Mitsubishi Diamond Pro (2070 SB)

Advantages: Excellent display, Highly reliable
Disadvantages: It goes back a fair way and it's no Flat-bed!

...Suitable for both home and professional users alike, the Diamond Pro 2070 has a whopping 22" frontage with 20" of viewable screen. The maximum resolution is 2048 x 1536 which, in todays market, is decent enough by anybodys standards. At over 60lbs (just under 30kgs) it is quite heavy, but as most suppliers will deliver the beauty this shouldn't cause any problems. There are ample controls on the front set of the monitor, they include brightness, contrast, horizontal and vertical sizing and position, colour temperature and other standard features. The dynamics of the monitor, and the immense resolution are evidence of how far monitors have developed in recent years, the high calibre glare reduction enforces it's worth in the market even further. The resolution pre-sets are as follows: - 2048 x 1536 / 86 Hz 1920 x 1440 / 92 Hz...

The Wii Fit Plus is an excellent add on, and great fun!

Advantages: fun, good for you, multiplayer
Disadvantages: none really

...The wii fit has been keeping me happy for quite a while now, but eventually when you have played and tried all the games within it eventually it gets left in a box behind the sofa, for 72 days according to my wii fit. So when i saw the Wii Fit plus was for sale I pre ordered it straight away, it gives a much needed new enjoyable boost into the what was already great wii fit. There are many extra fun things to do whilst getting fit with the Wii Fit Plus in my opinion. One of the great things is that it transfers all of your data from the wii fit easily and quickly in one click. You can now weigh your babies and pets on this. There are three new yoga moves - Spine extension, gate and grounded V. Three new Muscle workouts - Balance bridge, Side lunge and Single leg reach. However there are two new sections which I find great these are...

My office monitor

Advantages: Clear, good picture quality
Disadvantages: Still a bulky monitor even though it's a flat screen.

...As you can probably tell from the title, this is my Pc monitor that I use all the time at work. When you think of "Mitsubishi" I always think of cars not computer equipment! Design ---------- The monitor is a flat screen monitor with a white plastic edge to it. Even though it is a flat screen it is still quite bulky behind it. It looks like a normal monitor with buttons along the bottom. It stands on a circular stand which is hinged to the monitor so you are able to swivel the monitor around. One disadvantage with this monitor is that you can not tilt it upwards or downwards, only left or right. Quality ---------- The flat screen measures 17" across which is about 33cm. It gives you a clear, distortion-free picture. When you are viewing a word document the fonts are very clear and sharp. Set up --------- As...

Big flat box of fun

Advantages: 19" of DiamondTron equipped fun
Disadvantages: The screen is slightly more reflective than I had hoped - but about what I expected

...description of this monitor, it's specifications are as follows: 19" (18" Viewable) display with DiamondTron NF Tube for flat screen and improved picture quality, 0.25-0.27 variable dot pitch (0.25 at the centre, 0.27 at the edges), maximum resolution of 1600x1200 at a flicker free 75Hz. You will notice the 18" viewable screen size. This is especially impressive, as most 19" monitors have a visible corner-to-corner distance of 17.5". Does the extra half-inch make all that much difference? Well, you have to see two such monitors next to eachother to see it, but it's definately there. Some 19" screens can handle higher resolutions, but to be perfectly honest anything over 1280x1023 is far too small, even on a screen of this size. I stick to a more readable 1024x768. For the benefit of those of you who have never heard of Mitsubishi's Diamond...

Another sexy Flat

Advantages: sharp, strong colours
Disadvantages: image doesn't got right to edge of screen

...because they couldn't technically make them flat, or to offset the concave effect you get when looking at flat screens. Graphical interface as with most monitors looks (to my eyes having worked in product graphics, is ugly, no one it seems can come up with a beautiful OSD interface) Monitor is made in Malaysia and the paint finishing is not quite as high as on the older 900u model (made in Japan), but its purchase cost is cheaper as a result. Infact this flat screen model is the same price as many competitor's performance 19" CRT models, which makes it a great buy at the price! Sharper and flatter and you have aperture grill technology. The Sony professional trinitron models offer slightly better performance and is sharper at the edges, but at a price, the Plus 91 is a better bargain! The lower emissions monitors tend to suffer from...

Sky Plus is a Plus

Advantages: Record, rewind, series link
Disadvantages: Expensive, bad customer service

...If you love TV then you probably love your Sky + box and if you haven't already got one you really really need to get one. For me this box is definitely a Plus with one little Minus but I will get to that later. Sky + is a personal video recorder that allows the user to record, pause and instantly rewind live TV. It works in conjunction with a Sky television subscription. It was launched in September 2001 and in February 2008 Sky announced that over 3 million households now have a Sky + box. Sky + is such a benefit to have. You access all the features of the recorder through your Sky + remote. Recording - Sky + allows you to record any programme that you like. It is very simple to do. You do not have to set any timers or set up any video tapes, etc, the show is saved as hardware on the Sky box. Basically you search through...

Affordable 22 Inch Monitors Rock for Games !

Advantages: Games come alive with this monitor. Fully adjustable with Windows Software, 22 Inches! ;-)
Disadvantages: A very very slight softness to the text.

...Mitsubishi?s 230 SB 22? is a bit of a very good but ever so slightly flawed bag. Let me explain. I have had a 17? monitor for a number of years but always wanted a bigger monitor. Prices for 20+ monitors have come down to the price 17? were a couple of years ago, so I plumped for one and after a lot of research and very little hard factual reviews I went for this Mitsubishi. First off is it isn?t going to win any style awards, this is strictly functional stuff and if people are not walking into your study and going ?Wow, look at the size of that monitor.? Then its unlikely they are even going to realise its there as its no looker ! Its 620 mm x 630 mm x 600 mm and weighs 35 kg, this monitor is heavy and when receiving it take this into consideration as you can easily put your back out with it. It?s a good idea to get a (strong...

Reach for the Sky ( Plus of course)

Advantages: We watch what we want when we want
Disadvantages: None for me

... SKY PLUS Move over sliced bread, there's a new kid on the block! From now on I will describe things that are good,as the best thing since Sky Plus! I'm of an age to have been around for the first of the Ferguson video players (as so wonderfully described by the brilliant Peter Kay). There was no remote control- you had to walk over to the machine to do all the recordings, and the amount of times we settled down to watch a film my better (?!?) half had recorded only to find a recording of something completely different. My goodness didn't we think we were something, with our mock leather video covers that held recordings of Corrie and the likes! But know videos and video recorders are a thing of the past and will soon be appearing on the Antiques Roadshow. The advent of recording onto DVD seemed to...
