Advantages: This is as good as you could want anywhere - and consistently so.

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. flogging molly - drunken lullabies

Advantages: the perfect drinking album

...take the pogues. add even more booze. make them smile (and fix their teeth obviously). up the punk quotient a bit and move to LA, and you've got flogging molly. i saw these guys a few years ago at the reading festival, and having only heard of the dropkick murphys at the time, thought they'd be mere copyists. boy was i wrong. whilst the murphys act bawdy and belligerent, and are the perfect accompaniement to a drunken brawl, the mollys are more for those evenings when you're drinking with friends and just want some fun. by the end of the set, i was grinning from ear to ear, and not just at the irish jig moshpits that had sprung up all over the place. i reckon this is the perfect drinking album since it's paced like a good night on the lash. as you set out, it starts off big, bold, and speedy with 'drunken lullabies' and 'whats left...
