Everything from Led Zeppelin to Madonna is reproduced with almost frightening clarity and realism. ...Well I had seen a review on this kit in what hi fi and fell in love with the speakers purely on looks and others opinions. Big mistake, after saving the required £600 I bundled them into the car without a full demo from my local dealer, when I unpacked the sats I found a few badly finished edges and a lack of detailed set up instructions for the sub. Still full of excitement I continued with my quest and set the speakers round the room and wired them up to my amp. I spun a first disc with my heart racing for joy, then it dropped like a bomb. The speakers sounded like something pinched off a matsui mini system. ...Just purchased the 309i from Richer Sounds and my first impression was it looks much better in person than it does on the pictures.. Its a very solid looking Sub and is much larger than you may think... The actual driver on the unit is also very slick and tidy looking... So as far as looks go, you will definitely not be disappointed.. When i comes to sound, i don't believe there are any Subs on the market that will offer you as much oooph for your money... The maximum power output is actually 360W (stated on the back of the Sub) and i believe the RMS is either 175W or 200W.. It literately only took me 5 min to set up the Sub but i was slightly baffled as to why there was no 'Sub' ports on the back, however Mordaunt just advise you to use the Left 'Line In' port instead, which worked fine.. A short story collection + Owl and the Weasel 2.

Advantages: 4 short stories and the second part to the Owl and the Weasel.
Disadvantages: Almost definitely not to everyone's tastes!
