...the favourite list.
There are multi view direction map such as 3D view, 2D view, next manoeuvre and minimaps. We prefer the 3D view as it is clearer and easier to follow. The 3D give you the same direction view of route you are currently travelling making it easier for you to identify upcoming turns.
The Navman iCN530 comes with a car suction mount to hold the machine, a car battery charger and an integrated Li-ion rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery does not hold the power very well, it never seems to charge fully and we have to always rely on the car charger to power the machine.
We have all heard about the problem of using a SAT NAV. We have learned that some common sense have to be exercised when using the SAT NAV. We have learned not to follow the machine directions totally as it had bring us to awkward postion especially in...

PS3 slim
Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live
...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis).
Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD.
Sound-Yeah, ok...

PS3, for you and me?
Advantages: Stylish, good games available + lots more on the way, blu ray
Disadvantages: No HD cable in the box, no rumble, limited BC
...through remote play is games as the PSP doesn't have enough buttons, this is very neat as it can be configured to work over the internet so you potentially have access to all your media from any internet connection. The last feature is Folding at Home, this is project set up by Stanford University with the goal of curing cancer by folding proteins, this is optional and is not preloaded on the PS3. If you want to use folding at home it is a quick 50MB download.
The PlayStation network tab is where you go when you want to set up your PS3 for online gaming. After a short registration, where you choose your online name, avatar and put in your details, you are ready to go. After you have done this you will be able to access an account management feature where you can change your details if you have put in any incorrectly, and modify your avatar...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Easy to control
Disadvantages: Can't play normal dvds
...Playstation 3 is the third home video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PlayStation 3 competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game systems. It was first released on November 11, 2006, in Japan, November 17, 2006 in North America, and March 23, 2007 in Europe and Oceania.

Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)
Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only
Disadvantages: 4GB file limitation External Storage, Cant read NTFS
...I am going to be reviewing possibly one of the biggest console in the market currently the PS3. Firstly I have one and it is great, now let's take a look at it in detail:
LAUNCH
November 11, 2006: This is when it debut in Japan
November 17, 2006: It released in North America
March 23, 2007: Finally was released in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand.
The UK launch was a shock for who went to it, as it was announced that everyone in the queue would receive a 46" Sony Bravia TV worth £2000.
The launches did not turn out great for Sony as initial figures were low, here are the figures below:
Worldwide: 5.59 Million - Japan 1,341,000 - North America 2,105,500 - Other 1,300,000
The launch was initially supposed to be as follows:
November 11th for Japan and November 17th for North America...

MGS3 - nothing short of epic
Advantages: A benchmark for the stealth genre with innovative and imaginative gameplay
Disadvantages: This may put the makers of Splinter Cell out of business
..., the combination of the camouflage index, hunting and eating food, and healing injuries could prove frustrating if the gamer just wants to get straight into the action. Despite these small things, the gameplay is nothing short of captivating.
24/25
Lifespan
MGS3 gives you a lot more options, in terms of gameplay, than its predecessors in the series, and this, in turn, adds to the replay factor. Once the game is completed, a number of features are unlocked in order to spice up the gameplay; for example, a new weapon is unlocked - the patriot machine gun, and Big Boss can be dressed up in a James Bond - style suit. These things are just gimmicks, but it gives the gamer more of an incentive to play the game again. The actual game itself is fairly average in length, comparable with both MGS1 and 2, so it'll take about a week of fairly intense...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Graphics, playability, blu-ray player!
Disadvantages: None
...I have been umming and arring over which colsole to buy, the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I had heard a lot of positive things about the Xbox, and I had also heard that graphics wise and gaming wise the Xbox was slightly better than the Playstation 3. However, I eventually decided to go for the Playstation 3 for several reasons.
Firstly, and probably mainly, was because of the recent decision to cancel production of the HD-DVD format (a format which the Xbox 360 is developed to play), meaning that the Blu-Ray dvd format ( a format that the Playstation 3 is developed to play) will dominate the High Definition DVD market in the near future.
Secondly, last year, the PS3's Blu-ray DVD player was voted best High Definition DVD player on the market. A DVD player that would have set you back over £250 to buy on it's own, but by buying...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Cheap Blu-Ray player, great graphics, free wifi, internet browser
Disadvantages: Expensive, some games are better on 360, 40 GB model doesn't have backwards compatability
...There are probably 3 categories of consumer: (1) Gamers with a HD TV who are also quite interested in the multimedia/blue ray angle. (2) Serious gamers either without a HD TV or who are not interested in high def for films etc.. (3) HD TV/ multimedia people who are not that interested in games.
If you are in (1) or (3) categories then this is a bargain at the moment. One of the cheapest/best blue ray players with constant support. Now upscales dvds and supports divx etc.. Supports the very latest version of blu ray and is future proof. Sony can not afford to have this fail and the constant updates are great and frequent. Also of advantage (over other systems) are:
Low failure rate, built in wifi (even on 40 gb model), no external plug, no external hd-dvd (blu ray built in), no annual online fees. It also looks good underneath tv...

Playstation 3
Advantages: Great graphics and choice of games
Disadvantages: expensive
...I got one last year for Christmas and found it to be better than my XBox 360 in almost every area, in my opinion this truly is the best games console on the market and would recommend it to anyone who is into their gaming. The graphics are phenomenal and the range of games available is tremendous!
I find the controllers are much easier and more comfortable to use than the other consoles on the market today i.e. xbox 360s controller has no area for the hands to get a grip of and is quite frankly annoying especially when using after the playstation 3, the rechargable controller function is a tremendous help as i was always buying batteries and having the hassle of inserting them into the xbox and now i simply plug into the playstation console and the charges up no problem, i can even use the controller while its charging!
i would...

playstation 3 slim: the facts!
Advantages: very powerful, multifunctional console
Disadvantages: No real price cut
...The PS3 Slim is the latest PlayStation 3 games console, but it is essentially the same console as before, but with slimmed down components and a new, smaller body. The key improvements in the PS3 Slim are the 120GB hard drive, up from 40GB, 60GB and 80gb in previous UK versions and making it slimmer has made it 36 per cent lighter, 33 per cent smaller and it consumes at least 34 per cent less power (for you know worry about you electricity bills).
The PS3 Slim represents a new console just in time for x-mas, one that could start to make sony some profit because up to this is due to the vast majority of PS3 sold so far (around 24 million of them) have been sold at a loss. However, new manufacturing procedures have changed this recently, and a redesigned 45nm Cell processor along with other similarly small and power efficient components...
