BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV

Advantages: nice flat screen, sharp clear picture
Disadvantages: can the cat knock it over? not hd ready?

...end of line 27" widescreen lcd flat television and just had to buy it. The only trouble was, that being end of line meant that you could not order it for delivery, so I did a search of all my local stores until I found one and we reserved it for collection the next day. My husband came home with the tv, we unpacked it and installed it so easily, it was a dream. The Techinical description of this television in the Argos catalogue is Bush LCD27TV005 27in Widescreen LCD TV. The Argos order number is: 529/2150 and we paid £399.99. From what I have read online, this television was retailing at around £600 originially, but at the moment, all of the LCD televisions seem to be 26 or 30/32 inches, so it looks like they are phasing out the 27" ones. ...I'm not overly fussed with some of the technical aspects of televisions, I don't even understand most of it so I'll do my best not to bore anyone with these during my review. As long as I can plug in my dvd player, my sky box and my nintendo wii with no problems I'm a happy bunny. I agree, Bush might not be a market leader when it comes to televisions (or anything for that matter) but this one looked nice. I bought this television almost two years ago to use as the main house tv. It sits proudly in the corner of my living room with the matching glass tv stand. Both were bought from Sainsburys. Cheap flat screen LCD TV better than dearer ones

Advantages: cheap, small, good enough picture and sound quality for us
Disadvantages: haven't really found any

...on the top at the back. I find it easy to use with the remote control. It really is a budget set - even the Users manual looks as though it has just been run off on someone's home printer. However it is functional and if quality is defined as fit for purpose, then it is a quality product. The television size is height 46 cm, width 36cm and visible screen size 38cm We paid £169 for this television but I see they are on Tescos website today for £148 - in fact I wish I hadn't just looked that up! Based on our experience of this set over about 6 or 7 months I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a small, cheap, reliable no frills LCD flat screen TV....

Let's sing the praises of Samsung LCD TV

Advantages: Saves space, good picture, built in freeview
Disadvantages: HD broadcasts not out yet, need a HD ready DVD player too

...apparent thiness. I particularly like the Samsung as it is framed in black ( see picture above ) and I think this gives it a sleek, stylish look. My boss informed me once ( he is full of pearls of wisdom) that a LCD tv is equally popular with husbands and wives. His reasoning is that men like all the gadgets that come with it ( and there are many like picture in picture, different screen sizes etc) while women like the extra space it affords the sitting room. To be honest I like the extra space it affords our room. Furthermore as a parent I'm glad that neither of my sons can lick the television screens any more when their favourite characters come on ( the things they learn from their mother!). It also means they have to watch the television from a certain distance which is obvouisly benefical to their mince pies! *** Spot the Difference...

...I bought this tv off Ebay it was used but in good condition i paid £220 for it.I love the design of it with the speakers on the side nice silver look. The tv has vga port,dvi,hdmi,2 scart sockets, pc audio and svideo.the things that this tv is really lacking is built in freeview would make it a lot better,USB or memory card ports i have seen these on many new tvs if this was available on thiis tv model maybe more people would be interested in it.The TV is also missing digital audio out but i wouldnt really use that anyway. This nice small tv handles the playstation 3 on 720p perfect looks sweet better than my last tv.the colours look so rich and the sound is very good quality.the speakers can go very loud and they never make that noise when speakers cant handle it any louder. the buttons for the TV are placed on the right side...

...wall mount to hang it up on my wall. Now the work started. The only wall I had available was drywall, hollow inside, so I was concerned about that. But some heavy duty fixings sorted that problem. Vesa is a mounting standard for LCD screens, that either use a 75mm mounting plate or 100mm. This TV uses 100mm and was easy to fit, due to it's weight of only 11kg. In the box: It comes with a kettle lead, same as most PC monitors do. Also in the box is a VGA lead to connect it to your PC if you want to, an easy to use remote control, the manual and warranty documents. Bush gives you the option to extend the warranty by either an additional 2 years (£51.90) or 3 years (£73.90), on top of the 1 year standard warranty it comes with. I found this to be the cheaper option, compared to taking out extra warranty with an online retailer or store...

I've had it now for around 4 months and love it. The 2.3" LCD screen is very clear and the colours are very vivid, even on a less that great signal. ...I have owned this Samsung television for a year now and have been very pleased with it's performance. I would say it was of average price for an LCD TV of this size at around £600. It was easy to install (although no aerial lead was included in the packaging) and the channel auto install was simple.
