I suggest looking in What Hi-Fi for prices, but I have seen them for as little as £79.99!! Choose your amplifier very carefully, as some amps I listened to with these speakers gave some disappointing results. For instance the Technics amp as good as it is in its own right sounded very flat. Listen to the speakers on a low volume for a period of time i.e. - 4 weeks or more. Mission 702e

Advantages: Outstanding Value, good looks, would fit into many rooms well, easy to drive
Disadvantages: Some have problems with unglueing of baffles

...have heard some say that they have had problems with a rattly baffle. After a month I had this problem, but I sent them back to mission and they had them fixed in 3 days - I was impressed with the speed of the service. Now I have no more rattles - - - "Follow up", Spoken to Mission who say the rattly baffle problem is due to the water based glue they used in an attempt to be more environmentally friendly. If they must be fixed, they use 'proper' glue. - - - Overall, these speakers produce a very strong sound, and when positioned correctly, bass is smoooth, there is ounces of transparency, and alot of detail. Nothing beats them for the price, my graphical equiliser has been made redundant....

Wall-E is on a mission to save the world!

Advantages: Great animation & story

Still A great pair of speakers

Released back in 1999, these floorstanders are the Mission 702e's carrying on the great series of the Mission 700's including standmounters 700 and 701. These speakers were given a five star rating by what-hifi sound and vision and have been very popular since they were released. The overall sound of these floorstanders is very good indeed. Bass performance is the most impressive thing about these speakers. You get a huge amount of solid taut bass here. The bass never sounds unruly or out of place. Mission 750 LE Bookshelf Speaker

Advantages: Its Mission quality
Disadvantages: Not much Speaker for the money you have to pay

...To celebrate their 25th anniversary Mission launched the 750 Limited Edition bookshelf speakers. Only 7000 pairs of this little gorgeous sculpture are being made, and then it's over. The 750 is an entirely new speaker, based on no older Missions. It comes as a tiny but weighty 2-way model, clad in lush real rosewood or black ash veneer, and looking not unlike a Sonus Faber Extrema (after all this is an Italian magazine, so I have to honour my host, comprende?). The driver compliment is made up of a 13cm Aerogel woofer, and a silk dome tweeter (as in the other Mission 75-series speakers). The bi-wiring binding posts are heavily gold-plated, and there is a reflex port at the back, which precludes use close to a wall. Sensitivity is 86dB/W@1m, and the nominal impedance is 6 Ohms, not hard to drive. The 750s look very attractive...

No music mission too hard

Advantages: Brilliant, bassy beasts for those on a budget

...These Mission 702e's of mine really can handle everything I seem to through at them. I was really surprised by little they cost in comparison to the amazing performance. When I bought them they where £180 but I expect they have gone done in price now, lucky you if you buy a pair. The 702e's come in both black and beech and have a small tweeter placed centrally below an 18 cm sub. The sub looks really funky with its white cone and black centre and overall the style of mission's would suit any room. As far as I can hear they seem to sound best in a medium size room (around 6m by 6m) as they produce good but not too boomy bass. After some testing I have sat mine about half a metre away from any walls so that they can breathe without being exposed. With the right songs the mission's can give absolutely amazing performances. Magnificient Monster Mission

Advantages: Super stroyline
Disadvantages: Maybe a little scary for some children

...Monster Mission is a fantastic book for children and even young adults. It is a fantasy style story written by Eva Ibbotson and was first published in 1999. The story is 230 pages in length but is split into manageable chapters making it easy to digest and read in small chunks.
