...Being a seventeen year old student with a new licence, I thought that I'd have to buy a peugeot 106 1.1, a corsa, a punto, a saxo or another inconspicuous european hatchback like everybody else. This car changed my mind. Looking at the insurance group tables on parkers.co.uk, I noticed that this Mitsubishi (that I had never heard of) had a 1.3 liter 12 valve 75BHP engine, but was in the same insurance group as most popular 1.0-1.2 liter hatches. I was compelled to find some pictures and specs for this car, expecting it to be a dissapointment. The looks did'nt dissappoint; The colt looked modern and fresh from every angle, despite being a six-year-old car, as well as having a low, sporty stance. ...A huge leap forward from its predecessor in every respect, the 'new' shape Colt is a fine vehicle for those looking to find a Honda Jazz-type car without the associated cost. Probably £2-3000 cheaper than a Jazz at the same age due to its poor depreciation performance, you still get most of the advantages of the Honda (apart from the brilliant CVT). The seating isn't so clever but you can still remove the rear seats for a useful load bay. Otherwise the boot is tiny, though it has a small underfloor 'secret' cubby hole and an electric socket to make up. I personally prefer the Colt's looks to the Jazz, it appears wider and more purposeful, with a modern shape that won't age too quickly (hopefully). Its proportions are elegant to my eye but it has to be said that the A-pillar obscures vision quite severely, something to be aware... Read review

...Mitsubishis new Colt has come in leaps and bounds. I myself am a member of the UKs Mitsubishi Colt Owners Club. I speak to many people who own the CZT and this review is a mix of personal experience as well as other people's findings. The 3-door in my opinion is a lot better than the 5-door. The back really sets it off as this is completely redesigned. The only common parts are the front lights and bonnet, it all ends there. As of yet I have seen my own CZ and one other on the roads of the UK. Still new and rare. I will let you know in advance this review does go into depth in certain areas. Bear with it, and I will try and explain certain things, which not everyone will know! ...A very light original small hot hatch design but with the bonus of 5 doors & fold flat seats giving good load space. Something for other manufacturers to aspire to or revisit as most seem to have lost the plot with kerbweight & practicality. Grip is great. Power delivery is well controlled with a good burst from turbo when required. Mitsubishi Colt engine should last well. The brakes are truly neck snappingly phenomenal. Trim level & quality good. Great seats, very comfortable for long journeys & definately no more noisy than the competition. Suspension a little hard if you live in speed hump city. Glass roof is well it's a glass roof! Salesman sung the roof's praises, we didn't realise how nice it was until we lived with it & I now know why people pay £900 to get it on an Audi A3. ...was very happy to sell me an old Cerato hatch. This is of course is in the days before Renault's Scenic and the compact MPV market had really sprung into life, but my mother's old Mitsubishi Space Runner was the key to choosing another Mitsubishi in the market since in the event that if the g/f decided to go on long hauls or needed a bigger car, then we would definitely be looking for a larger car, economical and comfortable as well as offering a good boot area. My mum's Runner model (based on the larger Space Wagon MPV) had suited her well for five years and had not failed her once (she now has the latest Colt hatchback) so the Mitsubishi brand was definitely a inspiration to brand choices. And so we were offered few Carisma models on the forecourt. Most of the models were of the last 2003 model year which still had the original model... Read review

Advantages: Good looking, great features, surprisingly powerful
Disadvantages: Underestimated compared to similar sized cars

.... The car is quick enough to get you out of tight spots if required, and is a very comfortable and smooth ride. I've always found it to be a very secure car. Although, you might want to bear in mind if you buy one that the rear windscreen is not brick proof, and there are no in-built lasers or tiny robots to stop thieves stealing your golf clubs. I may take these points up with Proton. One downside I have found is that trying to get Proton parts can be on the expensive side, as they are not as easily accessible as Vauxhall or Ford parts for example. However, one benefit is that the car is very, very similar to the Mitsubishi Colt, and so some of the parts from that car can be used for a Proton at a reduced cost if required. On the whole, I would recommend this car to anyone wanting a reliable car which is both smooth and sporty... Read review

...So - we got our Space Star when it had just had the "colt" prefix dropped from it's name. We bought in December 2000 - a nice little metallic green 1.3GLX from our local main dealer (Marshalls in Cambridge). We paid a fair price and haggled and got a good deal. At the time there were no special offers - but it didn't matter as they had the car in stock and were keen to mee their monthly target. Anyway, we p/ex'ed our old fiat and away we went. Plenty of space inside for us and the dog (at the time it was only one) - and even space with 2 dogs and a toddler now - it's been great on that front. Where has it not been so great. Well - servicing costs were a tad expensive to be honest. Main dealers always are - but the major service of £250 for oil, plugs, filters, brake fluid, coolant and a general check over was expensive... Read review

...ecu. This took me 8 months to get out of them, which probably took 25 phone calls and 4 visits. Don't get me wrong I loved the car just not the hassle that comes with it. The car has a amazing handling I pushed it far as I could go, down country lanes and it kept on going the, tyres supplied new with the car are Michelin pilots, an amazing tyre the only problem being if you like to push the car there not going to last long around 6 thousand miles and a new set is going to cost a round £100 a tyre. The Car styling is one of the best around while out and around I received many complements on the car, as not many people know of the Satria Gti. The Best looking car proton has ever made due to the Fact it has been designed as the colt firstly by Mitsubishi. The interior has been updated slightly from the colt, the gti model is supplied... ...The Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 72 is a very excellent monitor with good definition and colour range I have had mine for a over a year now, but there is no loss of quality over time. The picture is great for games but I mainly use it for web design. If anyone is look to upgrade any part of his or her system, I would recommend the monitor, as this is the part you see the most! This monitor will cope with anything the computer will display. It may not be the cheapest screen but it will last longest and be the best... Read review
