in the window, I saw her!!!
She was blown up in a large promotional poster, and allI could do was stare at her figure(s)! Reduced from 250 pounds to 129 pounds! 4 million pixels! Zoom! Flash! 60 second video recorder!
I had to have her there and then! Luckily I had the money in my account as I had just received a nice little tax rebate (ha ha ha ha). What better way to spend free money than on my first digital camera.
In the store, I was met by an extremely friendly and helpful clerk who showed me the camera. He was confident in the product as he didn't give me any instructions - only that the camera was very easy to use. My girlfriend has had a digital camera for quite a while, so some...

Canon DCC-80 Digital Camera Case
Advantages: Extra compartments for accesories
Disadvantages: Not as padded as other cases
...These days, most people own digital cameras. But not everyone owns a decent case to protect it from the knocks and bumps of everyday life.
When my friend bought bought her new digital camera (a Canon Powershot A640) a case wasn't supplied, so we embarked on a mission to find a case which could keep her new bundle of joy safe. Although we found cheap cases in high street shops, none of them seemed to fit the camera as well as they should. Although we tried to find the correct case for the camera, we couldnt seem to find one anywhere. She then gave up. So, seeing as it was her birthday the following week, i decided to head home and look on the internet and get her one as an extra pressie. Within minutes of searching, i had bagged this little baby. Adbvertised at suitable for housing all cameras in the Powershot A Series (A710, A640, A...

Minolta Dimage 7i 5 Megapixel Digital Camera
Advantages: Feels Good, Looks Good, Fantatic Pictures
Disadvantages: No Battery Pack - uses AA batteries
...Hi,
I have owned this camera for about 2 years now, what Can I say, impressive.
BUILD QUALITY
Excellent build - feels robust, feels solid, feels reliable (which it is)
LENS
The lens is a 7x Optical 28 - 200mm lens. With the manual control of the zoom you dont get the annoying jerkiness of the motor controlled zooms of lesser cameras.
Detail is excellent, no fringing, or other artefacts, no purple edges on dark/light areas, no pin-cushionng at any zoom range.
FEATURES
With macro mode at both lelephoto and wide angle you can get right in on the detail.
Excellent fast autofocus - even in dull conditions
Manual focus for perfet results - and point focus for a specific area of the photo.
Many manual controls - white balance, PASM programme mode, apeture mode, shutter speed mode or manual mode make this very...
