...I read this book , Miss You Forever, in a day, why? Simply because I wanted to know what happened to the characters that made this page turner such a great read. The book starts with the heroine Kathleen being taunted by thugs because she looks like a vagabond, but there's so much more to Kathleen and the life she has led up to this point. After being followed to a "coal-hole" where she decides to sleep for the night, Kathleen is beaten by the same thugs and is left for dead, but found by a kind-hearted nurse, called Rosie. Rosie is entrusted with the only thing of value to Kathleen, her diaries. It is through Rosie reading the diaries, whilst caring for Kathleen in hospital that we learn of Kathleen's family history and life.The diaries we go on a turbulent journey filled with fear, heartache, tenderness, loss and of course...

Are you "MIssing" something?

Advantages: A non-conventional thriller, pacy, compelling
Disadvantages: Some small minor inaccuracies

.... Running parallel with this story is another that tells the story of how Sybilla came to be living on the streets. The chapters alternate and eventually meet up near the book's climax. It is a particularly satisfying method of storytelling for a thriller because it really gets a grip on the reader and you have to plough on because the fast pace and the dramatic endings to the chapters are so compelling. Quite often I get annoyed by this technique in novels but here it is entirely appropriate because it really adds to the character development of Sybilla. What I especially liked about "Missing" was that it seems to be something of a reversal of the conventional thriller in that the chief protagonist inadvertently finds herself mixed up in a crime and that there is almost no police involvement. ...", "Pulse" and so on. Movie turns out to be boring with only some unexpected scene. You just have the feeling to have seen it before . Actors don't "shine" at all and aren't famous. Dialogues aren't significant and the conclusion doesn't make sense. It makes us think it's incomplete and lets us some question without answer. Smell: A fruity and fresh scent with lavender, jasmine leaves and raspberry makes this perume truely delicious and ideal for summer. Beautiful Miss Dior Cherie

...Absoultely lovely scent. Actually, it's deeper than just a 'scent' it is indeed a perfume, in that it smells gorgeous when you put it on, and it leaves you smelling beautiful all day. It feels really light, but not weak or cheap. Initially it smells a bit sharp, but it settles very quickly. It feels quite classy! When I wear this perfume it certainly turns heads, but mostly of other girls or women should I say, coming up to me and asking what it is. It is quite a sweet smell, compared to most perfumes. Very different. It can be difficult to track down this perfume, and it can be pricey, but consider it a very special treat, that once a year over indulgence! Keep an eye out over Christmas or Valentines Day for those special deals where you get a bonus gift pack or something. Go on, spoil yourself!...

...The Missing Scarecrow is a lovely little book which accompanies the children's television show, Balamory. The front cover of the book is green and has a picture of Edie and a scarecrow with the name Balamory in bright colourful bubble lettering above this and the title of the book is white lettering below. At the top of the cover there is a picture showing some of the house is Balamory. ...I recently signed up to one of these sites where you can get DVD's sent to you in the post. Perfect as now I don't even need to leave the home to get new DVD's to watch! This time I got send Miss Potter. I had put this on my list as I was a fan of her books as a child. My sister had the whole little box set and I loved the stories. She also lived in later life in Windermere in the Lake District, which I have spent some time at as a child as my family lives very near the Lake District. This provided some more interest for me. The film was released in 2006 and has been available on DVD for a while now. The story of Miss Potter is based around Beatrix Potter herself who is played by Renee Zellweger.
