Hello MJU!
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital by
purplelynne
Advantages: Lightweight camera
Disadvantages: None yet
...to cameras of the digital variety. So he told me to buy it myself as a family present rather than a personal one, and promptly handed over the cash. This was great as I still got proper presents and everything!
I decided to wait until after Christmas, hoping that the sales would produce a suitable camera with a bit of money off to boot. So we eventually hit the sales on the Monday after Christmas. After fighting our way through Curry’s amongst angry looking customers with arms laden with cheap kettles and CD players we ran all the way to Jessops, which wasn’t so busy or filled with crazy bargain hunters.
We met a very nice man in Jessops who pointed us in the right direction after giving him our budget and camera requirements. He showed us a variety of different cameras but as soon as I saw the Olympus mju with 4m pixels, I fell...

Olympus's Latest [Mju:] and it's a SCREAMER!!
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital by
lereddevil
Advantages: small and light, metal body giving a sophisticated look and feel, easy to operate, weather proof
Disadvantages: the memory card is different from my previous Olympus digital camera, image quality at dimly lit environment is somewhat questionable, software supplied not up to standard
...--INTRO ON THE MJU--
This camera is the latest from Olympus' "stylish" line of cameras and not surprisingly it's called [Mju:] 410. The previous models were the Mju300 and Mju400.
In this review, I'm not going to dwell too much into the technical side, as I'm no expert myself. You can always get the full low-down of the spec from Olympus' official website at:
http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/digimg/intro.cfm?id=%B5%5Bmju%3A%5D%20410%20Digital
In the UK, the camera is launched around February 2004, and so far, a few website have been selling them at a price from £240 and above, although Amazon is selling the for £190.43, which I find it unbelievable if you search for Mju 410 in www.Amazon.co.uk. If this is really true, this camera will be the hottest property in the 4.0 mega-pixels range. My friend helped my to buy the camera...

Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital review
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital by
illuminate
Advantages: great for just turnig on and taking pictures
Disadvantages: limited cotrol (eg, professional settings, such as aperture and shutter and iso speed)
...the Olympus µ[MJU:] 410 Digital is an update of the Olympus µ[MJU:] 400 Digital, which was a popular model. olympus have added quite a few extra features to this camera such as:
-true pic turbo image processor which delivers more image clarity, contrast and brilliant colour and also increases the camera's processing speed by up to 30%.
-sunshine LCD screen, 1.5 inches with 134,000 pixels
-wider ISO range (from 64 to 500)
-more scene program exposure modes like aperture priority, shutter speed priority or manual.
-movie recording function with sound and PictBridge support whichallows direct printing with compatible printers.
All for only about £40 more than its slightly older predecessor.
In adition, the camera has a 4 megapixel resolution and a full body metal case, which protect the camera from water spray from any...

Olympus MJU 770 SW
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 770 SW by
ciaomeow
Advantages: water-proof, drop-proof, shock-proof and takes great pictures
Disadvantages: lens in top left corner so wouldn't suit those with huge hands
...I bought this about 8 weeks ago from clickto.co.uk for just over £225 including delivery, and I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived
The olympus MJU 770 SW is a fabulous camera in every way, it's small, light, waterproof, drop proof, and you can stand on it if you so wish as long as you are under 100 kilograms
I bought it to travel with and spent many a happy day snorkelling in hurghada recently, it takes simply stunning underwater shots and I can not recommend it highly enough
the batter life is very reasonable, shot time is quick, display bright and clear in fact the only negative point would only affect those with big hands, sometimes your finger may obscure the lens as it's in the top left corner so you need to be aware of finger placement but apart from that it's a fantastic camera and I can't see me changing mine...

Olympus MJU 700 - a fantastic, versatile camera
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 700 Digital by
abisurveying
Advantages: Wide range of settings, and very user friendly
Disadvantages: Expsoure can be a problem, also viewfinder
...I have recently switched from an earlier Olympus 3MP camera to this MJU 700, and have largely felt nothing but joy when using this camera.
The body of this camera has been designed extremely well, and is sleek and stylish, not to mention being available is some stunning colours, but also is incredibly comfortable to handle. A large (2.5") LCD viewfinder means no more squinting at the image you are trying to capture, but is large, sharp and clear. The one disadvantage that comes with this large screen is that there is no manual viewfinder, so in extremely bright sunshine it is nearly impossible to view the image on the LCD screen, so it's a case of 'point, guess and shoot, and hope for the best'!
The camera itself features approx 23 scene settings, including the usual potrait/self potrait/landscape/landscape and potrait/night etc etc...

The Olympus u[MJU:] 400 Digital Camera.
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 400 Digital by
CoolMeg
Advantages: Compact, Lightweight, Stylish and 4.0 megapixels means you can print up to A3, still with a high quality printout.
Disadvantages: No protective case included and the larger xD-Picture Cards are highly priced.
...of each camera was. After days of searching I went to a store where they only sold cameras. When I entered the store there was a lot of information for potential customers. For example, there was a list of megapixels, then next to it; it told you how large you could print up to with each amount of pixels, which would still be of a high quality.
I had a good look at the list and decided that I may want to print my images up to A3. I therefore needed a 4.0 megapixel or higher Digital Camera. Off I went looking at each suitable manufacturer’s cameras.
Then I spotted it, the Olympus u [MJU:] 400 Digital Camera. It was excellent. I liked the look of it as, it was compact and in a tough, hard looking metal case, which meant if I dropped it, it wouldn't break easily. When the staff handed it to me, I couldn't believe how stylish it looked...

MJU, I LOVE YOU!
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] 300 Digital by
jellybean11
Advantages: weatherproof stylish body, easy to use, accurate images, good battery life, reasonable price
Disadvantages: lack of manual modes, accidentally changing mode
...The MJU range from Olympus is a series of stylish ultra-compact film cameras which has been so hugely successful that they have launched the same line in a digital range to give the user all the advantages of the MJU cameras but with digital capabilities rather than film. The film v digital debate is something I could talk about for hours but I won’t, at the end of the day it’s down to what you personally prefer and for what you need. With so much overlap nowadays e.g. the option to have your photos put on a CD ROM if you have a film developed and also the option to get print outs of your digital images it really is a matter of personal preference on what type of camera you go for. Olympus currently has the MJU 300 digital and the MJU 400 digital, with the main difference being, of course, the extra megapixel. I am reviewing the Olympus...

Mju (Mew)... It's The Cat's Whiskers!
Review of Olympus MJU Mini S by
Mayclair
Advantages: Easy to use...
Disadvantages: Non Yet!!!
...O.K. I admit it...I'm a technophobe, so you can imagine how I felt when told that my beloved Olympus camera had gone to the great camera heaven forever but that I could buy the same camera…only in digital format. Wahoo (I don't think) but as I needed a camera for my holiday which is only 2 weeks away WAHOO (and I really mean it this time) I felt I had no choice and, with that in mind, I hot-footed it back home.
Firstly, I set about getting as much information as I could from the net, so I smurfed and smurfed and after a long deliberation homed in on the Olympus mini mju (pronounced mew) which is the Greek symbol for 'small'. I found that these cameras could be found in most of the High Street shops at varying prices from £174.99 at Dixons to £199.89 at Currys and a range of other prices around the same mark.
I then decided to do...

Just between me and mju
Review of Olympus mju DIGITAL 600 by
jim25glen
Advantages: excellent lens, good range of features, large (2.5") LCD screen
Disadvantages: No viewfinder, small buttons, not great for contrajour shots
...I've always been an Olympus camera fan, and have bought quite a few of them over the years - not because they're unreliable and need constant replacing, but because technology moves on and I don't like to get left behind! My last Olympus digital camera was only 2 megapixels (virtually top of the range when I bought it), so was due a well-deserved retirement. I settled on the Olympus mju digital 600 to replace it, and overall I've been fairly happy with it. One thing to note though if you're intending to upgrade from an earlier Olympus - the mju 600 takes an XD card, so you may not be able to use your old memory cards. And if you're buying a new card, make sure you buy genuine Olympus cards if you intend to use the camera's "panorama" function (it doesn't work with other cards).
What about the specification? Well, the mju 600 offers...

Are you MJU Too?
Review of Olympus µ[MJU:] Mini DIGITAL by
Trevni
Advantages: Stylish, Light, Small, Six Colours, Fantastic LCD Screen for Reviewing Pics, Quick Start up
Disadvantages: Focus isn't great sometimes
...You've seen the advert. The one with the fish tank and the people on either side. Well if not, keep your eyes open, it was cool enough to get me looking around the camera shops for a christmas pressie!
The MJU-mini digicam (Also known as the "Stylus Verve" in the US) is designed to be an improvement on the already very popular MJU. As a result, Olympus have had to do some very careful thinking about how to not let the fans down at this festive time of year.
The Answer? This sexy piece of kit!
Before I get down to all the tech specs, Olympus have quite cleverly made their camera into a fashion accessory too, with the ability to choose from 6 different colours for you new best friend:
Pure White
Jewellery Silver
Cosmic Black
Copper Orange
Crystal Blue
Velvet Red
Whether anyone will be obsessed enough to collect all...
