Advantages: Can be used with more than one child to save extra money , 100 % cotton Disadvantages: Quite costly
...wash in boiling water? Nope, they just go in the washing machine - Great!
I tried all the different nappies and one stood out, Bambino Mio, it was easy to use, the design was nice and it looked to be the most comfortable for my baby, it wasn't bulky either, so I went out and purchased a few more wraps and nappies and claimed back £30 of my spend.
Bambino Mio nappies are made up of 3 separate parts...
Mio Nappy - this is a cotton towel like pad. The pad is made up of layers of cotton so it absorbs well, the middle of the pad is a bit thicker than the rest. Bambino Mio say it can be folded in different ways to suit the baby's shape and size, however I have always just folded it into 3, when you buy nappies you get a little folding booklet which shows 3 different folds, the basic fold where you fold into 3, the extra absorbency fold...

Review of Bambino Mio Reusable
Advantages: Light and easy to use Disadvantages: Can give duff results if on low battery
...Mio Technology has introduced two new satnav systems. The Mio268 is the first purpose-built, genuinely portable satnav with a sub-£300 UK rrp. The Mio269 comes pre-installed with European maps at £399. Whether driving to a meeting, mountain biking, walking in a city the Mio268 can destress planning and navigation.
With pre-set modes for car, motorbike, bicycle and foot, they are specifically designed for every need. Want to get from A to B by car with the minimum of fuss? Urgently need a petrol station? Need to find a country pub to break your cycle ride for lunch? You'll find everything within easy reach. There's also an MP3 player for when you aren't on the move.
Both are portable, so they don't make your vehicle a beacon for thieves. Instead they can be easily carried in your pocket.
Selecting destinations is easy, using...

Review of MIO 268
Advantages: Accurate, Good Value for money, uses SD cards Disadvantages: Poor battery life
...When purchasing the Mio P550 I was after a navgation system that could easily be put in my car then arriving at my destination easily fitting in my pocket for security.
The Mio P550 is a nice shape and size meaning it does fit nicely in your pocket unlike most brick shaped GPS systems you tend to find.
What is even better is its also a PDA, so not just will it tell you where to go, it will be your personal organiser, your mp3 player, your mobile internet. So many great features on one small device!
The MioMap software that it comes with isnt the easiest to use at first, some of the features are hard to get to. However it does its job really well once you learn how to use it - please note that when putting in postcodes it just uses the first 4 characters. If you choose to however you could purchase TomTom software and easily install...

Review of Mio P550
Advantages: Cost saving, environmentally sound, natural product next to bots! Disadvantages: Mio soft cover
...I started using Bambino mio with my first child and now have a baby; both are in Bambino mios'. I originally looked around at great length prior to the birth and found the bambino mio range to be the best. I liked the mio soft cover as it is cotton like on the outside and waterproof on the inside. It also had some nice patterns on it!
The cotton prefolds themselves are not different to many on the market; rectangular in shape they fold into multiple layers and with a biodegradable paper liner that flushes down the loo that wraps around to collect solids. The difference is the waterproof covers that go around the prefolds.
There are three different covers and I have tried all three, this is been a bit of a road to discovery with my first born. The cover that is with the birth to potty pack and seemingly the most popular is...

Review of Bambino Mio Reusable
Advantages: eco-friendly, economical, no nappy rash Disadvantages: you need to keep on top of the laundry!
...We have used these nappies for over a year now for our third child after using disposables for the first two. I went for Bambino Mio because a) I felt very strongly that I wanted to be eco-friendly this time b) They had good consumer reviews- and I did a lot of research and c) I lived near a local stockist at the time, making it easy to get supplies and sample packs.
Basically, you have an outer nappy shell with velcro fastenings which looks a bit like a disposable. It has a waterproof inner and a cotton outer. You can wipe down the waterproof inner and reuse this part.
Then there is a rectangular cotton nappy that is several layers thick. You fold this and wrap a liner around it and place it in the shell. Don't be put off by the folding- it is literally two folds, nothing like the old Terry nappies. There are two different ways to...
Advantages: Cheaper Long term, No Nappy Rash Disadvantages: Big Bottoms!!!
...size nappies as each size fits two covers sizes eg. Size 1 fits Newborn & Small, Size 2 fits Medium & Large etc.
The covers come in various designs. I purchased White, Animals and Spots. I believe there are also Frogs, Space and maybe others.
You can also buy from Bambino Mio training pants and swim nappies if you wish.
*****How Many?
It really depends on how often you wish to wash them. I typically washed them every 3 days and had 12 nappies and 4 covers per size and this was adequate.
*****How do they perform?
They are brilliant!! I only had wet clothes on baby once and that was when I forgot to change him for over 6?!? (honestly he was so happy I just forgot!!). During the early days when I was breastfeeding and 'poos' were particularly runny, the poo did leak on the cover a few times but never on to the clothes...
Advantages: Easy to use, all in one, compact, gets you to where you want to go Disadvantages: Virtually no accessories available yet, doesn't perform a full post code search
...I am always getting lost, even with a map, or detailed Autoroute directions. So I parted with £299 and ordered a new Mio 268 from GlobalPositioningSystems.co.uk.
The order was placed at 16:30 and was dispatched at 17:03. That's a quick turnaround, plus their SMS order tracking meant I was informed of the dispatch immediately. It arrived promptly.
The package contained the Mio 268 unit, which is like a chunky custom PDA turned on its side with a built in GPS aerial (SiRF Star II with Xtrack), a in-built stylus for operating the touch screen, a 256Mb SD memory card with UK and Ireland maps pre-loaded, an external GPS arial, a CD with a backup map, a CD with software for transferring files from your PC to the Mio, a USB cable, a mains charger, a car charger, a windscreen/dashboard mount, and instruction leaflets.
To get it up...

Review of MIO 268
Advantages: Compact but clear mapping, pedestrian mode is useful feature. Disadvantages: Poor customer services
...The Mio Digiwalker C510 is a neat piece of kit, and fits easily into your pocket. Although it can be slow finding the satellites, if you have moved location since switching off, it has very clear mapping and is easy to use. On motorways it is a little late telling you when to leave, so ideal for BMW drivers :-) Works well when cycling, but in the pedestrian mode it can become confused with which way you are going. That being said, I have saved a small fortune in taxi fares when abroad.
Overall I would rate highly, but mine went wrong and their customer services/repair centre is rubbish, so if you do want to buy one, then don't buy from the internet (go to a real shop where you can go in and shout at them)....

Review of Mio C510E
Advantages: low price, compact design, easy to operate, 24 european country maps on cd Disadvantages: windscreen mount can vibrate at high speeds
...Ive owned my Mio C510 E for about six months now and i am very pleased with it, its become a must have for any long car journey, or just to find a shop, address or place of interest in a area im not familiar with.
The unit is very compact and has a nice solid feel to, its easy to set up and operate, most of its functions are accessed through its touch screen that has nice sized buttons that will accomodate the fattest of fingers.
The software supplied with the unit is easily installed and allows you access to MIOs website where upgrades and updates to the maps and speed camera warning system are regularly available and automatically update your unit via the supplied usb cable.
The unit aquires a satalite signel in quite a short space of time after being turned on and can even pick up a signel...
