Morphy Richards Pod Vacuum
Review of Morphy Richards 73090 POD by
disneyeyes
Advantages: Inexpensive, small, leightweight
Disadvantages: Somewhat lacking in power
...I have to admit being somewhat surprised by the all the favourable reviews of this product I've read on this site because, for me, the Pod vacuum has been a real disappointment.
Moving into a new flat recently with a deep-pile dark blue carpet that looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed since James Dyson was in nappies, and no vacuum cleaner to my name, my first priority was a trip to Argos in search of a cheap but effective remedy. Armed with a fifty quid budget - I didn't dare ask my landlady for anything more expensive so early in our relationship - I too was seduced by the Pod's quirky good looks. Top marks to Morphy Richards for producing something a little different, I thought.
Ok, so it's an attractive little number, it weighs hardly anything, it's bagless and comes with some handy attachments...but ladies and gentlemen, it just...

Morphy Richards Orb- It sucks!
Review of Morphy Richards 73173 ORB by
piggypine
Advantages: Manouverable
Disadvantages: When I said it sucks I didnt mean in a good way!
...Every home needs a vacuum cleaner especially mine, with 2 young children running about it's inevitable that there will be mess, crumbs, trampled in play doh...................... my old vacuum blew up(as most of my appliances have a habit of doing) my mum is a bit of a vacuum addict and saw this as the perfect excuse to get rid of her old one and buy a new one for herself, so I gratefully recieved the Morphy Richards Orb. My mum sang it's praises and being a vacuum aimed at pet owners I had high hopes, ok no I dont have pets but if it can get up pets hairs it should be able to clean up the crumbs.
Morphy Richards
The company was formed by Donal Morphy and Charles Richards. They had worked together at an electric fire company, Donal was an engineer and Charles a salesman. But on July 8th 1936, they registered as a private company...

Morphy Richards, no good at making hoovers..
Review of Morphy Richards 73310 by
tokenboy
Advantages: None.
Disadvantages: Loud.
...Morphy Richards Ultralight Cyclone 1500 W Vacuum Cleaner.
This has to be by far the worst vacuum cleaner that I have had the misfortune to use in my entire life. The name suggests that it is lightweight, but this is far from so. It weighs 7.5 kg, compared to 5.3 kg for the Electrolux Cyclone Power Lite that I normally use.
It is an upright hoover, which measures 42” high, 12.5” wide and 19” deep (front to back). It has a front loading dust cylinder in the same style as most modern vacuums. It has a bush button release mechanism to release the handle (from the upright position) but this can be a sod to get to operate properly, and it often results in the handle falling down and clumping me, normally on the back of the head.
The cleaning accessories or tools, that are provided are adequate but by no means...

Good value Bagless Vacuum.
Review of Morphy Richards 73310 by
ShellyQ1975
Advantages: 4 levels of surface thickness. Bagless. Light. Good value.
Disadvantages: Tends to tip up.
...It had been a while since I had owned an upright Vacuum, due to the fact that they tend to take up more room than most cleaners. But Upright Vacuums do house the attachment better, so this was a plus on it's part.
This is the Morphy Richards Ultralight Cyclone Vacuum. It has a maximum output of 1500 W which is about average for most vacuums, and does the job just nicely.
One of the best features on this vacuum is the 4 levels of surfaces that it caters for. The switch is located on the top of the bottom part of the vacuum, if that makes any sense. You just need to twist the button round to the level that you require. It caters for, hard floor and then 3 levels of carpet thickness. Ranging from 2 mm thick to 15mm thick. This is great for my bedroom carpet, which is very thick. And this vacuum manages to clean this carpet very well...

My New Vacuum Cleaner
Review of Morphy Richards 73361 by
lel1969
Advantages: Good Cleaning Power
Disadvantages: Too Heavy
...At long last a new vacuum cleaner! Over the past couple of months doing the hoovering in my house has been more of an exercise rather than real cleaning. My old vacuum cleaner still looked good and sounded good but that was it, it just didn't pick up any more. Time for a new one.
As with most people we still have a dent in our savings after Christmas so we decided to buy a new vacuum on a budget. After trailing many shops we decided the one offering the best performance with the best price was the Morphy Richards Cyclonic Bagless 1900W Upright Vacuum Cleaner. At £64.99 from Currys we felt this was a good deal for the features this cleaner was offering.
Technical Information
*Bagless Cyclone Technology
*Removable 2.7 litre dust container
*Washable Filtration
*4 to 1 Stretch Hose
*Ergonomic Loop Handle
*On Board Tool...

Morphy Richards Turbosteam iron
Review of Morphy Richards Turbosteam 40660 Iron by
cornishman30
Advantages: Easy to use, good grip, good quality
Disadvantages: Not cordless
...Our iron packed up over Christmas, we have previously used Morphy Richards stuff because we have found them to be reliable and do a suitable job whoever gets the short straw and has to do the ironing!
Since this is my 1st review of 2006, my girlfriend has been given the all important job of testing out this new little puppy. Today being bank holiday Monday, we thought it was safe enough to explore the outside world again and hey ho hey ho it's off to Asda we go!! (I know a song about that!).
Why o why don't Asda put irons with the electrical stuff? we searched for ages but eventually was told they were in isle 19! (Shame on us for not knowing!). There was a fair choice, from shop brands for the super dooper cordless models. I managed to fend the girlfriend from going down this avenue! I'm sure that one day we will opt...

Bells and whistles do not a vacuum make
Review of Morphy Richards PremiAir 1700 by
MarkKerr
Advantages: Small,cheap
Disadvantages: not the best by a long way
.... This sexy little number was the Morphy Richards Premair (clever play on the words premier and air eh?) 1700W. Let me tell give you a few details about this machine:
It doesn’t look particularly heavy and weighs in at about 5.5 Kg – not excessively heavy by any means.
It has variable suction power powered by a none too shabby 1700watt motor. It gets abit noisy, despite the ‘Whisperquiet’ (this whisperquiet tag doesn’t seem to be explained anywhere, so I assume its simply one of those nice but meaningless marketing tags). Suction power is set by a simple slide switch set into the top of the machine, between the cord retraction foot switch and the on/off foot switch.
It has an anti odour filter, anti bacteria filter and S class filtration built in (What about a dust filter? I hear someone ask – ermm nope can’t seem to locate that one...

Here Dust Here!!
Review of Morphy Richards 73312 by
HotBabes
Advantages: Built in tools, variable power, bagless
Disadvantages: filters hard to clean
...I have had my Morphy Richards upright for about a year now changing from a Rowenta cylinder. I opted for this upright as it had all the features I needed at a good price, was powerful and boasted 'right to the edge cleaning'. It was also bagless so no more expense on bags!
Overall, it's look is pleasing to the eye (not that vacuum cleaners are that enjoyable to look at!). Mine is silver and purple in colour. It is fairly lightweight and I can carry it up and down the stairs without my arm dropping off or making more dents in the paintwork. It has a carry handle on the back. The clever bods at Morphy Richards have situated this half way down so it really does distribute the weight evenly.
It has the following features:
Floor nozzle height adjustment.
Basically you choose the setting which matches your floor surface - deep pile...

Kicking up a storm.
Review of Morphy Richards 70313 by
Amazingwoo
Advantages: Compact. Powerful. Quiet.
Disadvantages: Pricey if you don't shop around.
...amount of dust which then results in copious nose blowing and as I have been known to shed hair at a rate of knots I needed a hoover that could cope with this. My previous hoover was a Sanyo upright bagless but after much thought I decided that the new one was to be a bagged cylinder as I didn't want to shell out ridiculous amounts of money for That Famous Bagless One that everyone raves about nor did I want the mucky fuss that emptying the "easy to empty dust canister" turns into every month, the one that always ended up with me having very dirty hands, sneezing and saying 'kin-hell a lot.
Off to the Net I trundled and found the following info……
Morphy Richards Storm Pets Cylinder 70313.
Turbo head
HEPA filtration
1800 Watts
Foot controls (on/off & cord rewind)
3.8 litre dustbag
6m...
