...Monster 4X4 World, I purchaused this game in HMV with my christmas vouchers. And brought it home, put it into my Wii, at first I was confused, all the controls seemed akward I didnt get what was happening, you had to press 2 to select and 1 to go back. But then I realised you had to use the remote the other was around side ways (---) Then the controls became clearer. You have many options, you click on the world circuit, and you can choose from different vehicles, like the school bus. And also change the colour of the car. When your in a race it says 3..2..1 and then go, while this is happening you can accelerate and get a head start, then you'll blast off when GO appears. To accelerate you press 2, to brake/reverse you press 1 to turn left or right you should do what you'd normally doing when driving (Tilt remote left and right...

These monster trucks haven't left the start line.

Disadvantages: Extremely poor controls and gameplay, poor graphics... etc etc (read on)

...I got this game when I first got my N64. I was at first pleased with the game, it looked good. I mean... guns .. and monsters trucks. I thought that I could have a good go at this game. Smash some stuff up and completely crush the enemy!!! All you game-players you know what I'm talking about. The tracks are covered in hills, dips and jumps. You expect some good handling and controls to make this game playable. However this game was a total failure in that respect. In other games, eg rally games, power turning, skidding, whatever you wanna call it, it's always possible. You would have thought even more so in a monster truck. But no, when you try, your truck just stops abruptly, usually causing you to lose the whole race. And when you try to keep up your speed and take a corner at speed, but without trying to skid, you end...

Trucking at its best

With Terminal Reality's TrackEd program, you can create tracks that are completely original. You can use PSP 5 to make new ground textures, BinEdit to make new models, or go to the internet and download all sorts of things to put in your tracks. Of course, after you make something, there is a lot of fun to be had in testing your creations, both on and offline. Should this not appeal to you, you can download 1000's of home made tracks and trucks from the internet. Just use a search program and search for Monster Truck Madness 2, or MTM2, and you'll find a ton of stuff to download. Here lies the body of a good read, TRUCK Magazine was one of the stalwarts of the mags we all seemed to like, it was published for thirty years. and the last ever copy was printed in September 2004. Ciao have listed this as not having been reviewed, so I feel I must take the opportunity of putting in a word or two. A good old fashioned magazine, made by drivers, for drivers. The layout is pretty much the old tried & tested style, which is what we come to expect. The number of pages did vary, but all the regular articles were there every month. All information seemed to be factual, not hyped up, and was written by people who know what they are on about. All pictures were of good quality, and apart from very old ones, were in full colour. Speaking of old photo's, this mag contained some of the best old motors I have ever seen...

Me and My Monsters

...Anybody that knows me by now knows that I watch a lot of children?s movies. I have explained before but I get forced you know? One minute I can be watching the footie, the next I?m invaded by the rest of the family who abruptly turn the TV onto the DVD channel, shove a bowl of popcorn in the middle of the room and bind and gag me for the following 90 minutes or so. This happened only recently with the millionth re-run of Monsters. Inc. In fact, it took me back to the time we saw it originally back in 2001?? Can you believe it? An unloved monster

Advantages: Powerful acting, thought-provoking subject
Disadvantages: Violent, disturbing, inaccurate and flat script at places

...the atmosphere in which two desperate and lost souls trying to grab at their diminishing choices while only one is them is actually aware of it. There isn't much happening in terms of character or plot development, the events cascade rather rapidly and bring blow after blow to the hasty ending. It's certainly not for the faint hearted to watch, some of the more violent and graphic ones made me cringe with dismay. I did cry at the end, while the most emotionally charged moments of the movie were played out. Conclusion I do not feel that having prior knowledge of the plot would make watching the movie any less intense. The reason for that is the events are portrayed with a bias, namely from Aileen's point of view and not e.g from the victims' family or the press who obviously did their best to portray her as a monster.
