...I love Unreal, whatever form it’s in, so where do I go to fulfill my Unreal urge? Planetunreal of course! It really is a great website, the best of quite a large bunch. While the site itself doesn't do a great deal, what it does do is bring everything in to one place, providing links to just about everything that has ever been written on UT, including reviews of games, mods, skins, new maps and much much more! If Unreal Tournament isn't your thing then it doesn't really matter either, because there are Planet"gamehere" sites for loads of games, including Black and White and Deus Ex. ...'t need the max brightness all the time, you should do great on battery life. Wi-fi play will suck it up a lot faster though, so be careful. Pocket size- 10/10 for DS Lite, 7/10 for DS Both the DS and DS Lite are pocket size, but the classic DS will probably do better in larger pockets, because it is a bit larger than most handhelds I've played. But the DS Lite will fit in your pocket much easier, and wont' be scratched up by keys or stuff, because its gloss finish protects itself from all that. Although the DS is a nice portable system, it isn't perfect for pocket size, while I think the DS Lite really fits well. Compatibility and Peripherals- 10/10 There is so much that is available to customize DS, which makes it a lot cooler. You can buy different color styluses and pens. ...I ordered two nintendo DS bundles, gold and white and a red nintendo DS on its own at the beginning of December through sheer desperation as no shop in the UK appeared to have any. I was kept up-to-date through email regarding my order status and eventually received a package from UPS on Christmas eve (I was guaranteed delivery before Christmas). Unfortunately we discovered the package, once signed for, only contained one black DS console, one white DS console, one game, one skin pack and two chargers, all separately (no bundles). Also the invoice inside the UPS package listed all three DS consoles. These DS consoles were for my three boys' Christmas presents. Needless to say one of my sons was extremely disappointed but fortunately mature enough to accept that he would not have his DS on Christmas day. I obviously reassured him... Read review

...Sonique is written by a bunch of talented coders in the states, and it just whips WinAmp's, er, bit and bobs. The player gives a nice round sound to the MP3 music, and not only does it play MP3s but it'll play all the MOD tracks (XM, S3M, IT, MOD, etc.), all the WAV types (WAV, MP3, MP2, etc), and it'll play your CDs! But best of all is the visual interface. Sonique is just gorgeous. The skins that are available for Sonqiue are great (and can be of any shape), and the visual plugins are also awesome. The disadvantage is that Sonique needs at least a P90 to run the MP3 decoder, so no nice visuals on a P90. But with a reasonably decent computer, it'll blow you away.... Read review

The DS does however seem somewhat susceptible to very slight surface scratching and I would suggest that anyone considering a purchase invest in some laminate skins to protect their DS. Opening the DS reveal the apparently revolutionary dual screens top and bottom. The majority of gaming is viewed in the top screen with the bottom "touch screen" being used by most games for controls, status bars and maps. Switching the DS it is clearly backlit a lesson Nintendo obviously learnt from the poorly designed Game Boy Advance. Even without a game the Nintendo DS does have function as it has a built in calendar, clock and reminders for Birthdays. However, you do not buy a DS to use a personal organiser although some mention should be made of pictochat. In-built software is so often pointless in hand held machines but pictochat... Read review

...Tribes is one of the best multiplayer games that i have ever played. It has good graphics and excellent ingame options options. When playing on the Internet the chat rooms which are available are very good. This games play ability is excellent. When playing on the internet the ping can sometimes be high but for the amount of people that are playing in the game the ping is very good. This games supports opengl and software. This game is one of those games where you can download new mods which will give you new weapons and new vehicles. There are a wide selection of maps that you can play on. You can even download new skins which you can play with. I would recommend this game to any one that enjoys playing multiplay games.... Read review

Advantages: Simplicity of gameplay and a variety of tracks. Multiplayer genius!

...speed while skidding round corners using the legendary "hop and slide" manoeuvre which takes seconds to learn and months to master and naturally by running over the question mark boxes littered across the track there are a menagerie of weapons and speed ups available including a heat seeking turtle shell, banana skins and a ghost with kleptomania! These are but a few of the items available and once again it is nice to see a mixture of old and new ideas incorporated. Although the single player is undoubtedly worth the £29.99 purchase price on its own it is as a multiplayer game that Mario Kart DS really rocks my world. The DS is a marvellous little console and its wireless multiplayer option is what the Mario Kart franchise has been waiting for. However, they offer a 30 day money back gaurentee so that you can send stuff back you don't like even if you have used it. Liz Earles website is full of great information and you only pay one lot of postage (£2 for orders under £20 and £3 for orders above). I would recommend ordering a free product booklet from the site to see the combinations of products available. In my opinion the DS Lite has a much smoother, sleeker and much more appealling look to it, whereas the Original DS had a retro feel to it. The DS Lite has many features, including Pictochat and DS Download Play. Pictochat allows you to write a message with the stylus and send it over a wifi connection, great for when your in an airport or other public place (or if you want to talk about someone in the same room as you!).
