Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot
Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space!

...Not impressed with the H20 steam mop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance. On hard floors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it . Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry. Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened to kill any germs that might be in the carpet, it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface. The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: As uses steam, take care with babies / toddlers

...Saw a similar but more expensive product advertised elsewhere so since we have a lot of wood flooring we bought this model recently to give it a try. You know what its like - you see an advert and it looks brilliant but when you try it, it is not quite as good. That is NOT the case with this little beauty. To be honest, only my wife has used it so far but she is over the moon with its cleaning abilities. It does not leave the floor soaking wet as with a normal mop and bucket and so the job is done in less than half the time. It is also good just using good old plain water without chemicals - ideal if you have babies or toddlers. It is also extremely compact for storage and easy to operate. We bought ours off a third party seller on Amazon - only drawback was the high postage but beats driving around the shops....

...I have found basil to be one of the most useful herbs in the kitchen and it pairs beautifully with garlic as a basis for many dishes, especially italian style sauces,salads etc. It is unfortunately an annual herb so you must grow it every year and it can only be harvested in the summer. It can be grown from seed in a sunny position in your kitchen quite easily or if you prefer many supermarkets stock plants already grown. Basil likes to be picked, and to lengthen the harvesting period it helps if you nip the very pretty flower buds off as soon as they appear. I find that if you nip off the small leaves at the tops then the resulting growth is thicker and has more leaves.
