It wasn't long though until we found a saloon, a convenience store and further along the main street we could see signs for a Motel 6 right next to the Stagecoach Hotel and Casino along with a gas station. Signs advertised pretty cheap prices for the Motel 6 and we thought it looked lovely and clean alongside the somewhat tackier looking Casino accommodation so we drove in to enquire what was on offer. ***Motel 6's*** There are many of these motels all over the USA and if you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation with no frills then these are the ones for you. You can book ahead from one to the next if you are travelling like us, although I have to say we decided to wait and look for something a bit more luxurious in the towns we stopped off in on our road trip. Review of Motel 6, Beatty, Nevada

the Edmondstone Motel was great and would stay again

Advantages: a really nice place to stay cosy, clean, modern friendly handy and in expensive
Disadvantages: we have nothing negitive to say about this place

...we travel to brisbane on a regular basis,but found the Edmondstone by accident a few months ago. In our opinion,we can highly recommend this little motel because.It was not only inexpensive but clean, quiet and in a great location.From the moment you enter the reception you felt welcomed. It is nice to be recognised and even our names remembered, and just friendly people. In my opinion the rooms looked neat and tidy and spacious.Actually from our first visit we realised that it looked like they had been newly renovated . The bed was a king size and was soooo comfortable. After running around all day on business it was nice to come back to a cosy environment, after eating locally( great recommendations ) and then flopping on the bed to watch some telly on a large flat screen TV ( bigger than ours at home ) . Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7
Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap

Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

Panasonic Lumix TZ6 - metal-bodied compact zoom

Advantages: Sturdiness, Ease of use, Autofocus Tracking
Disadvantages: Overshadowed by the TZ7, Tries to do everything for you

...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture. Why would I want that? I don't have 15 friends - and even if I did, I'm sure I could remember them myself! The TZ6 is aimed at people who want to take nice pictures but don't really want to know how those pictures are achieved. Advantages: Easy to find with spacious rooms
Disadvantages: Ground level rooms subject to car noise

...Do not be put off by the reception being to the rear of the Motel. This is to avoid the crowds waiting for a table in their excellent restaurant. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and all the usual facilities such as multilingual tv channels and mini-bar. Facilities include a gymnasium and large swimming pool, with a sports shop to purchase those forgotten items. A general shop is located at the front of the Motel for more mundane items and gifts. The bar, situated to the rear of the Motel, is large and comfortable with sofas and armchairs, and has a view of the pool. Outside of the Motel are facilities for local sports teams and competietive games are held there. You are only a short, walking, distance of Animali which is a smal zoo. ...I find it amazing that I can sit at home and make a reservation for a motel 4000 miles away, turn up, give my surname and the motel can tell me my first name! If you arrive after around 10pm the reception area will be closed, this happens every night to protect the staff and rather than serving you over the large counter you visit a small window in the lobby area instead. There were ice machines, vending machines with crisps, chocolate, toothpaste, gum, and "sodas" in the lobby. The reception area proper has a large selection of tourist information leaflets, and from early to mid morning coffee on the go. Being close to the railroad meant that there was a lot of noise, and this really isn't a place for light sleepers. An ok one night stop.

Advantages: Nice food next door

...on the small side, but the were two each and face cloths. There was also a bar of soap each, an ice bucket. We had a queen room, which has one double bed, and a table and chairs. There were coat hangers and a suitcase rack. The TV had around 20 channels. The room was however spotlessly clean. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the next door Tamarisk restaurant, which was wonderful. Great choice, friendly service and delicious food. As far as I remember there were a few other fast food places around town. We only had one night in Green River so I can't tell you what the room servicing was like but there was a note saying bed linen is changed every 3 days unless you request different, towels left in the shower are replaced and the beds made daily. The motel has an outside pool, with sunloungers around the edge, but we didn't use it...

Review of Motel 6 Green River

Focus 1.6 - A fun stylish serious car.

Advantages: Comfortable, spacious for passengers, driver and lugage. Nippy and stylish.
Disadvantages: Its not the ST170 and its not the RS.

...My 1.6 is one of the late early 2001 models and it is a pleasure to drive it was second hand and had two previous owners, I'm not sure how they treated it but when I picked it up it was in pristine condition which to me says that it is a fairly hardwearing car. Its smooth lines and contours make for a slightly sporty look as well as the memories of the Rally focus in all its glory tearing up the WRC. It is a very smooth ride with fantastic handling so if you are a little heavy on the peddle it has the strength to compensate. Acceleration is good and you through the range of the 5 speed gear box, and at the other end of the scale the brakes are hot too mine only has discs on the front and Drums on the back but there is plenty there to slow down the 125 horses that kick out of the engine.
