Fortunately it has the same format as the M2N68, but unfortunately I cannot use it because it raises the connectors too high, taking space from one of the only available HD bays. Good board, but very bad planning. Even on my large full-atx cabinet, connecting everything was an unpleasant challenge. I do not recommend this board for anyone with a slim or reduced-size cabinet, or anyone who works with 4 hd's. And contrary to CIOS's description of 5 SATA ports, it has 4....

ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 - A great upgrade motherboard

The chipset is the only one currently on the market that allows the use of both AGP and/or PCI-Express graphic cards for the AMD Socket 939 CPU's. The board gave me an upgrade path that I have fully used. When I bought the board I had a Nvidia 6800GT AGP graphics card, I couldn't afford to upgrade that aspect when I was also buying a Athlon 64 939 Chip (3700+) and a motherboard, Since then I have purchased a PCI-Express 16 Nvidia 7800GT. The new graphics card went into the board with no issues. The only negatives I would give to this board was the lack of a firewire port and lack of gigabit internet but as I paid £55...

It is a micro ATX board so is alot smaller than any ATX board so therefore has the disadvantage of not having much opportunity for expansion. There are only three PCI slots which is fine if you do not require many but considering that a modem, soundcard and now wireless cards need PCI slots then this does not leave many options if you wish to install these. MSI is a highly respected motherboard manufactorer and have incorporated the intel 865PE chipset into this fantastic motherboard. Thanks to Rabid's suggestion, I went to the MSI section of overclockers. There I found the one he suggested, below it was this baby. For just £10 more I could have dual DDR RAM, as well as a few other minor enhancements. This board has all the standard features, like AGP 8x, ATA 133 support and 5 PCI ports. It's also got 4 ram slots (with dual DDR ram support and supporting up to 500Mhz RAM on overclock speeds). It supports all pentium 4 chips including the new Extreme and Prescott processors.
