8mm exhibits bad taste and may be shocking to most people, but to me it felt like a movie with serious intent, especially seen as though it tracks the descent of Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage), as the ordinary guy, into the nasty, immoral world of underground pornography. The character, understandably, is tormented, mentally, as he simply cannot accept why all the evil surrounding him exists.

This film, starring Nicholas Cage, confronts the viewer with the suggestion that there might exist a more sinster side to the world of porn at its most extreme that we are all blissfully unaware of, or choose not to consider. Whilst the storyline doesn't have any great twists or turns the impact of the film lies with where it leaves the viewer, i.e. questioning what does exist at the extreme level of the porn industry even if not what is portrayed in the film. A well directed movie of modern day relevance.

...Again, another Nicholas Cage film! Before you ask, I am no way near a fan yet unfortunately my close friend is, and our video nights are mainly Nicholas Cage orientated.
8MM (Eight Millimetre) is a Joel Schumacher production released in 1998. If you?ve watched either Se7en, or Phonebooth, you will know that Schumacher isn?t exactly famous for his pleasant topics. His films are mostly distressing and horrifying to the eye, and with 8MM, there is no escape.

Nicholas Cage?s sober face stares intensely out from the video case. Down the left side, overlapping his cheek, is a repetitive ghost like figure of a girl, on a reel of film. On the back you see the phrase, ?you can?t prepare for where the truth will take you?.

The sound quality was very good with good bass response and clear high and mid tones. This item can also be used with anything with a 3.5mm jack (headphone plug) for other appliences like tvs laptop computer mp3 player dvd player ect. This item is well suited for anyone who wants to listen to music on the move, on holiday, in the garden, or just anywhere in the house without finding a plug scket spare or without needing any real amount of space. Best of all i came home and found this great item for on 35pounds on amazon and ordered mine straight away. never been happier....

...I have owned two of these lenses. One (the first) for my Nikon DSLR (since disposed of) and the second for my Canon APS-C sensor DSLR. Both lenses exhibited near identical characteristics and qualities which does at least imply consistency.
This lens covers the useful range of 15-30mm on a APS-C Nikon, 16-32mm on a APS-C Canon and 17-34mm on a Sigma DSLR - not quite the classic 16-35mm range but near enough nonetheless and, a valuable and versatile addition to anyone's APS-C based kit.
This of course is a Sigma DC lens and as such, is suitable only for the APS-C sized cropped sensor DSLR's. It cannot be used on full-frame or 35mm cameras. The EX designation stands for 'Excellence', Sigma's designation for their professional quality lenses and it's feel and finish are in keeping with this. It is quite weighty (for it's size...
