What A Disaster!
Review of Morphy Richards 43693 by
shaaza
Advantages: boils water quickly, has a filter
Disadvantages: very huge, very expensive, not 100% silent
...definitely find a cheaper kettle with the exact same specifications as this Morphy Richards 43693.
However, if you got the toaster you might want to buy the kettle just to match your other kitchen appliance, but looking at money wise, this kettle is not worth £39.99 at all, I wouldn't pay £20 for the kettle either. The kettle is not flexible, doesn't have a cool wall therefore any metal part on the kettle gets hot when the water is boiling and does take time to cool down.
This kettle is also huge; therefore if you are looking for a travelling kettle you are browsing the wrong page.
If it was me who paid for this kettle i would have gone back to Currys and asked for a refund.
Note
---This Morphy Richards kettle is for boiling water not any other liquids e.g. milk etc.
--- This type of kettle also comes in other colour e.g. white, red...

Boiling on Memphis!
Review of Morphy Richards 43138 MEM by
floatingclouds
Advantages: Easy to use - looks great - water level - auto switch off
Disadvantages: Cost: - £40 is pricey!
...Morphy Richards Red Memphis Traditional Kettle
Next (The clothes shop) had a sale online and offline recently. Mum needed a new kettle, I being the generous daughter that I am offered to buy her one.
So, as I was browsing through the Next sale online store I noticed a Red Morphy Richards Kettle 50% off. "Oh that one will do" said mum. "I'm sure it will!" I said under my sarcastic breath. A couple clicks later and £20 out of my bank account and the kettles is on its way to our house.
...Style...
The kettle in my opinion looks modern, contemporary. The colour 'red' definitely makes a statement. Eye catching. I like the style but perhaps that is because I like things that are unique and different to
the norm (what is normal?). You don't actually see many people with a red kettle in their kitchen do you? Okay I'm waiting...

Time for tea
Review of Morphy Richards 43438 by
scottishkat
Advantages: Can use for left or right handed people
Disadvantages: Tends to show splash mark's
...The Morphy Richard's Kettle. Model 43438 is extremely stylish and would go with any kitchen. The stainless steel Kettle and lid, With a black handle and a red button that light's when on. And has a black connector base which allow's you to store any cord not needed.
The great thing about this kettle is it can be turned 360 degree's on the connector base. Which means left and right handed people can use this kettle with ease.
It can hold up to 1.7 litres of water and a minimum 1 cup 200cc. Is quite light without water and a big cool touch handle that would able someone with restricted movement a good hold.
The kettle is also fitted with a safety cut-off switch. So if boiled with not enough or no water it will cut the power automatically.
I stay in a hard water area so the concealed element(no element can be seen flat surface inside...

Turn me on, I’ll be hot in no time…
Review of Morphy Richards Opera Cordless Jug Kettle by
broomari
Advantages: You can hear when your kettle has boiled.
Disadvantages: N/A
...kettle there and then as we could not bear to be without tea/coffee.
We browsed the shop and found another kettle we really liked the look of.
The Morphy Richards Opera jug kettle with whistle cost just £29.45 and came in a variety of colours.
We chose the silver pearlescent finish shade but it also comes in Nordic green and graphite. The natural pearlescent finish gives the kettle a sparkly look about it.
Features
1. 3.1KW rapid boil element, which means the kettle doesn’t take long to boil, which is good for all of us caffeine addicts.
2. The capacity of the Opera jug is 1.5 litres.
3. The Opera jug kettle has twin illuminating water gauges, which is good as most kettles only have one water gauge and 9/10 times can’t be seen due to the position of the kettle in the kitchen.
4. The Opera jug kettle is a cordless kettle and has a 360...

Morphy Richards 43121 Illuma Kettle
Review of Morphy Richards 43121 by
zoe_uk302
Advantages: 360 degree base
Disadvantages: Poor spout that drips, lid doesnt open fully, filter falls out
...Morphy Richards 43121 Illuma Kettle Blue and Stainless Steel
With a new fitted kitchen just installed my tatty old kettle and toaster looked really out of place!
I decided I wanted a kettle that:
Had a 360 degree base - for ease of placing the kettle onto the base
Illuminated when on
Had a concealed element
Was finished in a brushed or stainless steel finish
Had a matching toaster in the range
Was under £50
Is made by a well known brand
And of course it must look good!
I choose the Morphy Richards 43121 as it fitted ALL of my requirements and looked fantastic in the picture on the box. I purchased the kettle at Sainsburys where it had been reduced from £50 to £33.
Sadly despite the Morphy Richards 43121 meeting all of my requirements I was very much disappointed from the first...

Morhpy Richards 43553 Kettle
Review of Morphy Richards 43553 S/S JUG by
sylviaclarke6
Advantages: Easy to fill, quick to boil
Disadvantages: None
...i recently purchased this kettle from a weekly market - DON'T - filter section of the kettle was missing. Morphy Richards can only suply replacement filters or counter cartridge. This kettle filters the water very quickly - much quicker that another well known brand I have tried at work. If you fill the kettle by swivelling the see-through section of the lid (without opening the lid) you can visually see how much water to put in. Quick to filter and equally quick to boil. I found that this kettle is excellent value for money - Due to the missing part i contacted Morphy Richards direct via email and received an email in return that offered me a replacement fully working kettle for a discount price and bought one for £20.00!!! Arrived within two working days after payment....

A kettle is a kettle?
Review of Morphy Richards 43062 by
mrtimharry
Advantages: great name, great style and problem free
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than a supermarket' kettle
...I brought this Morphy Ricards kettle a few months ago off of Amazon for £24.99. My old kettle had broken and faced with a £5 kettle from Tescos which I figured would break in a couple of months and this stylish black and steel kettle there was no choice really. Admittedly I did have £20 worth of vouchers for Amazon to spend as well.
I have never ever had a problem with any Morphy Richards products I have ever owned, including my bread maker and toaster and so far this Kettle is no exception. So apart from being stylish what does it have to offer?
Well it is a cordless kettle, sitting on a circular base, so it can be taken to your cups if need be. Although I normally have my cups by the kettle anyway.
The other big points are the capacity, at 1.5 litres, I can make all the cups of teas needed when friends and family come to visit...

Morphy Richards 43120 Glas glass breaks easily
Review of Morphy Richards 43120 GLAS by
adictivepie
Advantages: Looks, Quick Boil, Brand
Disadvantages: Filling, Pouring, Quality, Dangerous
...We purchased this kettle a little over 2 years ago and until it broke gave us many problems. Although it looked great it was a horrible kettle to use
Morphy Richards is a well respected name (purchased a morphy richards manhattan now) in the small home electrical market and from the out look this kettle is another good one, but how wrong we were.
Morphy Richards have sacrificed functionality for design and style on the 43120 glas an ilumina kettles
Dont get me wrong the kettle served us well, looked great with its black handle/brushed chrome and glass body it really looks a great it of kit and boiled quickly is an understatement. the 360 degree rotating base is great for lefties and righties. So what am I going on about you are thinking
The design is great for sitting on the kitchen work surface but it is difficult to fill as the push...

Water everywhere but not a drop in the cup
Review of Morphy Richards Filtermaster by
Scazzer
Advantages: nice colour, boiled quickly and had a good capacity
Disadvantages: leaked everywhere
...I had to buy a new kettle as the old one was looking like it was fresh out of the Ark.
I decided on the Morphy Richards Filtermaster Cordless Jug, because of the 1.5 litres capacity and the fact that it was cordless meant it was safer to use with children in the house.
Well, I used it the first time and it dripped and leaked water everywhere but in the cup.
I tried resting the spout of the kettle directly on the edge of the cup, but it still ran down the kettle and onto the work surface. I was really disappointed as there was hot water everywhere each time I used it.
I took it back and told the shop about the problem and they thought that there must be a hairline cut in the spout of the kettle causing it to leak, and gave me a replacement.
I used it as soon as I got in, and yes it happened again.
I took it straight back and complained...

Whistle while you work
Review of Morphy Richards Opera Cordless Jug Kettle by
liz.carl
Advantages: Price, colour, whistles on boil
Disadvantages: Guarantee relies on descaling by customer
...I started looking for a new kettle when I recently had my kitchen re-fitted. I was desperate to find a kettle which was not WHITE like my old one. I looked around and all that seemed to be on the market were stainless steel or white. So it was a refreshing change to find the Morphy Richards Opera cordless kettle which was available in a variety of colours including; graphite, white, silver, blue and green. I chose the graphite as it was different, the body of the kettle was black but the base and the on/off switch were coloured silver. This matched my new black hob perfectly.
The price was also very attractive, I got it on sale at the Co-op but the normal rrp is approximately £29.50 which compared to the stainless steel kettles that seemed to have taken over the market at the moment, is just over half the price of an average kettle...
