Suunto Mosquito diving wrist diving computer

Advantages: very easy to read underwater
Disadvantages: battery life not very good

...Very easy to use wrist diving computer. The information provided is clear and the digits are large enough to read underwater. Information provided when diving is depth, time, no decompression time, water temperature, ascent rate, safety stop and nitrox mix. As a scuba diving instructor I have had 3 Mosquito's and always found them to be reliable, even after many hours of diving. As the computer is on all the time it can be used as a watch, the bracelet is black rubber and the facing comes in different colours. An additional extra is the face protector which I would recommend to avoid scratching the glass. Down side is that the battery life is only around 6 months, but the battery change is not too expensive to replace. Our first trip to Venice and we stayed in a hotel just along from the bar and it was a stopping off bar on the way back to the hotel, and has now become a regular drinking hole. The name comes from the BIG mosquito that is hanging from the ceiling, (not real) and the adornments around the bar are tee-shirts with the creature on in various poses, print, languages and colour. Originally it was a very small company started by the owner , Andrew Dollermore in his father's barn in Derbyshire. It grew rapidly and was doing very well - over about 8 years I believe. Towards the end of the time - Oct 2008 There were about 12 web support staff who covered this service hroughout the day and night every day of the year. They were a nice close-knit group and enjoyed their job in this small family company. In April 2008 Streamline.net was sold for a huge sum - several millions - to Fasthost based down in Gloucestershire. All the staff were told that their jobs were guaranteed for a year.
