...of this particular range of computers I can say that even today in a household with two considerably newer computers the Apple G4 is still a very quick and remarkably "undated" computer and still serves as the primary platform for my Webdesign company. This is because of its stability, ease of use, power and reliabilty. The statistics for the G4 are impressive also. As an owner of one of the 1st models my computers specification is outlined below: Speed : 350Mhz G4 Ram : 192mb with capacity for 1.5GB Storage Space: 40GB Today's current range of G4's run two proccesors in parralel to split the workload at speeds up to 1.25ghz. Now dont be fooled by the numbers. Many modern computers from manufacturers such as Dell or Compaq have proccesors that exceed 2Ghz or more. This is probably the best built laptop i've ever seen for professional use. The clean lines of it's rugged titanium body are a departure from the previous Powerbook designs which were curved and more bulky. It's also a million miles away from the design of the iBook, Apple's highly successful consumer laptop. ...The cube is the latest product from Apple. It is a G4 supper computer in a 8inch cube. There are two models, one with a G4 450, 64MB RAM and 20GB HD and one with G4 500, 128MB RAM and 30GB HD. Both have DVD, USB, Firewire, 16MB ATI Rage 128 pro and 10/100 BaseT ethernet. They also ship with the new optical mouse, new keyboard and Harmon Kardon USB speakers. This machine looks fantastic (see the apple web site for pics) it is a white cube suspended in a clear case. on the top is a slot load DVD drive and an air vent. There is no fan so it is silent (apple claim only 19 decibels). The insides are easy to acsess by flipping the machine over and lifting them out. You can install 1.5 GB of RAM (if you have £3000). It also has the new monitor connector which carries signal power and USB in one lead, but is only compatibly with the new apple... Read review

...Apple are the best makers of computers and OS but if like me you dont have much money then the G4 is probably the one to go for, as it has all the greatness of apple mac at a much lower price. I got my G4 off of ebay for a very reasonable price about 5-6 months ago and it was a great change from my old dell PC which was painfuly slow and overloaded. External Issues: The G4 Quicksilver is a very sexy and nice looking tower computer although some people dont like the sliver effect i think it makes it look sleek and proffesional, also some people dont like the fact that it is finished in plastic but i think this mackes it look nice and shiny. The 5.5 litre box costs £5.95. The smallest circular container is 100ml and is also £1.25. You can make meals in them and freeze them, and you can put them straight from freezer to microwave for reheating. They are stackable and they are totally leakproof. ...My G4/400 which I purchased almost a year ago is still a killer machine. There are no games or software that it cannot run smoothly, even though it has no new graphics card installed, and only 128meg of RAM. It runs quietly, it looks gorgeous, and with 192meg of RAM it has yet to give me an "Out of memory" message, even though at times I have 20 or more applications open, including RAM eaters like Photoshop. With the release of the multiprocessor machines, the original series prices have come down, so grab one while you can.... Read review

...I bought this album just before Christmas and I am so glad I did. My partner actual got it for me and had to choose between this one and their previous album. He also advised me that he had bought the one with the two diva's. I wondered who these two diva's could be. It took me quite a while to realise that he actually meant il divo.... Anyway, G4 came to our attention through the XFactor. They reached the final and it was a case of G4 v's Steve. They definatly had my vote. They are a group of four classical trainined singers. The great thing about them is to look at them they all look like four ordinary blokes. Nothing too special. The magic happens when they open their mouths to sing. G4 & friends is the second album and because I have not heard their first I have nothing to compare it with but will almost certainly buy the first... Read review

...As with every Apple Mac on the planet, the G4 Cube looks 'the dogs dangly bits'. In other words- It looks BEAUTIFUL. You cannot beat the Cube when it comes to beauty, because it simply p*sses all over its opponents. It's compact, sexy and is still kitted with a satisfactory PowerPC G4 proccessor which is more than fast enough for every day tasks such as e-mail, web browsing and playing the latest computer games. Although the Cube has been out for some time now, you can upgrade basically everything in the Cube... Like the graphics card, the memory, the hard drive, etc. SO you can go from the normal 400 mHz G4 that you get as standard, to a gob smacking 1.25 gHz... Which is much, much, much, much more than the average computer-user needs. Overall, the Cube is great. I love it, and I think future users of the wonder-machine will too... Read review
