Morphy Richards Impressed me

I had to choose an iron that was middle of the road, the prices ranged from £13 up to £69 and I Wanted a durable product that would last me for a few years. It seemed sensible to choose from within the middle of price range, the Morphy Richards 40730 was priced at £44 on their site, but I bought mine from the Amazon site for just over £34 with free UK delivery and it came with a two year guarantee. The powerful 2200 watt model is nicely shaped and maybe slightly larger than some models, but it is very lightweight. A great Morphy Richards Product

Advantages: Delicious bread without such a gaping hole in the bottom
Disadvantages: Ingredients bucket a bit stiff to manouver

...I have had my original Morphy Richards breadmaker for two years and it was still in good working order but when I saw a new model in Robert Dyas, I had to go and investigate. The new model on display was boasting a drop down paddle which meant no more gaping holes in your bread after you have removed it from the tin. That has to be a plus! The fact that the price had been reduced from £70 to just under £50 swayed my decision. My current which model could be passed onto a grateful family member. As I unpacked this very good looking silver machine, I found an instruction book, guarantee card (for two years) and the measuring cup and spoons. The instruction book is very clear and is full of interesting recipes which include cake and jam. There are a list of baking cycle times and you can make a fast loaf in 1 hour should you wish...

Morphy Richards Rice cooker - Too clever for me!

...A few months ago I read a review about a rice cooker and thought that, yes I could do with one of them. I settled on the Morphy Richards 48744 as to be honest that was the only one offered on the fact finders website and I thought I would use up some of my points. . The Rice and Pasta cooker is a mirrored silver colour with black handles with a toughened glass lid with a black handle and a steam hole. The cooker is 21 cm high without lid or 24cm with the lid and 28cm in diameter plus handles makes it 36cm. The cable is 90cm long. It fits nicely into one of my top wall mounted kitchen cabinets if the lid is turned upside down. Morphy Richards vs Panasonic

Advantages: Looks good in my kitchen!

...I spent a lot of time researching which breadmaker to buy as just before christmas my old Morphy Richards one expired (after 9 years - so I couldn't complain!) In the end I decided on the Morphy Richards 48268 (as against the Panasonic that friends have raved about). THE REASONS: Financially (a big reason) it was £42 as oppossed to over £75 for the panasonic one. I liked the idea of a drop down blade, means that there is less of a hole ripped out of your bread (happened to my last breadmaker as it got old). Didn't feel that the automatic nut dispenser was really worth the extra money - especially as I feel capable of tipping them in when it beeps I read somewhere that it takes 3hrs for a loaf (I never bother with the fast bake as it never seems worth while) as against about 4 for the panasonic. ...I love coffee as you might have found out from my Starbucks review but like everyone £3 a go for a cup gets a bit expensive sometimes so I decided to invest in a cappuccino machine, well let's say my Dad decided to invest for me and as he had the Morphy Richards Mister Cappuccino and loved it he decided to get me the same. They cost approximately £59.99 and can be bought from most stores that sell homewares, Debenhams, Argos etc. The machine is quite large so you will need a bit of counter top space in your kitchen to put it on. It is nice enough looking to have out on display all the time as it is quite heavy and awkward so I do not recommend moving it in and out of a cupboard every time you want to use it. Morphy Richards Mr Cappuccino Coffee Maker

...I have owned 2 cappuccino makers in the past, and both have made a lovely cup of coffee with a good depth of flavour, but the frother has eventually stopped working on both and I have had to make do with a tasty, but not frothy, cup of coffee. As I really missed the froth, I asked for a coffee maker for christmas, and I got this one, the Morpy Richards Mister Cappuccino coffee maker. It is just a regular filter coffee maker with a frother which just works by pressing a button, rather than using steam, which I think gives exactly the same result, and is much less likely to break down. This really isn't a cappuccino maker though, so the description is a bit misleading.
