...To celebrate their 25th anniversary Mission launched the 750 Limited Edition bookshelf speakers. Only 7000 pairs of this little gorgeous sculpture are being made, and then it's over. The 750 is an entirely new speaker, based on no older Missions. It comes as a tiny but weighty 2-way model, clad in lush real rosewood or black ash veneer, and looking not unlike a Sonus Faber Extrema (after all this is an Italian magazine, so I have to honour my host, comprende?). The driver compliment is made up of a 13cm Aerogel woofer, and a silk dome tweeter (as in the other Mission 75-series speakers). The bi-wiring binding posts are heavily gold-plated, and there is a reflex port at the back, which precludes use close to a wall. Sensitivity is 86dB/W@1m, and the nominal impedance is 6 Ohms, not hard to drive. The 750s look very attractive...

Magnificient Monster Mission

Advantages: Super stroyline
Disadvantages: Maybe a little scary for some children

...Monster Mission is a fantastic book for children and even young adults. It is a fantasy style story written by Eva Ibbotson and was first published in 1999. The story is 230 pages in length but is split into manageable chapters making it easy to digest and read in small chunks. I think however that most people will find like I did that the book is quite intriguing once you begin and that it is difficult to pull yourself away from it. Monster Mission tells the story of on Secret Island upon which three aunts are plotting to kidnap three children. The Aunts however are not kidnapping the children for any evil purpose, oh no the Aunts are kidnapping the children simply because the island needs them. MISSION IMPROBABLE

Advantages: Good action, Tom Cruise is good
Disadvantages: Weak story and some poor cast

Do not watch a horror movie using these speakers

The system comprises a centre speaker, 4 satellite speakers (front left & right and surround left & right) and an active subwoofer. Mission managed to keep the speakers very small (HxWxD = 31x13x4.5cm!)given the fact that a new technology is used (NXT, see www.nxt.co.uk). With this technology you do not need cones of various sizes to reproduce sounds of various wavelengths. Advantages: Bags of scope to personalise your mechs, good storyline

Cruising on a Mission with Tom

Advantages: Great directing, great action stunts, good story, great acting.

Mission Enjoyable

Advantages: Intricate plot, excellent acting, appropriate action sequences

...As I have said, Mission: Impossible 2 was a poor film, and as I mentioned in that opinion, its predecessor is far better. I thought I might elaborate upon that. Just for a bit of background, M:I began as a series in the sixties where the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) were sent on many...erm...Impossible Missions. Of course, they weren't impossible as they nearly always managed to complete the mission. The team was lead by Jim Phelps (played superbly by Peter Graves), and the team consisted of many different operatives (some of the more notable ones being played by Martin Landau and Leonard Nimoy). The missions often involved elaborate stunts - at least for the time - which often had to be taken with a pinch of salt here and there. Another Impossible Mission?

Advantages: Good action sequences
Disadvantages: A bit predictable

...about this film that lets it down is that there are no surprises. You kind of know what you're getting from the title, and you know early on from the story itself how its all going to turn out. But it is the third in the series, so perhaps a bit of predictability isn't the worst thing that could happen to it. All in all, this is the best of the Mission Impossible films, proving that a sequel can be every bit as good as the original, and sometimes better than the films that predecess it. If they keep making the Missions like this, then I'll be happy to keep going to the cinema to see them. Having purchased only the single disc edition of the film, I couldn't possibly comment on the quality of the 2 disc format.
