Many Many years of shopping at Morrisons
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
Geewhizza
Advantages: Good Quality produce Great Value Home Brands and nice store layout
Disadvantages: 8 miles away from me
...Well in all the years of shopping at Morrisons
I can honestly say I have never had to take anything back that has been out of date or of bad quality each time i visit Morrisons i always go for the fresh fruit and veg which is located at the front of our local store, the quality is so good.
I always go for the fresh bread myself, cheese bread is a personal fave along with sesame seed bread which is the same price sliced or unsliced and hedgehog bread is just great for ripping pieces off and dunking in your favourite soup!.
I love Morrisons i am a fan of there seasoned cooked chicken which everyone must taste along with there fresh baked sausage rolls, trust me you don`t want to miss these, also can i recommend the fresh cream gateaux`s great if you love your cake, bad news if you are on a diet.
Morrisons stock everything you would...

morrison's bluest hour
Review of The Bluest Eye - Toni Morrison by
melee679
Advantages: great story
Disadvantages: some uncomfortable revelations
...Toni Morrison is another of my favourite authors. She has taken on the unenviable role of being the voice of an oppressed generation of Black America. Her writing is bewitching and deals with many complex and sensitive issues and themes.
In 'The Bluest Eye', one of her shorter books, Morrison takes on cultural perceptions of beauty and worth, and by writing the story from the viewpoint of a child who longs for something that she will never have, she hints at the dark destructiveness of widely popularised stereotypes. She uses flashbacks to document the loss of innocence and dysfunctional family relations accompanying Pecola's spiral into madness.
The book also confronts uncomfortable issues of child abuse, religion and racism.
Morrison well deserves her elevated literary standing. Her books always provide a fantastic story with some...

Morrisons . Supermarkets at their best.
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
tinkerbell29
Advantages: Excellent service and value for money
Disadvantages: None
...I have been shopping at Morrison's in Chingford, London, since the store first opened approximately 2 years ago. A large store, with approximately 20 checkouts, queues are never too bad and customer service is always great. Morrisons have an excellent range of products, offering fantastic value for money, particularly their own label goods. Shopping is made even easier by the fact that the store is so well laid out - There is a pie shop, fresh salad counter ( where you can choose your own salad ), Takeway Indian and Chinese Meal counter, Delicatessen and Hot Chicken & Ribs counter to name a few. The instore bakery is also fantastic, with a vast range of breads, cakes and pastries etc. Also, Morrison's are to be complemented on their instore restaurant which offers excellent meals at unbeatable prices. As well as this, Morrison's also...

morrisons
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
tabyorky
Advantages: quite cheap and they do bargains like buy one get one free.
Disadvantages: do not do home delivery.
...We live near to morrisons as its about 5 minutes distance in the car. Its a fairly big store and always has the food that you want. There has never been a time when i wanted something and they did not have it. In morrisons it all set out so you know where everything is and on the ceiling above the isles is what is down each one, so if you did not know where something was just look at the signs and it tells you. There are always doing offers at morrisons, for example, buy one get one free or buy 2 and get the 3rd one free, which i think is a really good bargain. You never seem to wait long either in the checkouts as they have that many, which is good as i hate queueing anyway. As well as food morrisons also sell stationery, albums, video's and garden furniture, so they have a wide variety of things really. I find morrisons quite cheap...

morrisons
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
banco
Advantages: good prices,a friendly staff, and clean.
Disadvantages: not enough checkouts.
...I have a market stall in warrington near Liverpool, and when the trade is quiet I take a walk just a 100 yards away to a very large morrisons supermarket.
On entering the shop you feel a sense of space, it is a good place to shop besides the prices being very competative the shopping aisles are nice and wide,I feel very claustrophobic in a lot of supermarkets because they try and fit in too many things.
morrisons seems to be nice and spacious, the overall look of the shop is fresh and clean and my pet hate as in asda and tesco is the lack of a sneeze counter,i hate to see all the salad dressings (coleslaw, potatoe salad, vegatable salad etc.) and the like all open for people to help themselves.
That is all wrong they should have a glass counter to cover them up just incase people do sneeze, I never find this problem at morrisons at least...

What a difference at Morrisons
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
maatcat
Advantages: Competitive pricing with a difference
Disadvantages: none
...My wife and I visited the new Morrisons store in Ipswich recently and found it to be an interesting excursion.
We went and had a light lunch in the restaurant and was most impressed by the value-quality and very pleasant surroundings plus the quality of service which was most impressive.
We found the in store pricing very competitive with some great buy one get one free offers. As usual,we spent more than we had intended but viewed it as a good general buy.
It was pleasing to see a "DIFFERENT" superstore and one of which I would be pleased to return to and I am confident will be a great success....

Morrisons are good for you
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
REG
Advantages: best allrounder
Disadvantages: you may just live to far away
...If you were looking for a supermarket where there was always a good selection on offer, where food was well presented and looked fresh and inviting, where staff are friendly and helpful, where you can get a good meal at lunch time, where petrol prices are as good if not better than anywhere else on your patch, Where alcholic beverages were a plenty and at attractive prices with good 'offers' laways around, where fish, meat, veggies, cold meats and cheeses always lood first class, where would you go?
If you are the unluckiest person alive you are certainly not going to live in an area served by Morrisons. If you do youn will know what I mean. ASDA may be cheaper overall on price but Morrisons comes pretty close and one visit could well be enough to make you a devotee....

new to us and very good
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
cabletow
Advantages: new clean frindly and cheap
Disadvantages: how long will it stay like that
...Morrisons is new to us in east Anglia. you folk up north have been lucky to have this superstore for some time and now we too can taste the fresh air that Morrisons provides. we have had to tolerate its competitors for years but this store with its honest attempt to lure us away from the big three is superb.
We have never before been impressed with the layout and the range of products. The price too is keenly competitive but what makes the difference are the staff. they were friendly and keen to help, and how often do you read that when it comes to superstores. True the store is new and soon the novelty may wear off but for now we will enjoy the ambience. Nice one Morrisons we like you down here and long may you stay our friendly "local" superstore....

morrisons supermarket
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
reddressgirl
Advantages: cheap with good offers
Disadvantages: lack of home delivery
...Bored with all the major supermarkets I decided to try Morrisons. Friends who had been were overall pleased with the shopping experience of Morrisons and had recommended it to me.
My first impression of Morrisons was how bright clean and well organised the store was. The staff were neat and tidy in appearance and extremely helpful in pointing things out. When asking a staff member for help in locating a product they wouldnt just send you to some obscure numbered aisle you had no chance of finding but would take you to the product directly, and do it with a smile.
Everything in the store was in the place you would expect to find it and there were signs above every aisle telling you what was stocked on that particular aisle.
I found the range of food that morrisons sells to be excellent and everything I would possibly want and more...

Morrisons. There are more reasons to shop there!
Review of Morrisons (Shop) by
Martinscholes
Advantages: A good range
Disadvantages: Not all branches are quite as good as the best
...There are, as the jingle for the Morisons advert used to say: "More reasons to shop at Morisons."
The company was founded in the late 19 century by a Mr William Morrison who was a market trader. He opened his first stall in Bradford market in 1899. He was a retailer of eggs an butter. Incidentally he was the father of Ken Morrison, the current chairman of Morrisons, or William Morrisons, to give it it's full name.
Some time during the 1950s the firm eschewed the market for a shop in the centre of Bradford. It had three checkouts (pretty much unheard of, back then, and introduced the concept of self-service and individually priced goods to the citizens of Bradford.
It must have caught on because within a few years (1961) the company opened its first supermarket in a converted cinema in the city.
Thus are the beginnings of one...
