A great device for mobile communications

Advantages: Small compact but infinitely useable, beating smart phones such as Blackberry or iphone.
Disadvantages: Not many, I just wish it would work with my router.

...I've carried laptops around, and found them cumbersome and time consuming - the temptation is to carry your full desktop around with you, and eventually this takes a toll on the boot up and close down time which can be frustrating when time is limited. Laptops and motorcycles are not natural partners either, and my personal lappy soon displayed clearly that it was not intended to be carried in a pannier where it was shaken contantly. I've tried a smart phone, but couldn't get along with the tiny keyboard and tiny screen. Fine for people under 40 years, but frustrating when your eyesight begins to deteriorate. My Supermarket Mobile

Advantages: Cheap, easy to get started, good coverage, clubcard points
Disadvantages: None so far

...So here we go again another review brought about by the fact I had to move to keep my job (long story and will be covered when I write the review of my employers when and if Ciao list them). Sadly for Orange their network doesn't cover Lydd camp - just the area outside it but no signal penerates the camp fence oddly enough. So while on my hunt for a working network I checked the O2 website and found they claim to have full coverage across the camp, not long after this I remembered the handset and SIM I was given by the nightclub I used to work for but was on Tesco mobile. Dont worry I've not lost it, Tesco mobile and O2 are pretty much the same thing because Tesco buy the 'spare' satellite time from O2 to operate their network. Which means that while the Tesco sell the SIM's and the handsets its O2 that owns and operates...

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

...This review looks at one of many netbooks to be released in the UK over the past few months, ASUS's EEE PC 701 SD. The model I have is fitted with Windows XP and has an 8Gb hard drive. I bought it on special offer for £155. Appearance The 701SD is absolutely tiny. It weighs around a kilogram and is roughly the same size as a hardback reading book when in the closed position. It comes in a neat box along with instructions,a mains charger, a protective case and a system CD. It has a 7 inch screen which is absolutely tiny but is still perfectly functional. The unit has three USB sockets, headphone and microphone jacks, and SD memory card slot, a small webcam above the screen and a microphone positioned just underneath the keyboard. It has a small touchpad which is small but works in exactly yhte same way as a normal sized laptop...

...After being with virgin mobile since it first was set up in 1999 and still at this present day, I have had no problems with them at all. I first started with the Philips Savvy and then moved on to a Nokia 3310 cause I dropped water on the damn thing, but other than that I have had no problem with the operator itself. You buy one new gadget and just as you learn how to use it another one appears and yours becomes out of date. The same is to be said for mobile phones. Not long ago they were absolutely huge!
