...Working in my local Spar shop, I get to tidy the magazine display, from time to time. That is how I came to buy this one. I spotted More! the other morning and had a quick flick through, and decided to buy it. It is a magazine that has a lot of things in it, to provide light reading. It contains some sexual content, so be advised. Do not leave it lying around for the kids to pick up. Advantages: good price, 3 real life stories
Disadvantages: too much fashion and too many advertisements

...I used to buy this magazine when it was out fornightly and then for some reason stopped as I got caught up in so many new magazines that came out. I recently thought I would try it again as I saw it on the shelves on special offer at a cost of 80pence. It is now advertised at Brand New more magazine. The edition that I am reviewing today is dated 6 oct 2008. The front cover is quite dull compared to other magazines on the shelf today but its colours of blacks and purples made it look quite trendy and eye catching. This magazine is usually priced at £1.30 and is out weekly every tuesday. Its a nice size magazine, easy to handle, not too big and clumpy. 114 Pages so quite good value for money. ...This is MORE and I am NO MORE. Loads of you will be shocked to see a man write about a woman's magazine and yeah, this is a girly magazine, it even has those pictures of lads getting their backsides out for the ladies... HOWEVER! This mag is great and luckily I’m not the one who buys it, if I tried I’d most lightly to be under arrest with a pair of handcuffs wrapped tightly around my wrist. Imagine walking in and picking up the girly mags and then buying them at the counter, it feels like it’s illegal and although I haven’t tried I’m sure your heart beats fast and your adrenalin pumps hard! Is More weekly an overkill?

...I buy at time most magazines and More used to be one of my favourites, and still is to some extent, but since it has become weekly instead of bi-weekly I feel the content and overall product has dropped. There have been many promotions this year to buy the magazine and usually take advantage of these such as when it come free with Heat magazine andwhen it is priced at £1. I feel a £1 justifies the price of this magazine instead of the usual £1.75ish. The magazine contains a good selection of celebrity gossip, true stories, fashion and puzzles. More has regularly features such as position of the week and the problem pages. These are definitely more aimed at young girls but their something for men and older females with the fashion and gossip. ...To be honest, I’m not really sure why I bought this magazine. I’d just finished my exams and was looking for some light reading, so went into my local WHSmiths and emerged with an armful of mags. My only explanation for picking this particular one (priced £1.45) is that my subconscious was at work – I had just finished an exam on Thomas More – the name ‘More’ was clearly still floating around in my mind! So what’s More all about? Well, I’m pretty sure that the title gives it away! It really does have an obsession with sex! But, it’s a well known fact that sex does sell. Even on ciao, when you look at the list of ops, if there’s one about condoms for example, I bet you’d pick that one to read first – especially if it’s by Wigggly or Flashpointz...

...I?m a huge fan of anything involving Rocky Gervais, he is a complete legend. So it's no surprise that I immediately requested 'flanimals' for a Christmas present when I heard about it. I received it that Christmas and read it straight away on Christmas morning. My brother also had a quick flick through straight after I had finished. The book was clearly a big success in our family, so you can image the look on my face when I discovered that Gervais was bringing out a second book of flanimals called 'more flanimals'. Luckily enough I received my copy of 'more flanimals' as a birthday present, and as it is a first book, it came with a free poster!
