...After seaching high and low we settled on the Morphy Richards Manhattan Kettle to replace our other Morphy Richards Kettle 43120 Glass Please read the review on the 43120 when i post is as it is a dangerous kettle Anyway back to the new Manhattan The kettle is finished in a highly polished shiney chrome which actually resists finger prints very well so it stays cleaner. It gives the appearance of being very tall and slim and in the shop it looked a bit odd but when we got it home it fitted in so well. It has a double cool wall and for those who are worrined as it is metal and conducting heat from the water don't. Yes its gets warm but not hot enough to scold if you accidently touch it. BOIL LITTLE KETTLE, BOIL (Morphy Richards 43078)

Advantages: fast boil, concealed element, neat design, central connector, looks good, cheap
Disadvantages: heavy when full and walls get hot

...After throwing away my last leaking kettle and burning a perfectly good stainless steel sauce pan to death I decided that it was time to get a replacement and given myself a budget of £20 (and a recently received voucher for £2.50 off PayPal postage) I started to look in my first port of call now for pretty much everything, that is on eBay. I developed a shortlist of three brands (one Kenwood, one Breville and two Morphy Richards), checked Amazon, dooyoo and Ciao for prices and reviews and eventually picked this model. With Christmas fast approaching the company have many novel and inexpensive gift ideas displayed on their website. Of course all of the prices have been adjusted to reflect the recent reduction in VAT. So many times I have bought an electrical appliance only to find a few months down the line that I need to find spare parts or accessories and often this can be frustrating. But I have noticed that Morphy Richards have a search facility on their website for this and if you cannot find the part that you are searching for then you can contact their Customer Care Team via the website. A great Morphy Richards Product

Advantages: Delicious bread without such a gaping hole in the bottom

...I have had my original Morphy Richards breadmaker for two years and it was still in good working order but when I saw a new model in Robert Dyas, I had to go and investigate. The new model on display was boasting a drop down paddle which meant no more gaping holes in your bread after you have removed it from the tin. That has to be a plus! The fact that the price had been reduced from £70 to just under £50 swayed my decision. My current which model could be passed onto a grateful family member. As I unpacked this very good looking silver machine, I found an instruction book, guarantee card (for two years) and the measuring cup and spoons. The instruction book is very clear and is full of interesting recipes which include cake and jam. There are a list of baking cycle times and you can make a fast loaf in 1 hour should you wish...

I settled on the Morphy Richards 48744 as to be honest that was the only one offered on the fact finders website and I thought I would use up some of my points. . The Rice and Pasta cooker is a mirrored silver colour with black handles with a toughened glass lid with a black handle and a steam hole. The cooker is 21 cm high without lid or 24cm with the lid and 28cm in diameter plus handles makes it 36cm. The cable is 90cm long. Morphy Richards - 43552. A Cool Kettle!!

Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Apparently Not Great

...Well i got one the other month to fit in with my new kitchen (more kitchen related reveiws coming soon) and I am so far quite happy with it. The great feature it has is it's Filter and Boil at the same time, which removes the need for a seperate filter so therefore saving kitchen space!!! Although it only has a 1Litre Capacity which would mean not a great family kettle, but I myself find it very practical. The Kettle boils quite quickly so there is not much time you have to wait when you want a cuppa!! I have no major problems with filling it up but sometimes it is a pain. Despite having just read another review saying the water goes everywhere, I am yet to experiance this. The main thing with any filter, is the cost of the filtering cartriges, but £10 for 3 really isn't too bad. On the whole I would definatly...

...Overall it's not too bad a product. It's a kettle. It boils water, what more can be expected of it? Supplied on the near ubiquitous swivel base its general construction appears robust and placing it on the base is simple with a good stable seating position. The cord from the base can to a small extent be lengthened or shorted by concealing portions of it below the base to help keep your counters tidy. Capacity at 1.7 litres is pretty normal and appears to be the standard capacity offered by most kettles. A clear and useful level indicator is placed on the side of the kettle, however this is only on one side and so may not suit all kitchen layouts.
