SUPER LENSES!!!

Advantages: Clear vision, stablity, allows more oxygen to eyes
Disadvantages: Price

...I am so glad i found these lenses!!. I have tried at least five different toric lenses, these are by far the best. The vision is much clearer than any of the other lenses i tried and they hardly rotate compared to others. I would definetly advice to try these lenses, trial them for free from your opticians. When i first tried these lenses they felt weird on my eyes and a bit uncomfortable as they are a bit thicker than other lenses but after a couple of days my eyes adjusted to them and now i am over the moon that i have finally found a pair of lenses that i can see clearly out of and do not need to wear glasses in the daytime anymore ( i wear glasses only when i take the lenses out usually evening time) They are a bit costly but they allow more oxygen to the eyes compared to others....

Night and Day lenses

Advantages: Confidence boost
Disadvantages: NA

...These lenses have been designed to allow the continuios wear during the daytime and the night time for up to 30 days. With normal day to day contact lenses you are not suppose to keep them in during the evening time as there is not enough oxygen that would be getting transmitted to the eye. As a result of these contact lenses which are made from Lotrafilcon A, they are up to 6 times more oxygen that can be transmitted to the eye whilst wearing theses lenses, the wearing of these lenses will vary for individual patitents but can only be warn if perscribed to by the opticians and follow their instructions correctly. every month air optix night and day lenses are designed to be replaced. you get 3 pairs of lenses per box and they are not very expensive but depending on how you find the lenses is whether they were worth the money or not...

Lion of a camera in sheep's clothing

Advantages: FAST autofocus, sharp pictures, great value for the price!
Disadvantages: None at this level

...The Dynax 5 is Minolta's serious amateur's camera and frankly, it wipes the floor with equivalently priced models by any other manufacturer. Choc-full of features and well worth the money at a more than reasonable £250.00 (as of March 2003). Features in detail: LENS You can buy the Dynax 5 on its own with no lens, or with a 28-80mm (D) zoom lens (I'll explain the 'D' bit later). Some other combinations exist, but these are down to individual companies. The 28-80mm gives decent coverage, from landscapes to portraits, and is a good lens with which to start. If your photographic interests take you into a specific area of photography e.g. close-up work, professional portraiture, landscape photography etc, you might consider buying more specialised lenses which give better results than the basic 28-80. The Dynax 5 accepts any...

Minolta F300 - Digital Camera & Video

Advantages: Easy to use,Fantastic Photographs,Video Capabilty
Disadvantages: None

...own doing i may add,was that whilst the lead was connected from the Camera to my Laptop, the Camera was knocked to the floor and damaged the Camera part that accepts the Lead.We were going on oliday in 4 days and was desperate to get the Camera repaired. After some enquiries,i found that Minolta has a repair Service Centre in Milton Keynes. You can send the camera to them at your expense but as the situation was urgent i took the 45 minute drive to the Service Centre. The Staff were very friendly, but told me there was a 2 week wait for the repair.I explained my situation and they were happy to twist the rules for me,and i was able to pick up the Phone on our way up to Scotland for our Holiday.Included in the Flat Repair price of £113,the outer casing which had taken the brunt of the fall was also replaced and the Camera was given a 'Service...

Focus Monthly Contact Lenses

Advantages: Value for money if used wisely
Disadvantages: If not rinsed well or left in too long can cause discomfort

...Being a short-sighted Myopia sufferer contact lenses seemed like an obvious alternative to spectacles what with constantly losing or breaking them. Contact lenses eradicated this problem! Focus monthly's were the first brand of lenses I ever tried?not too expensive so as a student I could comfortably afford them. I must admit these lenses were quite comfortable?at first but due to the necessity of having to re-use and re-use them they had a tendency to fray round the edges, dry out and slightly deteriorate. If they hadn't been sterilised properly overnight and stored in the correct solution this felt on occasions like putting grit into your eye the following morning. Focus monthly's are a product of Ciba Vision and retail at most opticians for about ten pounds a month (can be purchased in three month batches if more appropriate...

Getting Your Kid Into Digital Cameras

Advantages: Features Like Any Regular Digital Camera
Disadvantages: 16 MB Internal Memory and No Zoom Capabilities

...No digital camera review on CIAO would be complete without a few entries about cameras designed for kids. After all, kids are almost universally enthusiastic about taking pictures. And parents with a love of photography often pass down their passion to their children. But digital cameras are not always kid-friendly, due to fragile construction, price, or complicated menus and buttons. The newest trend in children's electronics is a group of digital cameras made especially for small children. These cameras are easy to hold, come in bright colors that kids love, and have many of the same features as grown-up digital cameras. Kids love them. The VTech KidiZoom Digital Camera is one of the top digital cameras for kids. This camera was made with fun in mind. Kids like the KidiZoom's large LCD screen and the onboard photo editing options...

comfortable lenses with minimum fuss

Advantages: No need to take them out to clean or worry about leaving in too long
Disadvantages: expensive, more aftercare needed

...I have worn normal monthly disposable contact lenses before but got sick of having to take them out and clean them every night. Also with most you're really only supposed to wear them for 5days a week and upto about 12hours a day which means swapping between contacts and glasses which has always made me feel dizzy as my eyes have to adjust to focusing differently. Eventually I gave up and went back to glasses but with a prescription of -7.25, the lenses are quite thick even when I get the thinner and lighter ones. I read about the new contact lenses that could be worn continuously for 30days and thought they sounded just what I needed. I was (and still am) a little bit worried about the increased risk of infections with these types of lenses but providing you get regular checks and take out the lenses if they start to become...

Minolta Dimage 7(Superb Camera)

Advantages: Excellant quality pics, lots of functions, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Batteries last about 20 mins if your lucky,Power pack was 50 pounds from jessups.

...When i bought my minolta dimage 7 camera it was about 800 pounds and to be honest it is not really worth 800 pounds, its a nice looking camera with lots of different functions but theres so many cameras on the market today its hard to differenciate one digital camera from another.I think the price has come down to about 600 pounds now.try Dealtime.co.uk and search away. Pros You can take pictures of about 5 different sizes without losing the excellant quality, theres also different quality settings,im not a professional photographer but the only reason that i would take a lower quality picture is if i were taking pictures to use on the pc or internet, for printing i would take at best quality.Theres different settings for different types of weather ,if it is cloudy or sunny, indoor or outdoor. You can use this camera as a fully automatic...

Konika-Minolta Magicolor with magical printed colours

Advantages: Vivid colours, reliable, prints beautifully
Disadvantages: Photo printing quality is only 7/10 in my rating

...We bought our Konika Minolta Magicolor 2350 laser printer four years ago. We use it at home but I print quite frequently. We decided to buy this printer because it is specially designed for optimal performance in Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, and other environments as well. This was important for us, as I use Windows but my husband is an IT professional and uses several other operation systems on his computers and sometimes also he wants to print something. He worked for a company where there were a lot of printers of this type and he had really good opinion about them. This opinion hasn?t changed since then. Price of the printer and cartridges When we bought it, it was on offer, so it was ?only? £650. It was a serious discount because its full price is £900. There are four cartridges in it plus the drum cartridge, we had to change...

Great quality contact lenses

Advantages: Very comfortable and easy to use
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest on the market

...I've been wearing contact lenses for about 7 years. I was nervous at first, especially as there are eye problems in my family. I didn't want to do anything that might be detrimental to my eyesight or cause problems down the line. Also my job at the time meant that I was out of the house for 12 hours at a time, I wanted lenses I could leave in for this length of time without worrying that my eyes would dry. For these reason I didn't go for the cheapest option but instead took advice from my optician and chose Acuvue Advance. These lenses are licensed for continuous wear, so in theory they could be left in the eye for the full 2 weeks before needing to be changed. My optician explained that this is because they allow a lot of oxygen to the back of the eye, so the lense does not need to be removed to allow the eye to 'breath'. However...
