Mitre Malmo Training Football Review

Advantages: Very cheap, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Heavier and not as well made as some of the newer balls.

...The version of this ball that I have is the Orange Malmo, Size 5, so opinions are based on this ball, I cannot vouch for any of the other sizes/colours. I bought it from Newitts for about £5.50 inc P & P. The ball seems fairly durable, though the stitching is more exposed than on a lot of the more expensive new footballs, so I would guess that after a while of playing in the wet the stitching would become weak, though have not subjected it to water to prove this. If looked after well I cannot see a reason why this ball couldn't last for quite a few years. The ball feels fairly heavy compared with some of the new Nike and Adidas balls, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing; it depends on your preferences. Outstanding, an absolute must, Mitre Revolve Footballs

...I'll get stuck in, I have honestly NEVER played with a ball anywhere near as good as this. I was lucky enough to be given one of the balls used in a recent Burton Albion game by a friend of mine who was one of the match officials. They are outstanding. The ball is light, but still allows you to maintain direction without it seeming to float away from your intended target. I must admit, I don't think that they look particularly good, I myslef am a fan of the Mitre V's that have been on their range of footballs since 19forever. But this does not matter a single bit, as when you come to play with the ball you don't need to admise the design, you simply 'feel' it. They are however unfortunately not particularly durable. Granted they are not supposed to be used on concrete, but the slightest usee can tear the synthetic coating...

Advantages: GOOD SOLID BALL - STAYS IN THE AIR - BOUNCES WELL - TRUSTWORTHY BRAND
Disadvantages: TAKES A WHILE TO PUMP UP - WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO USE BARE FOOT

...want to do with a football. It is a very durable ball as I think we had about 15 balls in total in training and they used to get bashed against railings, plucked out of hedges, ran over the odd few times and still be able to use them for training. Mitre is a great brand and have produced some great footballs over the years with hardly any competition until the past few years when Adidas, Reebok, Nike and other well known brands have been manufacturing footballs used in competitions like the Premiership, La Liga & The Champions League. I'm not really sure what else I can write about as its a football - you kick it so you get the jist of how it works ha! My sleepless night in the mitre

Advantages: Close to the center of manchester.
Disadvantages: Noisy old building too close to the pubs.

For a life that's brighter, hit The Mitre.

Advantages: Friendly, close to the river Cam, good food.
Disadvantages: No air conditioning.

As one of the oldest pubs still standing in Cambridge, it has a long history of owners and functions (including a brewery and a pool hall!). But in more recent times, it's just been The Mitre: a typical English pub. So it's no surprise that the locals worried when the place was given a facelift in 2001. There was talk that it had become a supposedly "trendy bar". But it's not. The walls may be lighter, but the dark wood furnishings and grand black fireplace still exist. Mitre or mitre not

Advantages: extensive protection to shins and ankles
Disadvantages: last seasons style, baulky and hardly a fashion statement.

...The good points about these shinpads are that with mitre you have peace of mind over the quality and durability, at a premium. These shinpads have ankle protectors which will help to protect your ankles from serious impact injuries, they will not however prevent twisted ankles etc. The good thing about them is that they are now relatively cheap and do provide you with good protection around £8 online. However now to the bad side they only have a very simple design and are nothing flash, they weigh a relatively large amount compared to more modern counterparts around 0.4kg in size large. Where their addidas equivalents weigh just 0.26kg and believe it or not these slight variations can be the edge you need to get to the ball. Especially for the slower runner for whom i would advise to buy the lightest boots and shinpads. A good pair...

Ideal match ball

It is a requirement of each team to have two high quality matchballs ready for use before each match. The balls that we use are of the 'Mitre Max' variety and I have no complaints about them. The Mitre Max is a FIFA approved football, infact one of the most popular FIFA approved footballs on the market. It is made from high quality PU leather and features a 26 panel design. We bought ours online for around £20 each so they are of mid-range price wise but offer top performance. You can purchase the mitre max in either a size 4 or 5 and can use them on both natural (grass) and artificial (astroturf) surfaces. ...I recently recieved this ball for my birthday about a year ago and I must say it is pretty much as good now as it was when I first got it. I mean I knew mitre made some quality balls but I had never really owned a quality one like this. I have used this ball on pretty much all surfaces - from astro turf to indoor to normal grass and it seems to fair just as well in all of them. The outer part of the ball is extremely tough and a few misplaced shots into nearby bushes seem to have had no effect. I have even picked thorns out of it but the tough exterior has prevented these having any effect on the ball. It is also pretty low maintenance in terms of how often you actually have to pump it up anyway. The ball is a fairly top of the market one, costing around £40 in most shops now.
