...I saw some girls talking about this in the shop and I had to buy it to see if it actually did what they said. It's like those mood-rings from the 90's which change colour when you wear them, depending on your mood. Except in a lip gloss!! It's worth the money for the novelty of it I'm telling you! It kept me amused for months! Its like loads of different lip-glosses in one because it has loads of shades. You simply apply it like you would a normal lip gloss and it comes out of the tube clear, it stays clear on your lips for a few seconds then starts changing to suit your mood. The shades vary from clear with a very slight baby pink tint, to a gorgeous deep fuchsia. It's about the average cost for a Too Faced lip gloss so I think it's very good value. Terrible mood swings

Advantages: Clear skin, light periods, no weight gain, no pregnancy!

...I started taking Yasmin 6 months ago, my first time taking a contraceptive pill. PROS I have not gained any weight and my skin is clear and spot free for the first time in ages! I've also not got pregnant, I have no period cramps and my period is short and light. CONS Really awful MOOD SWINGS. During my third month taking it I thought I was losing my mind! Awful anxiety and negative thoughts, crying and even hysterical on way too regular a basis. This calmed down for a while and I continued but I have noticed that overall I still feel quite low and am not the optimistic woman I know I am. I feel weak and emotional and my boyfriend is constantly having to reassure me. I cry about nothing almost every day. I think I'm going to come of it and try a non hormonal alternative....

...In a parent's quest to find products and toys that will last longer than the average 6 month period that seems to be the norm with children's stuff I happened upon the Hedstrom 2 in 1 swing. At the time my 9 month old son loved swings and would squeal with delight as soon as he was sat in one and we decided to get one for our garden. I was taken by the idea of this swing as it combines a baby swing with a grown up swing allowing you to change both the seat and the height of the swing to adapt as your child grows. Nasty mood swings and NO sex drive

Disadvantages: Lots of side effects - mood swings, low libido, weight gain, depression

...Horrid horrid horrid. I think I had a particularly bad experience with Implanon - the insertion was ok, but everything from there on in was just nasty. Mighty mood swings, period pain, vaginal dryness, NO sex drive - it was just awful. Then to add insult to injury, after 3 months when I went to get it taken out, the normal "two minute removal" procedure took about 20 minutes because in that short time, the rod had disappeared underneath my skin, and they had to open me up more and fossick around with the forceps for ages. I've never been a great fan of hormonal contraception, but I've just started Cerazette. No nasty side effects yet, full sex drive (though I have to watch my appetite carefully else I'll put on weight much more easily). Fingers crossed, I've only been on it a couple of weeks....

Ovranette is doing it's job (keeping us baby-free for the time being) and I'm not getting mood swings or gaining hundreds of pounds having switched pills quite recently. If you got on with Dianette and need to switch, bear this in mind when you speak to your GP....

Swing baby swing!

Advantages: Hands-free time for mum.
Disadvantages: Expensive. Not much for baby to do.

...I bought this while I was pregnant as I had heard how useful swings were to entertain young babies & give mum some free time! The swing was easy to set up, but I was surprised at how much room it took up (it didn't look nearly as big in the shop!). There is a handy folding mechanism, but I have never used it as the stand seems to unlock itself when I fold it, causing more work by having to re-lock it for safety purposes. Even folded, the swing still takes up a fair amount of room. The seat can be turned 90 degrees, giving baby a different view, & can be reclined for naps. The swing has been a godsend - I'd never brush my teeth or get cleared up without it! It's a great safe haven to leave baby for 5 mins while you get something done. On the downside, there isn't much entertainment - just a mobile, which has 3 dangling...
