My 6600
Advantages: So many features
Disadvantages: not a phone for someone who just wants to make calls.
...you have written your message, you first have to either input the number of the mobile phone or, if the person is in your list of contacts you can simply write the name of the person, just like you would do for writing an email. It has all the usual features and options such as a delivery messages. If you select to have these then they are put into a special folder so they do not clog up your inbox. There is a draft folder that you can store messages that you have not yet sent.
The format of the whole messaging feature is cleverly laid out. When you go into your inbox, if you move the joystick to the left, it will move to my folders, which you can archive text messages, your email inbox, where you can retrieve emails by connecting via wap, the drafts folder, the sent items, the outbox and the reports folder.
At the top of the screen...

Brick vs 6600
Advantages: Camera, good features, battery life
Disadvantages: Expensive, rather large
...Yes, another review on a mobile?I?m getting slightly predictable I feel!
My friend recently got this mobile but upgrading his contract handset, and basically I stole it for a day?or so :P Being a Motorola gal, this phone was practically foreign to me, so here?s the idiots guide to the Nokia 6600?enjoy!
On immediate ?blagging? I noticed how amazingly huge this phone is! (108.6 x 58.2 x 23.7mm) Lately all the mobile phone designers have been going for the ?smaller is better? look, yet this defies everything! It?s like a brick?something from space possibly. I was pleasantly surprised at its weight though, being 122g, I thought a brick, *sorry*, phone of its size to be heavier. However, I wasn?t going to let these first impressions dictate this phones overall performance?so I proceed!
The first thing which struck me as being...

Sliding Back In To The Mobile Generation
Advantages: Does the basics very well. Great looks and form factor.
Disadvantages: Easily scratched.
...INTRODUCTION
Having recently resigned from my job, I was suddenly faced with the slightly daunting prospect of going shopping for a new mobile phone. My previous employer had a generous personal use policy for business issued mobiles (a Blackberry Pearl), so I have not had a need for a second mobile for almost four years. Luckily, I already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted from a phone. I mainly wanted to be contactable, make the occasional phone call and text, catch up on news via the internet on occasion, and have something about my person that didn?t look too dull or too flash. Armed with my brother-in-law (who was a little more in touch with the mobile world) I descended on Guildford High Street, and after some excellent assistance from a chap at Carphone Warehouse, emerged blinking into the bright sunlight...

Nokia 6600 review
Advantages: Huge list of features
Disadvantages: Not the best battery life, not the smallest phone
...it to download anything to the phone such as ringtones, pictures, videos, themes, applications, games and much more, most of which can be found for free on the internet. This is much better than paying silly prices by purchasing things slowly over GPRS. The nokia 6600 PC suite even allows you to convert MP3 files into realtones which sound very good before transfering them to the phone to set as a ring tone. This is a feature i think is very clever. Though the phone doesn't support MP3 playback as standard, you can download software to make it do this if you so wish, though i personally would rather use my ipod or psp and a good pair of headphones. The infra-red connection on this phone is also very good, though much slower and you have to line the ports up to make it work. It seems to work about 20cm away from the other device. The best...

Nokia 6600 - The new flagship phone.
Advantages: Wide range of features. Conventional design, wide support software-wise
Disadvantages: Bulky, improvements only cosmetic
...on a device such as a mobile phone a bit of a chore.
EXTRAS
A side-effect of being a Nokia phone is that this phone is well-supported. You?re able to customise the phone with different facias (although it?s difficult to get off), and the software support is second-to-none. I?ve seen whole CD?s for the Nokia 6600 offering all manner of applications to use on the phone for low prices.
The phone offers a host of other features you may use. The on-board calendar feature is excellent, and really makes use of that extra-screen. Appointments can be scheduled, alarms can be set, and navigating around the calendar is very easy. There are also the other now-standard features such as Calculator, Alarm Clock and Timer.
Games-wise, the phone only comes with two-games, Snake EX and MiniPix (rearrange the tiles to make a picture). To be honest...

My 6600
Advantages: Big Screen, Jog Stick, Very easy to use
Disadvantages: A bit bulky,
...I brought my 6600 a month or so ago after having a 7210.
I wanted to stay with Nokia as I think that they are the best manufacturers of mobile phones on the market.
I soon learnt that this phone is packed full of features and applications, it's everything that you could possibly want from a phone.
It would suit a business person as a business tool or just someone who likes to have the latest phone.
The menu is colourful and is very similar to a PDA.
There is little icons on the menu for messaging, contacts, gallery etc… just like on a pc.
The messaging is very easy to use, you can send email, multimessages with pictures, videos, and music etc… or just a simple text message.
The only problem I have come across the messaging is setting up the email account on the phone. I had a go by downloading...

Nokia 6600, ( the best has been beaten.) Damn !
Advantages: Cool design, big and beautiful, and it's a phone as well !
Disadvantages: None yet !!!
...Ok,...... I have to admit defeat here,..... my previous review on the old ( OLD ) Nokia 7110, being my all time fave' phone has now to be updated.
Loved its slick design, flippy flappy slidey, shoot down front cover, pearlescent paint finnish, big screen, roller clickey thing in the middle, etc .
Used it to death, and wore it out. ( rebuilt it from new parts ) and used it to death and wore it out again ....... finally the poor old 7110 could take no more from me !......... It is now resigned to the (classic phone) draw in my kitchen............ along with about 10 other previous examples from Orange.
In 20 years time when some museum wants to find a mad person who still owns original examples of the mobile phone......... from ' Brick to slick ' .................. look no further !....... How much you offering ?.
When I started...

6,600 reasons I love my phone.
Advantages: Funky and useful, gimmicky and good-looking
Disadvantages: Battery life limited.
...the sleek and sexy 7250i to the 6600. My poor mum waited until midday for my phone. She was dead on her feet for the following forty-eight hours. Bless her cottons.
The phone is a rather imposing sight. It?s wider than Nokia?s other offerings and is dominated by a large screen that gives the impression you?re holding a tricorder from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Above the inch of sensibly set out keypad at the bottom is a joystick which operates the cursor of the phone. You?ll be hard-pressed to come across a half-decent phone without a joystick nowadays. People love joysticks because it allows them to reminisce about Commodore 64s, Spectrum ZXes, Amiga 500s and Atari STs without spending too much money or looking silly carting such ancient machines about with them. (All those who know what I?m talking about will also be familiar...
