...The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 - FQ330.......... If your looking for something pretty special, which really in money terms isnt a lot compared to performance of cars in this category, its good value for money.... For the initial outlay for the car anyway. The FQ330 option, is named this due to the performance of the car. 330bhp. There was also 2 other options, the FQ300 ( with 300bhp ) and later on the Mitsubish Lancer Evolution 8 MR FQ400 ( 400bhp!) The FQ330 is extremely quick, the turbo kicks in at approx 3.5k revs. Similar performace car would be a Subaru WRX STi ( which is also actually more expensive than the Evo ) However there seem to be a lot of Subarus, or should I say, 'Scooby Doo's' out on the road these days, so the Evo is an alternative to be that little bit different. ...to experience the real thing. I put it in and began to play. You have a choice of 8 different cars to begin with varying from the Mitsubishi Lancer to the Ford Focus. I chose the Lancer immediately and decided what to do. There was the option of Rally, Arcade and Time Trial. I went for arcade and waited for the green light. "GO!" I was off. I drove throught the vast levels with extrordinary graphics and features and was amazed by the presision handling and suberb acuracy of the facts and figures of the cars. After successfully completing a whole arcade mode on hard (after numerous attempts) I managed to get my first car varient. It was a Lancer in a different colour! Advantages: The Supreme handling and the Superb force and speed

...My mate was drunk, and I took the car. Well actually I drove him home, but I can say that Exciting, Real and Aggressive are 3 ways to describe this car after only driving this wonder for about 30mins. My brother's mate who's 26, has just brought a Mitsubishi Evolution Lancer. Its a lovely deep blue, its not like most though. Basically its not standard. Me and my mate went to his girlfriends 21st birthday. He got slashed and he was meant to stay at my brothers flat. My brother Dave already left. His girlfriend asked me to drive them to Dave's flat and they'd pay for me to get a taxi home. I was expecting to be driving him home in a small Nissan Micra, but instead the walked me to this beauty, a wonder. So I took the keys off her, and I thanked her for not being able to drive yet. Advantages: Great to play, superb graphics and control
Disadvantages: Cars are a little dated but that is not that important

...but unless you know what you are doing you are best just to leave them as they are. There are many options including the weather and even the time of day the stage is being run There are 4 two wheel drive cars to choose from initially (VW Golf, Skoda Felicia, Renault Megane and Seat Ibiza)and later in the more advanced modes you can race the 4WD cars (The Impreza as well as the Ford Escort, Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Corolla). In conjunction with the Microsoft Sidewinder wheel we have the game is great to play and we often return to have a quick race. We also find it popular with visitors as it is quick to set up and the gameplay and graphics are superb. CMR is a must-have game for anyone who likes competitive driving games.... Read review

...I love rallying!!!Rally regulations are wonderful things. The need for car makers wishing to compete at World Championship level to build a limited number of identical road cars has given us a mouthwatering selection of machinery in the last 30 years. The Mini Cooper owed its beginnings to World Rallying. So did the Lancia Stratos, the Audi Quattro Sport, the Peugeot 205 T16 and countless others. Sadly, current WRC cars don't need to be in production before they can compete - or at least, the fastest Group A machines that Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz and his friends drive don't. Fortunately, however, the same rallies also include a 'showroom' category known as Group N for which limited numbers of road cars do need to be built. Advantages: FAST very fast, thrilling, not overly priced compared to other sporty cars capable of such speeds, beautiful.
Disadvantages: insurance is just wrong !!!

...foot down that you realise the need for the massive spoilers and sills and valances. As for handling there is one word to sum it up, UNRIVALED, only until you actually drive this car can you comprehend the way it literally glues itself to the road come sun, rain or snow, when going round a bend the active yaw stability controll lets you know your safe as it sets the cars weight up perfectly to give more grip. The car is built with safety in mind with driver and passenger airbags as standard, a truly unbeleivable ammount of stopping power from the brakes, side impact protection, front and rear impact protection, obviously no car is invincible but mitsubishi are difinately having a good go at it. ...This is supposedly one of the best on the market and our car (mitsubishi lancer evo V) already had one fitted and included an immobiliser. It was easy to use and on testing it was loud when set off. I am told it cost £350 to install so semmed to be rather expensive but we hadn't had to fork out for it! When activated, any opening of doors, windows or bonnet would set off the alarm. The immobiliser had to dis-activated differently once inside the car and unless done so the car would not start. All in all it seemed to be a very good alarm but it turns out we were proved wrong. On Monday night the alarm went off at approximately 11.45pm thus causing my partner to jump out of bed and run down the stairs but no one was around and everything seemed to be intact so he reset and came back to bed. We were woken at 5 am by a neighbour... Read review
