...Granada men and motors is another channel from the granada network. This also includes Granada Breeze and some ITV programming. It has some really tacky shows such as Beaver Espana and SexTV, then it has really tacky shows, but good at the same time, such as Hot Bodies !! It is a good channel for blokes. It also has men nights and motor nights and motor weeks. There are a few good car programmes, but I prefer to watch it for the women myself on the men nights. Men nights are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Motor nights are Monday, Thursday and Sunday. A channel worth getting.... Read review

...An old but well enjoyable game as there are few really good motorbike racing games. The play is smooth and the graphics are good and there are a good selecton of bikes and the game on the whole is a lot of fun. It only needs a basic 4mb AGP graphics card to get decent looking game out of it and you can zoom along on a motor bike over a quite extensive selection of tracks. It is real fun. Motor bike games are a little bit different to cars in that you have a little bit more track to play with when over taking.... Read review

Advantages: Cheap running costs, fun to ride

...I bought my Gilera Runner DD 50cc motor scooter just over a year now and have been pleasantly surprised with it. I bought it to mainly use when the car wasn't available but have found myself using it more and more recently. I know you see a lot of scooters on the roads these days - many of which seem to be holding the traffic up but not mine. It will go comfortably at 50mph and a bit faster if needed which is an ideal speed for travelling back and forth to work. The petrol costs are really good and insurance is ok. As long as you have a full motor vehicle licence you don't even need to do any bike training. An excellent alternative to the motor vehicle for short journeys to work.... Read review

...I often buy Auto Trader because I like to keep abreast of what is happening in the motor industry and I like to see annoyingly how much my recently purchased new van has dropped in price as soon as I paid top whack for it! The layout of the magazine is very straigtforward and makes sense. It is split up into several sections like cars, classic cars, vans, HGV's and so on. Each of these sections is split alphabetically and goes through each manufacturer that has one of their vehicles advertised. You can find almost anything in Autotrader. They have all sorts from the good old British motor days of Austin to a spanking new Korean Daewoo!!. You should also try the Autotrader website because this is a real good website with all the adverts listed and many have colour pictures with them which can give you a fair indication of what... There are two particular reasons why the magazine may be of interest to the motorsport enthusiast and both of these relate to the amount of time the magazine has been published. Firstly the magazine has a huge archive of articles which were written at the time of the races or incidents and much of the material from these articles is used in new pieces for the magazine. Profiles of drivers, circuits or races from the last 50 years are freshly written and in publication take advantage of the second reason to buy it. ...For many,many years Britain's motoring magazine reading public had essentially two similar publications to choose from : AutoCar and Motor. Then in the 1980's,these two staples were merged under the auspices of Haymarket Magazines Ltd, as Autorcar. For a weekly magazine Autorcar is enormously popular. Its circulation is around 100,000 and at 2 pounds per copy it is by no means cheap although you do get some 130 odd pages for your money. Autorcar is informative,up to date and very well written. It is well produced,has good photographs and drawings and printed on good quality paper. It always has an interesting cover, a good editorial and a useful index. It publishhes road tests the results of which seem to be highly regarded. Then it has stacks and stacks of news items -news about the motor industry,new models,new sports cars... Read review

...Spring Park Motors in Shirley are a small family run business who specialise in Subaru and Isuzu. As expected from a Subaru delear, there customer service is first class. They are honest (i.e. tell you they haven’t had time to do something rather than just charge you for it!) and friendly. I take my Impreza there for all its services and I have not been disappointed yet. On one occasion, because I couldn’t get to the dealer before they shut, they even dropped the car round to my house and popped the keys through the letterbox! Spring Park Motors might not be the cheapest Subaru dealer around, but I know that when I take my car to them I am getting first class honest service. They are a dealer you can trust.... Read review

Advantages: simple, efficient, hard to break
Disadvantages: no good if you repair vacuums for a living - they don't need repairing!

...The Numatic Henry HVR200 is a superb piece of equipment. I sold and repaired vacuum cleaners for 10 years and throughout this time the Henry remained a market leader. The cleaner itself is so simple - it's basically just a motor over a bucket - but in this simplicity itself lies its strength - it is very, very difficult to break. Unless you pick up a couple of gallons of water with this thing (it's a dry vac only!) you will be very unlikely to ever damage your motor. The ceramic bearing 1000W workhorse of a motor on this just keeps going and going. The tools are of a superb quality (stainless steel and high quality ABS plastic)and the whole thing is very difficult to fault. Even the kids love Henry - because he has a smiley face on the front!... Read review
