Easy Dough!!
Review of Cookworks XBM1038 by
warmstrong
Advantages: Fresh Bread whenever you want
Disadvantages: None
...We had, until two days ago, a Morphy Richards 4825 breadmaker. It had given stirling results over the past 3 years or so making a least two loaves a week until the heating element went. Looking for a replacement I searched all the usual shops - both online and locally and eventually found the Cookworks XBM1038 in Argos at £23.99. This machine bears an uncanny resemblance to the Morphy Richards 4825 and based on this we went and bought one. On opening the box we found that indeed, with a few exceptions the unit appeared to be a re-badged Morphy Richards. It has a couple of extra functions (called Ultra Fast) over the Morphy Richards 4825 and slight cosmetic changes. It works as good as my old unit and produces just as good bread and the Ultra Fast - if you follow the instructions - gives reasonably good results. Unlike the Morphy...

HA ! TWO MEALS AT ONCE !!
Review of Morphy Richards 48885 by
thingywhatsit
Advantages: Food preparation at its easiest.
Disadvantages: None that I know of.
...The idea of steaming food as opposed to cooking in another manner appealed to me because steamed food tastes nicer, and vegetables seem to retain more taste than if boiled in the manner I was taught as a young girl. Life advances and so does your knowledge, and with it advancements in technology and what is available to us as choices.
I have never liked loads of pans to wash, nor a lot of gadgetry on my worktops, and here the Morphy Richards comes into its own, as all the pieces neatly stack and fit nicely in the cupboard between uses.
I live with a vegetarian and until I bought this gadget, my cooking was a lot more hit and miss. I tend to put a meal on and then forget about it, go and do something else, and do not remember my cooking until burning smells come from the kitchen.
Well things have changed !! and for the better. Now...

CHOP and much more
Review of Morphy Richards 48950 by
matitora
Advantages: solid, good quality, storage box for attachments, quiet
Disadvantages: attachments are not dishwasher safe, only one speed
...After buying Morphy Richards' blender SMOOTH, I bought myself another little present, as I needed a proper food processor, something solid, but not too large.
I had considered the Kenwood FP920, but it was a bit too bulky and had too many attachments that I wouldn't use, but would clutter my cupboards. As I was pleased with the Food Fusion blender, I decided I would buy the food processor of the same range: it looked nice and basic and it had a storage box for all the attachments.
It is actually a bit larger than I expected, but it still fits nicely on my worktop, alongside the blender. The base is cast metal and it has a powerful 700W induction motor, which is very quiet - its more easily noticed advantage over a normal electric motor - but is also supposed to be more durable. It also has the characteristic cable and plug storage...

Smooth indeed
Review of Morphy Richards 48953 by
matitora
Advantages: Powerful, stable, glass jug.
Disadvantages: Jug is a bit heavy, only one minute suggested processing time.
...on the counter and didn't take up too much space. What I didn't want was that kind of tap-thing, that gives me the idea of getting easily clogged and never really clean. I had a look at the upmarket kinds, such as Vitamix and Blendtec, but I wasn't really ready to shell out 300£ for a blender, which was also bulky and not exactly good looking, I know they promise to do marvels, but, really…
I came across this Morphy Richards Food Fusion SMOOTH on offer in a supermarket in my area and thought it could be what I was looking for. I had a look around on the internet, but I ony found one review, but I decided to take the chance and try it.
Morphy Richards is not very well known here in Italy, but I knew it is quite popular in the UK. The build seemed to be good quality, with its cast metal base, glass jug and stainless steel blades, the motor...

Chips Potatoes
Review of Morphy Richards Select 406 Food Processors by
mandyco
Advantages: lots of blades and good safety features
Disadvantages: none
...There are so many food processors on the market that it's hard to make up your mind, which unit would be the best for you.
In my house chips are always on the menu, that's the main reason why I decided to purchase the Morphy Richards Select 404 food processor.
This food processor is in the medium price bracket at £57.99.
It has a 1kg dry weight capacity, a 1.5 litre liquid capacity, and a 1-litre liquidiser. Which should suit most peoples needs.
The unit has two speeds and pulse so you're not limited to a single speed.
The processor also has stainless steel chopping blades, these blades give the best performance and they don't rust.
The most important feature when buying a food processor is the blades.
There is no shortage of blades on this unit, it has coarse slicing and chopping blades and best of all the potato-chipping blade...

It blow up!
Review of Morphy Richards 44270 by
jo1l
Advantages: quick toast
Disadvantages: it blow up!
...When my old faithfull toaster finally went to toaster heaven I bought the Morphy Richards coolstyle toaster mainley due to the jazzy colours - they come in a bright blue, yellow and lime green. I only had it for 3 months and bang! - No more toast for me! In the 3 months that I was a proud owner of a lime green toaster it really did do good toast ie not over cooked and at an incredible speed. it is a reasonable priced toaster but not that reasonable priced for the three months i had it! I settled on a boring replacement ie not a jazzy colour! dont be taken in by looks! Get a toaster that really lasts....

Anyone for chips?
Review of Morphy Richards 45470 by
gizmoregis
Advantages: Dishwasher safe
Disadvantages: Just Price but not so much so
...Morphy Richards 45470 Professsional Fryer
I had an old white plastic looking Deep Fat Frier from my university days and it was looking a bit dated next to my new kettle and Microwave.
This deep fat frier looks the part entirely, you do not feel that you have to hide it away from view (unless you are having jamie Oliver around for tea).
While the frier is remarkably it has a surprisingly large capacity frying basket easily allowing a sizable portion for four or more people (depending on your appetite).
Another nice feature is the easy cleaning, the fryer is entirely dismantable with the lid and basin being entirely dishwasher safe.
I would suggest that you purchase a filter for the oil when you drain the basin for washing as the oil will last twice as long and food taste better if the oil is filtered often instead of just putting...

A Whizz in the Kitchen!
Review of Morphy Richards 48430 by
pollypickle
Advantages: Value for money, sleek design, simple to operate and to clean, 2 year guarantee
Disadvantages: Grating and slicing operation could be better
...I don't really know how I have managed so long without a food processor. My last one conked out years ago and I have made do with a handheld processor/chopper which has now also worn out. So, off I went to Argos to redeem some of my hard-earned Nectar rewards!
I thought I would have to pay quite a lot to get a good quality processor, but at £29.99, this Morphy Richards model is exceptionally good value (especially as I remember buying a Braun food processor for around £40.00, 25 years ago!)
One point to note on the product description - the bowl is not glass as detailed here, but is clear plastic (as I would expect). I find the 1 litre capacity is perfectly adequate for my needs. There are 2 speed settings + a pulse setting which is great for chopping nuts.
General operation is smooth and not too noisy. The different operations are...

Excellent Product
Review of Morphy Richards 48210 by
Lorii
Advantages: Appearance, versatiliy, ease of use
Disadvantages: None apparent
...I had always wanted a breadmaker but had been put off by frequent comments from friends who owned one that they were messy, the loaves were too small and the kneading tool always stayed in the bread – making slicing a loaf almost impossible. Other detrimental comments were made about the longevity of the loaves… without preservatives anything baked lasted no longer than a day before becoming bird food.
Thankfully, and against all advice, I purchased a Morphy Richards Icon breadmaker and am as thrilled with it as I expected to be. I admit I’m a soft-touch when it comes to stainless steel kitchen appliances and am embarrassed to confess that the appearance was a deciding factor – but the price was the main reason for buying this product.
I have been baking bread in it from the day it was delivered. It is very...

Morhpy Richards 43553 Kettle
Review of Morphy Richards 43553 S/S JUG by
sylviaclarke6
Advantages: Easy to fill, quick to boil
Disadvantages: None
...i recently purchased this kettle from a weekly market - DON'T - filter section of the kettle was missing. Morphy Richards can only suply replacement filters or counter cartridge. This kettle filters the water very quickly - much quicker that another well known brand I have tried at work. If you fill the kettle by swivelling the see-through section of the lid (without opening the lid) you can visually see how much water to put in. Quick to filter and equally quick to boil. I found that this kettle is excellent value for money - Due to the missing part i contacted Morphy Richards direct via email and received an email in return that offered me a replacement fully working kettle for a discount price and bought one for £20.00!!! Arrived within two working days after payment....
