the Edmondstone Motel was great and would stay again

Advantages: a really nice place to stay cosy, clean, modern friendly handy and in expensive
Disadvantages: we have nothing negitive to say about this place

...we travel to brisbane on a regular basis,but found the Edmondstone by accident a few months ago. In our opinion,we can highly recommend this little motel because.It was not only inexpensive but clean, quiet and in a great location.From the moment you enter the reception you felt welcomed. It is nice to be recognised and even our names remembered, and just friendly people. In my opinion the rooms looked neat and tidy and spacious.Actually from our first visit we realised that it looked like they had been newly renovated . The bed was a king size and was soooo comfortable. After running around all day on business it was nice to come back to a cosy environment, after eating locally( great recommendations ) and then flopping on the bed to watch some telly on a large flat screen TV ( bigger than ours at home ) . Spacious Modern Motel

Advantages: Easy to find with spacious rooms
Disadvantages: Ground level rooms subject to car noise

...Do not be put off by the reception being to the rear of the Motel. This is to avoid the crowds waiting for a table in their excellent restaurant. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and all the usual facilities such as multilingual tv channels and mini-bar. Facilities include a gymnasium and large swimming pool, with a sports shop to purchase those forgotten items. A general shop is located at the front of the Motel for more mundane items and gifts. The bar, situated to the rear of the Motel, is large and comfortable with sofas and armchairs, and has a view of the pool. Outside of the Motel are facilities for local sports teams and competietive games are held there. You are only a short, walking, distance of Animali which is a smal zoo. I was their sleeping beauty!

Advantages: Clean and tidy and very friendly.
Disadvantages: No restaurant.

...Around four months ago I travelled to London to do a photo shoot, I was very excited as I had been out of modelling for a while but I was also very nervous as I had not worked with the photographer before and was staying in a hotel I had never used before also. The shoot went very well and the hotel I stayed in was beautiful so all was good in the end. The hotel in question was the Sleeping Beauty Hotel; Ciao has called it the sleeping beauty motel but it was definitely hotel on the brochure, anyway never mind. The hotel is situated in Leyton which is in the East of London, so not a hotel you would be likely to use for a typical sightseeing holiday to London as you are well away from the attractions. This weekend was my Nan?s 70th birthday and to celebrate, our family which included 22 of us drove up to Caldicot in Wales for a Medieval Feast and party. My next review will tell you more about that but this review is about where we spent the night after our celebration. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast not far from the castle where we had our party. It is found in the village of Caldicot which only took us an hour and ten mins from Bath. Brooklands Motel is found on the by pass B4245 as you enter Caldicot which meant it was not hard to find. Well I found it straight away there were a few that got a bit lost. There is a large green sign seen from the road saying Brooklands Motel. My first impression of the place...

...My wife and I have stayed at the Half Moon Bay Marina Motel a number of times in the past, the last time being about 2 years ago. We knew that the nice Dutch couple that originally owned the Motel had left about the time we were last there, but we booked into it again when we visited friends in Auckland Upon arrival, the 1 bedroom unit booked was not available, as another customer was staying on. We were shown a studio unit, and the asian manager asked us three times if it was O.K., and we said it was. We dropped our bags off and went visiting. Upon our return later that night, we were both very tired so collapsed in bed. When we got up in the morning and started using the facilities, we found that the unit was in a poor state of repair. McDonald's of Motels

Advantages: cheap, comfortable bed, decent bathroom
Disadvantages: nowhere to get food from apart from teh Little Chef, nasty pillows

...Oxford. The Holiday Inn would have just worked too expensive for a family of four, so we eventually booked a night in the Travelodge and eventually ended up staying there for four days. We booked online, as we usually do just a day before traveling, and thus paid the full rate of £60 per night - but it was still less than two thirds of what any other place was offering. For that, we got a family room with a normal double bed and a sofa with a pull-out for the children. Travelodge is a chain of cheapo motels, they have 300 sites all over the UK. ...We arrived at the Mount Robson Inn in the Jasper National Park late one afternoon after a long coach journey and check in was very quick. Just as well, as the reception was quite small, although there was a couple of settees that you could sit on whilst waiting and some leaflets about the area. Our luggage was taken straight from the coach and in our room for when we arrived, if you drove you had to deal with your own luggage, as this is really a "motel" rather than a "hotel". We were given a plan on how to find the room, there were 80 different suites and rooms, on two levels, set around a large courtyard which was the parking area and looked very pretty with raised flower tubs. ...If you're driving through Serbia, there's no shortage of roadside motels where you can break your journey. On doing research into the possibilities, we found that the general level didn't look all that great, but to be fair, there were some lovely looking hotels a short drive from the motorway if time wasn't an issue. For us time most definitely was an issue so our choice was governed by 'in-and-out' speed. We booked the Motel Stari Hrast because we reckoned we would arrive there around 6pm which would give us plenty of time to freshen up and grab a bite to eat etc. In fact, one of the attractions of this hotel was its 'internationally renowned' restaurant. I booked it through booking.com and it didn't look too bad, I even checked the guest reviews but most weren't in English. Anyway, it seemed OK and at 45 euros with breakfast...

Hotel or Motel? The answer follows:-

Advantages: Good prices! Near(ish) to Alton Towers.
Disadvantages: Basic (but do-able)

...Location: The hotel is on the Westbound carriageway of the A50, and is just a couple of miles from the M1, off of J24. The A50 also joins up with the M6 at the other end. This is close to the East Midlands airport, Derby, Donnington Park race Track and Alton Towers. Be aware the adverts say its just 30 mins to Alton Towers. Treat the journey as 40 mins and you'll be ok. Note on Location: The hotel and facilities are ONLY available when travelling on the Westbound carriageway. If your travelling Eastbound, you have to go up to the junction with the M1 to be able to turn round (but its only a few mins away). Hotel or Motel: If your expecting something like the Hilton or Holiday Inn (plush and fancy) then you wont like it here.
